So far, I have only received the best tutors and never had any issue except for some minor scheduling issues that came up on my end and Reza resolved right away. It is nice to have a tutoring company that truly cares about each student and not just about collecting your money. The payment policy is also great because you get a discount for prepaid packages and if for any reason you need to cancel, you get your money back for the unused credits. I went to a bunch of other tutoring centers that charged much more and they had strict policies of buying prepaid and non refundable packages. I felt uncomfortable taking the risk of buying a huge package and not knowing if I liked the place. Also, with tutor genius the tutors come to your home which saves me the drive. They somehow make math fun, which I didn't think was possible. Math has actually become one of his strengths, and he's now learning with a grade above at school. The coaches are professional but also very approachable, and we've had a great experience with all of them. Ms. Ling (manager for this location) has been always so helpful whenever we need to freeze a few weeks due to traveling or have any questions, she's always so pleasant too. Mathnasium has no set class time. You can drop your child off anytime during their open hours, and the session starts when they check in. We don't have to stress about making a strict 3 pm or 4 pm start time, which works really well with our schedule. There's boba, lots of restaurants, and even a dog grooming spot in the same complex so we'll grab dinner, have a quick boba date, or get our dog groomed while waiting. However, I cannot advise anyone to purchase part 3 in good-faith without a strong warning. The material is fine, and she is forthcoming about this study guide being "different", but once you purchase it you'll see the quality-disparity is pretty drastic in a not-so-great way. Laura provides videos where she goes through them, but the questions are not modeled after real CSET questions , which is the entire magic of the first 2. In addition, several of the worksheets assume we can use a calculator, but calculators aren't allowed on the CSET, which proves these questions and worksheets are NOT what we actually need for the test it's supposed to be guiding us on. While I am sure part 3 is sufficient to pass, it feels very bare-minimum compared to the first 2. I think pricing all 3 equally gave a false-impression, since the disparity in usefulness/uniqueness are massive. The first 2 study guides are unlike anything else out there, and set her apart from the rest; but I cannot advise anyone to purchase part 3 unless you don't have any other resources.

This is definitely one of the top 10 Montessori schools in Orange County. Refine a few operational details, and they have the potential to easily break into the top 5. Areas for Improvement: Teacher rotation does cause disruption in student learning. The app updates and photos were so appreciated, especially when she was fussy with breast milk and transitioning to various foods. In many instances Ms. Julia was able to get my daughter to drink more milk than I could even do at home. In addition, my daughter's egg allergy was taken seriously and I am so glad the school provides NUTRITIOUS healthy food that is home cooked! Our son was a bit nervous for the first meeting as he didn't really know what to expect, but as soon as LeeAnn came in, she put our son at ease. She is so friendly and works great with kids. During the first meeting, she did an assessment to see where he is at. She then met with Taylor who runs Sprout Reading and they developed a plan for him. I really appreciated that they did this, because they could've just helped him read some books that we have at our house or helped him with some of his homework. I really appreciated how thorough everything was. After just a couple of meetings, she was able to explain to me exactly where it seemed that he was struggling. And, then she got to work on helping him through those areas. In just one month, we have already seen an improvement in his reading abilities. His confidence has increased, and his teacher at school has noticed as well. He is a lot more excited about reading and is more eager to try reading things on his own. We are very excited to see where this takes him in the next few months. Our son also has pretty severe ADHD, and LeeAnn has been wonderful in supporting him with that. There are better options available…read more Once session, on an iPad, was $65/hr for my child to learn in person, at a table, with 2 other students, so 3 students to 1 teacher, + $199 assessment to get started. Pricing is on par with some private school monthly tuitions but you only get 2 hours per week, instead of 35, and your kid learns from an iPad rather than an instructor, who is more like an exam proctor. You don't even get the same proctor every time, for this level of cost I felt I should have been you assigned a personal tutor who worked with him 1vs1 for an hour rather than being on an electronic device for a basic 3rd grade learning level.

After reviewing Howard Test Prep, and all of the comments, I decided to give them a call. My son was paired with Rick, who has been more than I could have dreamed! My son - who is not a fan of tutors in general - hit it off immediately. Rick's professionalism and preparedness in working with my son has been wonderful. He has been open and honest about what would, and would not, work to prepare for the ACT. My son had four short weeks, but the time was used very efficiently. Keeping up with the additional ACT-prep homework was important, and Rick didn't set an unrealistic work load, allowing him to keep up with his regular school assignments and extracurricular activities. My son found Rick's instructions clear and easy to work with. It helped him go from a previous ACT score of 28 to a jump of 32! Four points after four weeks! And, as a parent, I appreciated the reports provided after each session with details about the lesson and assigned work. I also liked the convenience of Rick coming to tutor in our home and working around my son's nighttime availability. It made our lives so much easier.
