Patty Melt with Sweet Potato Fries
    Molly B.

The perfect spot for our bike crew to stop after a nice ride on the nearby Dakota Trail! The Patty Melt is my go-to entree here since getting hungry while biking the trail. The caraway bread is perfect with the two melted cheeses and burger. I always opt for the 1/3 pound burger since it's always enough for me (they also offer a 1/2 pound burger). Good beers on tap (today it was tap Schells Oktoberfest). Nice relaxed place that offers car/motorcycle parking, bicycle parking & horse post parking!

When I went to Ox Yoke Inn, the service was fantastic. We arrived a couple of minutes before closing and asked the waitress if it was okay for us to still dine in. She reassured us that it was totally fine, even though we had a pretty big table, which was quite considerate of her. The waitress was very accommodating, and it was a blessing to eat there. The food was also excellent; I had the chicken wings, and they were delicious. I'm very thankful for the cooks and the overall experience. It's a very nice place.

We were taken to the Ox Yoke Inn by friends who have been there often. The place is considered an institution by folks in the far Western reaches of the Metro, and it's easy to understand why: It's the only restaurant around for miles (or so it seems in the dark); it's unassuming, homey, and very welcoming. All of that more than make up for the so-so food we had: The clam chowder was as thick as glue, with nice chunks of clam, and the grilled walleye had very little flavor. The baked potato was generous. I would return to the Ox Yoke Inn if in the Maple Plain area, but I would not consider the place a destination.

    Right off the Luce Line

Local supper club along the Luce Line Trail makes it a 4 star stop. Maybe because I was starving from bicycle riding like 14 miles so far, but the food tasted great to me. This is not the fanciest of supper clubs, but it's proximity to the Luce Line a winner. Fresh taps of beers are limited in choices, but we were able to find a Castle Danger Cream Ale-the best thirst quencher on a long bike ride. My bestie had the Walleye Sandwich (which I only got a tiny sample since he gobbled it up so fast). I was more than happy with the 1/3 pound burger (they also offer 1/2 pounders), tons of mushrooms and not too much food for the long bike ride back. Bike racks on the side of the building. This spot will be on our next visit to the Luce Line: Good service & food.

I was raised in a nearby town. I've been fortunate to travel to many different places in this beautiful world. Because of that, I've had some great prime rib and Ox Yoke is definitely the tits! Get an extra side of their delicious and creamy horseradish sauce. It's absolutely the reason I have my plump and juicy man-tits. No regrets!

Frog legs, either a sample or you can order 6 as a full meal

We explained that we had called but didn't get an answer, and she told us that if we had kept calling, someone would have picked up. She also mentioned they were pretty busy and it would be difficult to fit us in, even though the tables were seemingly empty. They were able to seat us, and the rest of the experience was pleasant. The ambiance inside was a cozy-cabin feel and was decorated very nice for the holidays. Beyond the interaction with the hostess, our meal and our server were very pleasant.

The place is somewhat hard to explain - sort of a sports bar feel, and sort of a family restaurant, but however you classify it, they have really good food. Menu is good sized and there are plenty of options to satisfy most people in your party. There even appeared to be some Asian style dishes, which could explain the name. Our waitress was just awesome - and she had a dinner special menu as well. After looking at all the options, we ordered some apps (calamari) for the table and I went with a short rib special they had available. A glass of red and I was off to the races. Again, the available wines by the glass and bottle were somewhat unexpected when looking at the decor and well, the Ancient Peaks Cab hit the spot perfectly. The short ribs arrived and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised again as the presentation was spot-on and the food was done perfectly - it was excellent and I destroyed it. This place was so good, I ended going back the next night with different co-workers who also suggested it and and the same exact experience. Win-Win for Franco.
