This has proven to be extremely convenient when I leave my home and can't remember if I turned on the house alarm. I can just look at the app and it tells me. Tony and his son are an independent contractor for alarm companies in the local area. The backstory…read moreis that I've had problems with service technicians from my alarm company before - some of the challenges of entering into a contract. I finally reached a person from the alarm company who cared and listened. I told them that I did not want the service technician who had worked with us before to return. The alarm company reached out to Tony and he phoned me the same day to schedule. He was very polite, scheduled an appointment for the next day and called a half hour before he arrived, and got here on time. He and his son took the appropriate precautions against covid, listened to what we needed to have done, and went through our entire alarm system. They both worked on each problem one by one to resolve the issues. It was clear that they had a strong grasp of what they were doing. They took the time to explain everything to me and I am happy with the results. I don't imagine we'll have any more problems, but if I do I will call them again. Thank you Tony and Tony!

I put it off for months, but when I finally started researching replacement options, Alarm Grid's videos and information were everywhere--YouTube, forums, and Google searches. After learning that my old panel was discontinued, Alarm Grid's resources clearly explained how to upgrade to the Honeywell/Resideo PROA7PLUS ProSeries 7-inch touchscreen panel, along with adding the PROTAKEOVER module to maintain compatibility with my existing Honeywell 5800 Series wireless sensors. I ordered both the panel and module and received them in just five days with free shipping. Installation was straightforward thanks to Alarm Grid's step-by-step YouTube videos. I did initially have trouble configuring my window and door sensors, but after realizing they needed to be set to "Service 2" in the programming, all my 5816 sensors worked perfectly. I also decided to add monitoring with app-based arm/disarm for just $10 per month. Nicholas Fuller activated my system remotely and made the entire process seamless. Huge thanks to Alarm Grid and the entire team for their expertise, professionalism, and top-notch customer service. I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience!

I am a very technical person and have a decent amount of experience doing in-wall residential…read morewiring (for my last two homes I personally installed whole home ethernet to every room). Recently I decided to install nine IP security cameras to my home which required running nine separate ethernet drops to external locations of my house. Normally I would have done this work myself but due to the sheer scope of the work (including performing cabling at nearly thirty feet off the ground, and one particularly difficult cable run that was beyond my expertise) I decided to call in the professionals. I was not looking for some random handyman to come out and do it, I wanted a fully licensed and professional wiring company. Basically my expectations was that anyone I hired would do a far better job than I could do. I purchased all my own cameras and hardware and only wanted a company to do the physical wiring, mounting of the cameras and routing of the cables to my existing wiring closet. I put out a request for proposal, screened out the "handymen" that responded, and had a few in home visits. Miami Security Systems had a salesman come out to my house in a van in professional livery and he went over different options and we talked about expectations. A few days later he got back to me with their statement of work. MSS's proposal was not the cheapest I received, but was not too far off. However, the statement of work was very detailed and contained information on each cable run and it's associated cost. After I signed, two installers came to my house to perform the work. They were on time, courteous and were able to work very well without any micromanaging. Being a nine camera install with cable runs to all the different corners of a 3600 sq foot house it took these two installers two and a half days to complete the job. They worked very hard during the day with short breaks and very few interruptions to me (I was working from home). Each day they made sure that the locations they worked, even if not fully completed, was cleaned up and habitable before they left for the day. After all cameras were mounted and connected one of them stayed behind with me to ensure that each camera was working correctly and was aimed properly to cover the locations I wanted. I was also able to rely on their expertise in the placement and aiming of the cameras to make sure the cameras were being utilized as effectively as possible. I was very impressed with MSS and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wanted properly professionally installed wiring. They exceeded my expectations in installing the wiring far better than I ever could. They were also very eager to please and wanted to make sure I was fully satisfied with the job (I am).
