This particular Oxxo is convenient both to the Tulum highway (307) and the Puerto Aventuras pueblo. So it was a natural stop for cold beers after a long hot day on the water angling for sport fish. We tried to hit it up on the way to our boat, but they don't start selling beer until something like 8am or whatever. So that was a no-go. However on a scorched afternoon in this sleepy pueblo, the Oxxo is running full speed, and our cold Sol needs were well met. Gracias, Oxxo.

I give them $5- $6 in coins and dollars in pesos. You can pay with American dollars but your change will be in pesos and the rates will be the worst rates, lol. I can use my cards or American dollars so I always have $100 or $150 in pesos. Anyways, they sell noodles, hot dogs, pizza slices, fruits, and sandwiches if you want something more substantial. They have a lot of beer, alcohol, water, gatorade, juices, sodas, and milk. Very nice

I got three packs of Gummy Yummy. I always buy stuff we can't get back home, so I grabbed the Aros, Flan, and Glows. I believe they were 22 pesos each? They had a fair variety of candy, but I didn't want to go overboard, so I stuck to the three. The Aros were fine as they were just gummy rings. So were the Glow as they were gummy stars. The Flan was weird and artificial tasting, but hey, I had to try it. Paying was easy. The roommate and I had pesos from another trip, so we just used those. Convenient if you want to hit up a 7-Eleven by the cruise terminal.

They charged my credit card 702 pesos (about $35) for an anti-diarrheal (20 tablets) and some Tylenol (20 tablets). Again, prices are not marked on the boxes. Went next door to see what the prices should have been. 105 pesos for the Tylenol and 12 pesos for the anti-diarrheal (about $7). I went back to register my complaint/get a refund and while they still wouldn't give me a concise price for the items I had purchased, they said I could choose some other items from the store to make up the difference. Yeah, right, I'm going to choose some other items with unmarked prices assuming they will be honest with me? Not a chance. I will take up the issue with my credit card company. AVOID THESE THIEVES!
