We've been with Tutoring Club for a little over two months now, and it's been great for us. The staff is always friendly and just really nice to be around. Director Tim is awesome too. Tim is super flexible and easy to work with. My favorite part is the weekly progress updates. It's nice seeing how things are moving along without having to guess. Overall, it's just been a really good experience. read more

I'm so grateful for the help and support my child has received through tutoring. I have seen such a big difference in his progress and confidence, and he has advanced so much! He loved earning points for cool toys, which kept him motivated and excited to learn. He had several favorite tutors, but Miss Hailey was especially special to him. He would always say, "She pushes me to learn more, and she is so nice." I'm so happy to see how much he has grown and would definitely recommend this tutoring program to any parent! read more

The tutors have all been amazing here! They are always so helpful and professional every time my son has attended sessions here. His grades improved so much basically taking his C's to A's. I'm sad we will be leaving this location not because of anything they did but we are moving out of state to a smaller town that doesn't have a tutoring center near us. Definitely would recommend sending your child here if they need any academic support. They even give you a weekly progress report so if you aren't there you can know what your child did during their sessions, and how to further support them at home even! Great tool as a parent to have that information! read more

My son has been attending Tutoring Club for about 4-5 months, and we've seen a big improvement in his grades, especially in math. The teachers are very supportive and really care about helping students understand the material. All of the teachers have been great, and my son always feels comfortable asking questions. We especially appreciate Mr. Hewet, who is very relatable, easy to talk to, and very kind. We're very thankful for the support and highly recommend Tutoring Club to other families. read more

I was skeptical of this place at first. After having the consultation and did a lot of answers and questions with Tim, I felt more comfortable to have my son at this place for tutoring session. He has been doing great at this place. I will continue to have my son there as long he is does well. Great and friendly staff. read more

Our older daughter has been going to Tutoring club for 8 months and she has really blossomed during her time here. Tutoring club has helped reinforced the fundamentals of her reading and math and helped her tackle the next level confidently. Our younger daughter is now starting Tutoring club and is growing in confidence during her short time here, also. They enjoy working with Ms. Hailey and Ms. Cathy, and we appreciate Mr. Tim's regular updates on their progress and effective parent communication. read more

When we first contacted the Tutoring Club Tustin they were helpful in evaluating our grandsons areas of need. They listened to our concerns and together we set up a program to meet some basic Kindergarten and 1st grade goals. Their evaluation was right on target! We pre purchased some hours for him. Our grandson was happy to be a part of the Tutoring Club. He would ask daily, "Are we going to the club today"? Their incentive program for the students to earn points to purchase items they have earned really works! Jessica S. read more

My 4 year old started attending for sessions to prepare him for Pre-K. After just one session, we ended up signing up our HighSchooler to make sure he finishes the term strong. Our HighSchooler was able to pull his B to an A after just 2 sessions!! My Pre-K son is so excited for "school" he talks about it all week! The warmth, professionalism and success we are already witnessing makes us all eager to continue with the Tutoring Club, indefinitely :) read more

It took us a while to find the right tutoring support for my two boys. Tim provided us with a plan outlining goals and a timeline for progress. This past week we received the test results from school for Star Reading and both of my boys demonstrated growth especially my 5th grader. read more

We've had a great experience with this tutoring center, especially with the math help for my 14 yr old daughter. Tim does an awesome job managing the center and creating a welcoming environment, and we especially appreciate tutors Loi and Jason, whom are both really patient and good at explaining math to her in a way that actually clicks. Since starting tutoring, my daughter seems more confident and far less overwhelmed by math. It's been a relief to see her attitude improve, and I would definitely recommend this center to any parent looking for solid, supportive math tutoring. read more

We've been with the Tutoring Club for a full year now, and I can honestly say it's been one of the best decisions we've made for our son, Noah. He started as a 2nd grader, and now as he finishes 3rd grade, we've seen tremendous growth--not just academically, but in his overall confidence and enthusiasm for learning. What sets this place apart is the personal and engaging approach of the tutors. They've helped establish a consistent routine that has given Noah the structure he needed, while also making learning fun and encouraging. He looks forward to his sessions and has built such a positive connection with the team. We're so grateful for the support and care they've shown our family. Highly recommend the Tutoring Club to anyone looking for a place that truly invests in your child's growth! read more

