I am particularly impressed with Alex Lawler, who is the Center Director. I've known Alex for almost four years now and he has been so professional and expeditious with his response whether it's by phone, email, or in-person. For example, my second daughter needed help with Honors Living Earth and within a few minutes on the phone, Alex was able to locate me an in-person tutor to start within the next 24-48 hours. In light of the covid 19 which their doors are closed they're scamming people by randomly charging them. I recieved a note this week that i was not charged because thier system didn't charge me. I asked her please give me time to investigate this... instead Rebekah Rustad-Phung runs the supposed charges and doesn't let me investigate this issue. My daughter has never needed help until now. She's been struggling with Chemistry, and was not getting the help she needed at school, was stressed and anxious. I have been looking for help, without success...either no call backs, too expensive, etc. Until I called Oxford! I've taken my daughter here for tutoring for years. Parking on Sundays is difficult at best. There is another business that fills the lot, so we always need to walk from another lot down the street. We have dealt with that, but the issue we have faced recently is unforgivable. I always pay cash at the time of her session and have never carried an outstanding balance so I was surprise to receive email notice of a late payment charge for $20.00 last month. After locating my receipt for cash payment for $100.00 and emailing a photo of the receipt for the date in question as requested, I was told that my receipt was not sufficient proof of payment and my outstanding balance is still $120.00!! Unbelievable!! What "other" proof of payment should I need to provide? They said the receipt I provided had an invoice number that did not correspond to my daughter's account and therefore the balance is still outstanding! Unbelievable that they would treat a long time customer who has NEVER had an outstanding balance this way! Clearly, they have made an error and credited my payment to another account if that is what their receipt indicates, but yet they still choose to demand payment from me. If they will not honor the receipt that they provide their customers, they should just say we do not accept cash payments. But it is not ok to accept my cash payment, give me a receipt, and then come back to me later and say that receipt is not sufficient proof of payment! read more

After many search online for a good tutoring center, we found Oxford Tutoring. I called and spoke with David. He was so patient with me and answered all my questions no matter how silly they sounded. I don't know, but I assume the other preparation options are as good as the ACT prep. We were referred to Oxford by a good friend, and I can't thank her enough. As we head into our 4th year, it is the best decision we've made. My son took a SAT prep course at another center. It was a rigorous schedule, meeting 8 hours a day during the summer. After a week he wanted to quit. His contentions were that the teachers did not know any tricks and just had the class do pages of problems. Needless to say, he only improved by 50 points. A whole summer wasted!
