We always sit in her section because she takes such good care of us and is a lot of the reason we keep going back. Not only was Rex the comedian fantastic, so was the entire experience. From the host to the manager Tracy, who went out of her way to accommodate me and my busted foot, we really felt taken care of. I opened for Ronny Chieng yesterday and opened for him and Chris Martin. They're both Beasts on the mic and it was amazing sharing a stage with them. Ronny, Thanks Brother! This review is about the service we received in the green room from beginning to the end of both shows. It was First Class. The Manager Leonard took my call and held the door open to spot me and guide me to a reserved parking spot for comedians. That has never happened to me and that courtesy alone was worth 5 stars for the club. They welcomed us, introduced themselves, and provided amazing customer service. Everyone was friendly and professional. The staff at The Irvine Improv and Oxnard Improv are respectful and professional and I respect that. Me, Chris, and Ronny killed it (I did better on the first show, I tapered off (crowd laughs) on the second show. Win some, lose some. Oxnard Levity Live is a W for me. Dope, Unique Comedy Club inside the biggest outdoor strip mall I've ever seen. The Strip Mall has STREETS inside the mall you drive through because it has every freakin American Corporate Franchise. Hell yeah it was right for Minimum wage to be raised, and it should be raised every year in accordance with inflation. The Corporations took over Oxnard and built The Disneyland of Outdoor Malls and killed off many mom and pop shops. I digress. Five Stars. read more

Beware how you purchase your tickets. Been to Levity Live a few times now. Just make sure you purchase tickets from Levity website, not any of the Ticket resellers. I paid $185.00 for 2 tickets to a show where on the Levity site sold for $22.00 each. I paid $69.00 each plus numerous 'Service Charges' etc. My printed tickets had someone else's name on them! On a better note, I need to give high marks for the service and food. Servers are quick and pleasant and thorough. Food tasty and hot! Drinks are expensive but my wine pour was plenty so happy about that! read more

Nice spot for a live comedy show. I wasn't sure what to expect based on mixed reviews for this venue, but overall it was fun experience and I would return. The food is decent bar food (a bit pricey), but hit the spot. There is a mandatory two item minimum in addition to the price of admission. We saw a fun comedy variety show and it was excellent. The staff did a good job with serving. Bathrooms were a little messy and seating was a little close for comfort. With Covid still lingering it would have been nice to have a bit more distance between the tables. Parking was easy and the Collection offers a lot of places to eat and shop. read more

First time visitors to Oxnard Levity Live to see Jamie Lissow. My wife and I were a bit unsure of what to expect because of the plethora of negative reviews. We showed up shortly after the doors opened at 4:30 for the 6 o'clock show. It took no time at all to be escorted to a pair of middle seats at a table for 8. It was a bit cramped, but comfortable. The complaints about service that we had read about were unfounded. The staff was friendly and worked their tails off. We ordered food and drinks within 10 minutes of being seated. Drinks showed up in about 5 minutes and our food 10 to 15 minutes after that. Everybody at our table got food and drinks promptly. Jamie Lissow was hilarious. The staff came around to settle up towards the end of the show. All in all, we had an excellent experience -- perhaps showing up early is the thing to do. read more

We go here a lot and was looking forward for a show in May. I bought tickets when the state/county started opening up. We showed up on the the day of the show only to find the doors closed. I double checked my e-mail for any notice that the show was canceled and there was none. I e-mailed them to voice my concern that no notice was given - not even a sign on the door. No response! Their FAQ stated that they will issue refund for rescheduled show if we cannot attend the new schedule. I was told by Ticketweb that the vendor is not allowing refund and was told to sell my tickets instead. I am so disappointed to say the least. They have been posting shows on their websites claiming they will issue refunds if needed. They basically funded themselves by posting/selling tickets for months that they were going to postpone anyway then they refuse to give refunds. So sad since we would like to come back but now we can't support this shady business. read more

I love coming in this venue! The operation is well run. The staff are friendly, fast and work very hard. I recently took 12 of my friends to see Rene Vaca on 1/31/25 and had the best time ever. Leading up to the show I reached out to the Event Sales Manager Stacy Castro and I had one of the best customer services i've ever had with a ticketing/sales agent. She was super friendly, informative, and made purchasing the upgraded package we got very easy. Once we got to the venue, our server Rafael met us and walked us to our seats. He was funny, friendly and handled our large groups order very promptly. It's great to have this venue on the central coast. They bring in big names that other places can't offer. Such a fun place to enjoy comedy and improv locally. The offer a menu full of appettizers, drinks and entrees. We tried mostly appettizers and cocktails. I did notice the cocktails were not strong, did not taste the alcohol which was not great especially for the price. Food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. However the service was decent was how busy it was when we went for a late show. It is still a good spot to support local comedians and other shows. read more