Highly, highly, highly recommend. We've seen tremendous improvement with our daughter attending the tutoring sessions. Our daughter was initially falling behind 3rd grade math, we enrolled her and quickly she started to catch up. She's been enrolled since the and now she's ready to tackle 5th grade. The staff is the best and definitely with the students best interest in mind. read more

My 9th grader has been going for 2 months. She goes for 1 hour of tutoring along with 1 hour of study hall 3 days a week. (6 hours total) To ensure the session is effective, she goes in with a clear agenda to make sure she doesn't waste the time. Tutoring club is helping her with math, and with any composition (writing) assignments. They generate extra math worksheets for her based upon the math worksheets that her school is providing. Her math grade has slowly trended upwards. (Previously her grades were propped up with hours of pre-test cramming by me or dad) The tutors also go over her writing and compare it to the grading rubric that the teacher is using. They make recommendations based on the rubric. This has helped her fine tune her writing. I have checked these tutor assisted compositions afterwards to check their quality. (Once more, her history/english/science papers were all previously edited by me.) Her grades in history/english/science have held steady or trended upwards. Honestly, we could probably do this on our own. But being able to outsource this task has been priceless for our family harmony. After working all day, I don't have much energy left to tutor my own kid. It has been a relief coming home and knowing that she has finished 80% of her assignments. I do believe she is learning valuable study habits, and the focused time of studying has helped. We used to have a lot of stress at home trying to keep our teen on task, and make sure that she was studying properly. Her schooling is a great source of conflict and stress. Recently, our kid asked for tutoring so we tried tutoring club. (The fact that she is motivated might be part of the reason we are getting the results we are) I heard 10th grade is going to be very hard. We will be using tutoring club to try to front-load her this summer. Hopefully that will take the edge off of next school year. If it doesn't help, I'll be sure to update this review. read more

I have been very patient with Debbie and with the new manager Jason, before writing this review. Debbie promised a lot and talked us into a package for my 9th grade son. I have told her every session what was expected, but my son comes back after 2 hours with hardly anything done. It has happened several times, and now they have a new manager. I have requested to cancel the remaining sessionsand refund us, since nothing improved . I am trying to resolve the correct hours my son attended, I have left messages and 2 emails, unfortunately no reply so far. My husband and I drove a long distance with great hopes , my son would improve. So terribly disappointed. read more

Had a great experience here! Found Tim Nguyen abt 30 hrs before a huge test my daughter had to take which would impact her college future. She has a learning difference which made the material especially challenging. Stakes were high & there was no time to spare. Tim took us on and fit her into his already-crammed schedule for about 6 hrs of one-on-one help before the test. She passed! And we have him to thank. She had been using a series of online tutors throughout the summer, but it was not working. Tim had a way of demystifying the material and lowering her anxiety so she could grasp the information. The atmosphere at Tutoring Club of Tustin was professional yet upbeat and not at all intimidating. I saw kids there of all ages and the energy in the room was very appealing. Seems like a top-notch group. Wish I had found them when my kids were younger! Highly recommend. read more

We were looking at various tutoring services to help our boys improve their reading comprehension skills. We then stumbled upon the Tutoring Club and decided to meet with Tim and his team. They presented us with a development plan with goals for our boys and how it would be monitored for progress. After several weeks of attending classes at the Tutoring Club, we were excited to see that our boy's comprehension had improved at their school. We believe that this is directly related to the classes they are taking at the Tutoring Club. read more

Our grandson, Damian (5yo) has been coming to Tutoring Club, Tustin for a few months. He has graduated from lessons on the letters and is in learning Phonics now! He is reading more and more without prompting as we go places. His confidence has risen a great deal as he is proud of himself when he reads something correctly. We are so happy with the tutors he has been placed with, especially how they work with Damian. Damian has pretty marked ADHD and can be quite the handful, he really enjoys tutoring and we are extremely happy that the tutors keep him on task. If he does get over excited they seem to be able to redirect him, even if it's after some time. The best part of taking him there is that he is happy when he leaves. He tries hard and is learning difficult things but is consistently happy when he leaves the center. Thanks to each tutor for allowing this to be a possibility and for setting Damian up to have a successful kindergarten year! read more

