We had a small storage locker here for several years and they continue raising the rent each year…read moreto the point that it became ridiculous! They want $70 per month for a 3X3x4 locker! I found a slightly larger locker at Public Storage, just around the corner, for $15 per month. Granted that is an introductory rate, but even if they double it after the introductory period, we will be at $30, which is still less than half price! On top of that, they never answer their phones for existing customers. I had to call as a new customer to finally get ahold of them. Bad service bad pricing! I don't recommend them!

These are not trustworthy people and they will do anything g they can to scam you out of money. There are plenty of other storage places where you would be working with decent management and people who will not try to overcharge you. They have also told me I am no longer allowed to rent a unit online, as the accounts clearly offer with a large button that says "add a new unit" and has the prices listed for each unit. So they charge random fees because they want to and do a bait and switch for units they offer online. Not to mention the raising prices every 6-12 months.

Rebecca walked me through everything over the phone in a way that was clear, thorough, and never overwhelming. Ella was amazing in person--super friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel welcoming instead of transactional. You can tell they both really know what they're doing and actually care. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, climate-controlled (which I love), and feels very secure, which was a big priority for me. No weird storage-unit vibes. Super organized and well taken care of. I haven't moved in yet, but based on how smooth and thoughtful this whole experience has been so far, I feel really confident that move-in day will be just as seamless. BEWARE!!!! I've…read morenever seen a storage facility make it so obvious that they hate dealing with customers for extremely basic things. They lock their gates at 6PM. Most places are open until 9PM. If you work a 9-5 you will be coming before work and forget going into your unit after work because you won't be there in time to begin with. This means you can only access your unit on the weekend or if you change you work schedule. I'm not sure why this place made it where you only have access from 6AM-6PM when the hours should be something to at least 8 PM being that most people have day jobs... Need to throw out a box or recycle something? They don't give you access to a recycle bin or dumpster. Extra Space and US Storage does give you access. As your rates go up, they just tell you "we charge you rent based off current market value" (it's the same line they have been trained to say and about "operational costs" but no one can tell you what the costs include. Keep in mind you clearly aren't paying for normal gate hours, you aren't receiving access to dumpsters, and good luck ever finding an employee actually in the office because get this THEY DO NOT LIST OFFICE HOURS ON THEIR DOOR OR ON THEIR VOICEMAIL! I recently went to the office (2nd time in 1 day....). The first time was in the morning after 10 AM and no one was there (in my account it says someone is there after 9:30 AM....). On their door they list a phone number as 818-491-311, but no one answers (or returns your call....the voicemail doesn't tell you the office hours or that the business is in fact Public Storage LOL), however on my account their number is listed as 747-224-6380. The 747 number is a call center with foreign employees. You call the call center and they said someone is supposed to be there at 1PM except when I called (a few times) no response again. I finally did get a hold of someone (again no one answered the phone) by driving again to the facility. Apparently this location has no office hours. You have to make an appointment, however the employee that may be in the office when you are there does not make the appointment for you. Once again though, how do you make an appointment if no one answers the phone to start or if no one is even there? All I got from the employee who was there is that there is supposed to be someone there for a few hours a day but that sometimes it may be in the morning, but sometimes it may be in the afternoon. WHY NOT PUT UP A SIGN THAT SAYS THE SCHEDULE?!??!?! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! PS) They have rodents and roaches in the facility. PPS The responses you get on here aren't from the actual Chatsworth facility.