Went to a comedy show today and I would say AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. FOOD is terrible, manager is terrible, ambiance is meh. First of all I ordered a chicken sandwich and my chicken was burnt like burnt toast but the chicken was undercooked. After 3 bites I stopped eating it and I told someone the chicken was undercooked. Then they asked me if I wanted to reorder the same thing I said no and ordered boneless wings instead which I never even received after 20 minutes. Then the manager comes up to me to negotiate that he can only give me 20% I said absolutely not. Then he said he's calling security and 5 guards came to take me outside lol relax it's not that serious. Then I said so if I get sick and go to the hospital I should tell them I'll only pay 20%. Wow ridiculous so basically they said I can't go back in to which I said F*** this place. This is my first review ever on Yelp and usually I am not critical on experiences, but my recent visit was questionable. For me, the service provided when it came getting our food and drinks was on point. Waitress was very helpful and good. For me, the deal breaker was the management. The management can be quite rude and condescending especially in dealing with viewers. For example, one of the viewers was taking a picture of comedian we were seeing: Carlos Mencia. I know it's against policy there to record and photograph, but there's a more lenient way of approaching and handling the situation. One of the employees or managers was just using a rude and aggressive tone towards this young guy photographing which made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable. I am a healthcare professional and that is no way to approach someone. The tone could've been easily different from that interaction into handling the situation. There was commotion during the middle of the show between staff and viewers where security was involved. For me personally, it was taking away from the experience of the show as I was more focused on the staff and security in front of me rather than the comedian himself. I kinda got fed up and decided to leave. Overall, I am disappointed with the experience and hopefully there can be room for improvement. I really think the waitress that attended to us was best along with the staff member at the front when we were leaving, but management needs to be improved. Would I recommend maybe ? I'm trying to keep this short and simple. Don't know if I'm ever gonna go back here. Tickets were free to drink minimum drinks or expensive in my opinion food wasn't a huge selection very basic nothing spectacular. The food took an hour to come out and probably would've been longer than an hour, but we stopped, somebody and asked if our food was ready because it had been an hour then some 6 foot blonde lady came up to me and my cousin who were just sitting right next to each other. You know exchanging a few words with each other and shush us in front of everybody everybody was staring, as if we broke the biggest rule of the venue which keep in mind they do lay down some ground rules. They would like you to not be talking amongst each other if you are keep it to a minimum, which that was our minimum, and no flash orography no filming the comedians so not so friendly because then after that, my mother-in-law was checking her cameras at her house because she had an alert on her phone and a security guard came out to her and yelled at her to put her phone away, which was really confusing because other people had their phones out. I'm not sure if they thought she was recording but she explained to them he said I don't care put your phone away or you could leave, these tickets free I don't know why they're giving out free tickets but I don't think business is booming for them to be treating people like that then for a little bit of context for the next issue my husband when he goes out uses cash and other regular spending, he tends to use credit cards and then the only time he finds himself using his debit card is when he is making a payment to his credit card so he ran out of cash and quickly used his debit card to pay his tab at liberty live, which was for two drinks and woke up the next day with a $200 charge in Paris France because somehow him using his card at levity live somebody got his debit card information and stole it so be careful don't recommend honestly. The only great thing about my experience there was the comedian. read more

Second time at this venue and enjoyed it! It was a small show, so all available seats were in the front. The tables are packed together, but the smallish crowd made it easier to spread out. The brownie sundae and an iced coffee is my go-to order from now on. This is by no means a reflection of the entertainment, which was excellent. This is strictly a review of the venue, which needs to do some work. The show was supposed to be at 9:15 with doors opening and 9. Long lines of people standing outside in 47 degree weather. We Californians aren't made for that kind of chill, and we stood outside until well after 9:30. The check in process was odd, at best. They came down the line and took or names well before we were actually given entry, and guess what? People could have easily joined in the line and gotten in without a ticket. Inside the seating process was slow and chaotic. We ordered our mandatory food and drinks and the food came a good 15 minutes before the drinks did. I don't know about most people, but I think that's a choking hazard or something. The prices were OK, and the service decent, but they really buried themselves in the customer satisfaction department by letting people stand outside and freeze for far too long. read more

First time at this venue to see a sold out Steve Treviño show! We were a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews specially cause we had to drive almost 2 hours to get there, our food was tasty and came fast, drinks took a while, but it's understandable on such a busy night. Horrible service, from the severs to management, asked 3 different servers if they could either have our server help us or take our order. After the 3rd attempt I asked to speak to the manager for it had been almost an hour since the show started and not even our server has attended us yet. Now this wasn't just our table it was the whole row of booths/tables, after the check came I simply asked to speak to the manger about my experience and if there was a way we could make it right, instead the manager ignored me, walked away, then threaten to have security escort me out if I didn't pay a bill, instead of being professional and trying to work a compromise she had me escorted and threaten to call police if I didn't pay the bill Once again levity live and the collection show that they don't care for one's experience, but care more for making money read more