My sister has been giving me so much attitude when I try to teach her anything. When my mom and I found this place, I saw how friendly and lively the place was and immediately knew that it would be a great fit for her. Fast forward 7 months now and she gives me attitude for NOT taking her to tutoring club. Appreciate you guys so much for helping her out and would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. read more

College applications and the SAT coming back post COVID can be very stressful and I knew my son needed help. I have found the Tutoring Club after I received an outrageous bid from another tutoring center to help my son prep for the SAT. I was very discouraged but made some calls and found the tutoring club to be the most helpful and friendly. Their fees were very reasonable and my son went consistently to his sessions. He increased his SAT score by more than 200 points. I now have a daughter who is going to be an incoming Senior and she has been prepping for the SAT that she will be taking this fall. Just on the practice tests alone her scores have jumped over 300 points. I am very happy with the tutoring center and their consistent communications with me. Being able to have them study in person vs being in a online class has been the game changer in my mind. This has been a invaluable resource for my kids and their college applications. read more

We love tutoring club! Our son has been attending for over two years. He goes one to two times per week during the school year and a few times a week in the summer so he doesn't backslide. He was struggling with math when he first started attending and with Debbie and Jacob's help he has not only gotten caught up but he's actually moving ahead of grade level. We have tried other tutoring centers and have not had as much success as we have with Tutoring Club. Our older high school age students have also attend led a few times when they were struggling with certain assignments or projects. They are fantastic, and the program is completely customizable which we love. We would highly recommend. Debbie runs the center and is absolutely wonderful, she will take her time with you and your students to figure out exactly how to best help them. Thank you Tutoring Club! read more

We had looked around at other places, but nothing seemed reasonable. The Tutoring Club has been great, they have provided all the services my three kids need. My husband and I discussed with Debbie exactly what we wanted for the kids, she created a plan and the kids are doing really good. We have a 10 year old going into 5th, 8 year old going into 3rd, and 5 year old going into Kindergarten. They started in early June and been coming all throughout the summer. I would like to start off by saying that Tutoring club is a very great way to acquire help for your student when they are having difficulties with a subject or numerous subjects. Not only does Tutoring Club provide excellent learning resources but they also have friendly tutors that make you feel comfortable with asking the most basic questions. From personal experience I was struggling in Algebra 2/trig and I was averaging a low C, I could hardly understand the material we were learning. I needed tutoring so my mother suggested I try it out and it was a great experience! My grades were improving as well as my understanding of the material while in school. I also had a few acquaintances that had also needed tutoring for different subjects, as well as SAT prep and ACT prep, they had also said that Tutoring Club had improved their scores immensely! read more

My son was struggling all year with geometry and needed to get his grade to a C in order to avoid summer school. With only 4 two hour sessions before his final, Alice was able to get my son prepared. More importantly, the si ent he struggled with all semester long, he was able to understand the concepts and got studying tips that he will be able to use. Our rising sophomore has been attending Tutoring Club of Tustin for past 10 months getting support on his math, biology and Spanish. He started off reluctant to attend at first, but he has progressed to enjoy working with his tutor and sees the benefit of additional academic support so he has shown more ownership of his learning. He decided on his own that he would like to continue his time at the Tutoring Club of Tustin during his sophomore year. The Tutoring Club of Tustin is well-organized, communicative and responsive in meeting his needs. They are so flexible, and we love that the Tutoring Club can offer multiple HS subject help to our son. We also like the fact that his tutor will follow each course progression with him. The director of the center, Debbie Hernandez, is a great listener of our son's academic needs. She communicates timely and is so responsive. Debbie leads a well-managed and welcoming place. The tutoring in language arts has brought out the detail in our daughter's writing that teachers have been working on for the past two school years. Despite a large vocabulary, our daughter struggled to add descriptive words to her writing and kept it very simple for her grade level. The tutors have encouraged her to be more elaborate in her writing and we are confident this will result in better writing this upcoming school year. From an administrative and scheduling perspective, Jef and Arthur are always so helpful and work with our crazy schedule, I couldn't ask for more from a team to support our goals. read more