Purchased tickets to Ronny Chieng to a pretty packed show for $160. The other people at our table pleasant and wonderful people. Did NOT BUY TICKETS TO THIS SHOW. Packed like sardines already is a bit. I think they have a system in place when it comes to serving and they follow it. Not in a good way. We were the last table at the end and had ordered just drinks. Working their way down across the theater they served in order and when they got to us finally they only had the food for the people sitting with us and no drinks. We attended last night's show. Was seated promptly, we were seated at a table where other guests were, no biggy. We ordered a drink right after them, from same waitress. They got thier drinks immediately. Almost an hour later ...the waitress asks if I got drinks, I didn't want it by then the show was ending. (Didnt want to drink it and hop in my car stinking of whiskey) She was already gathering cards for payments. She assured me "there's an hour left of show". Then I said yes bring it then. I ordered a Woodford whiskey with orange and a cherry. They bring me "a" whiskey with a lime on edge. And my friends old fashioned with nothing in it besides alot of ice. At the closing of show, she brings me a cup filled with like 8 cherries, charged me $58, didn't offer a receipt, everyone else got offered. I couldn't talk to her because the comedian was up there and the waitress was like 2 seats away leaning over everyone talking. Very poor experience, waste of money. I came here with my family to catch Jo Koy on tour. I had seen his show previously in Ontario so I was excited to see him again. I don't go to improv clubs a lot but one of the main things I have noticed are the intimacy of it. Aside from the expensive reserved seating booths you can purchase for the evening, the seating is first come first serve. Knowing this I arrived over an hr and a half before doors opened and there was already a line. Shortly before doors opened, the staff scanned the tickets and provided wristbands to enter. The check in process was quick and seamless. Then we entered the club in a single file line and were escorted to our seats based on the number of people in our party. The staff was friendly, but they messed up orders on a couple of occasions throughout the night. They would bring someone else's order to our table and they didn't have/couldn't find the ingredients for my sister's drink, so she had to change it 3 times. They only just opened, so they couldn't be out of the drinks. The food was okay, nothing special. Compared to the improv place in Ontario, this location seemed to hold a bigger audience. My family and I drove from Sherman Oaks to watch this show as a belated mother's day gift for my mom. Would I come back? Depends on who is performing. Otherwise, I might just stick to improv places in LA. read more

The Oxnard Levity Live. Just went last night to see Bert Kreischer, the show was great but the place is horrible, way over crowded. They pack you in so tightly that it's unbearable and painful to enjoy the show. I had more leg room on cheep flights. The drinks are so water down you're going to need a life vest. The waiters get in the way of the show to the point that it makes it hard to pay attention to what's happening. There is a two item minimum that they force you to buy on top of paying $60.00 per ticket. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I will never go there again. Yelp 100 Challenge 2018 - # 42/100 I didn't really know what to expect despite seeing the pictures of food. I was thinking the VIP tables are the only ones getting the option of ordering food. It was another sold out night for Jo Koy. We bought our tickets as early as December but still missed out on his shows that are a lot closer to home. We got there 45 minutes before the show was scheduled to start and the lines were super long. There was a separate line for VIP ticket holders who got seated first. When it was our turn to go inside I noticed that the tables from the front to the middle of the room were already occupied. There's a long table with chairs situated so you'd be facing the stage. Although it was a little past the middle of the floor you could still see the performers well enough. I thought we'd be seated there. As luck would have it, since we were a smaller group the host was able to find us a table right behind another in the front row. We were so close to the stage! We had such a wonderful time here. I still was abstaining from meat so I ordered the seared ahi tuna sliders. They were good. We also ordered the dirty fries and our server was nice enough to notify the kitchen staff to put the bacon on the side so I can eat the fries. The chicken wings looked good too but of course I couldn't taste that. I got the bottomless pineapple punchline, a non alcoholic drink $12, price includes the take home souvenir glass. read more

Laughed so hard my face hurt. Let me start with that. In the middle of a large, busy shopping center is the unlikely but perfect venue for a comedy club. Showing top "A" list comedians. With an appealing exterior; the interior is well suited to hold a few hundred people. The staff that I came in contact with were very customer service oriented. A trained experienced staff that took care of our us as we watched the show. Can't say enough about the great service there. We ordered a few appetizers. Small plates that were easy to share. We also added a big salad plus a few drinks. Everything was delicious and came to our table in a timely manner. Overall, a fantastic night of laughing. If your a fan of comedy and see a comedian performing that you enjoy. Do not hesitate to watch a show here. It was worth the time and money spent. This place is a winner. read more

The spinach artichoke dip was delicious and my pizza was really good. My friends hamburger bun was soggy but otherwise the food was good.
