OVO was amazing. I have been to many cirque shows and other similar shows so was very surprised at the new acts and ideas in this show. A truly unique experience and great band and singers as well. The crowd was in awe and the show was overall entertaining and exciting to watch.

First, and foremost, thank you Yelp for giving us the opportunity to attend this amazing show by Cirque du Soleil. When it comes to circuses, Cirque du Soleil just gets it right and that was especially the case with Ovo. It was just my 2nd Cirque show ever, and really my 1st true Cirque circus show since the only other one I had been to was Paramour, which was technically a Broadway show. Ovo, which means "Egg" in Portuguese, had been touring for many years around the globe and finally returned back to NYC. The show started off a bit "slow" for the first 5 minutes, but things picked up quickly and it was non-stop, heart-thumping action from then until the very end, which was about 2 hours and change. There were amazing contortionists, high-flying swinging on cables/ropes, human air tossing from one end to another, gymnastics, wire-balancing and, to keep the show light, comedy. The music was also rhythmically synced perfectly with the show too. Overall, we had an awesome experience at Barclays Center watching Ovo. Even though we sat pretty close, in row 14, there didn't seem to be any bad seat in the house. The upper sections were closed off so everyone sat close enough to the stage. Since a majority of the Cirque shows are in Vegas, they are a challenge to see in person, so it's really great to see a show like Ovo get around to those who can't make it all the way out to the desert.

Cirque du Soleil never disappoints! I am always blown away by their beautiful, imaginative sets. The talent and great physical strength of all the performers are just amazing! You can't help but be mesmerized while watching Cirque du Soleil shows, and OVO is no exception!Great family fun....especially for the kids! Big Thanks to Yelp for providing me the opportunity to see OVO!!

This is my first Cirque du Soleil show and it was amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect being it's insect themed and I dislike insects but it was beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better performance which kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were moments when I said no way is that possible but I was proven wrong again and again. There are many acts, one of my favorites was the couple performing on aerial silk hanging from above. The music and choreograph was so beautiful and sensual. OVO consists mostly of acrobats but they also manage to incorporate humor and involve the audience amidst all the crazy acts. Thanks Yelp for this wonderful experience!! Now my best friend, who I took to this event thinks she can speak insect language.

I'll give it a 5 out of 10. I've seen many other cirque shows and this was quite a boring one.

If we go back, we'd try to get here early as seats fill up quickly. There's plenty of room to stand but keep in mind it's a long show and there's an intermission in between. I would pace myself though because after all it's called a drinking game for a reason. If you're hungry, there's a spot in the main area where someone heats up frozen Table87 pizzas which isn't the best quality but when you've had a few beers and are starving, these pizzas are a godly.

I most recently saw them at Brooklyn Bazaar; the group tends to shuffle around shows between there, Union Hall, and Bell House. definitely a blast to experience. get on their mailing list or social media pages to find out their next shows.

But on normal weeknights, it's totally doable to walk in, grab a drink, and play without any stress. It's very laid-back in the best way. Downstairs, they host comedy shows and other performances, which makes it such a fun multipurpose hangout. People usually grab a drink and chill upstairs while waiting for their show to start, and it creates this really nice, social energy without feeling chaotic. Overall, Union Hall is a quaint neighborhood staple, great drinks, fun games, and a little bit of that old-school local charm. Perfect for a casual night out or something a little different from the usual bar scene.

The choreography was terrible because it seemed like the dances were made up on the spot except for one of the dancers who seemed to have a dancing background but not even that could save this show that was overly-priced. I wish I could ask for my $45 back but at last, this was a lesson to me to not go to anything that doesn't have any reviews because I have a feeling that they would have been all one-stars. The theater itself was very disorganized and had chairs set very closely to each other in what was the orchestra area. The stage itself looked like it belonged in a middle school and the balcony sets were too close to one another. The staff was nice and friendly but that was the only good thing about this whole experience.

Unfortunately, the show I went to see did not make me want to go back to the Roulette ever again. Went there with one of my besties to see a Vampire cabaret show that she found on fever. Loving vampire stuff I was eager to go and see an amazing show. Instead we paid $45 to see a show that looked like it was planned at the last minutes. There was barely a story line, the dancers were "meh" and Dracula.. Ill leave it at that. The venue wasn't the most organized but the staff was friendly/pleasant. The poor rating is mostly for the show, not the theater.

Connecting with other people and making new choices is good for the soul! You don't need to have any improv experience for a drop-in class or Level 1. You won't be the only one and you'll make new friends! Nothing cures a bad day or a bad mood like hanging out with like-minded individuals playing games and laughing til it hurts. Everyone involved with LOM is so welcoming and so unique. It's a beautiful community of artists and it's honestly changed my life. I can't say enough good things about them (truly!)!

Add it all together, and you've got a hell of a base for future improv experiences. Nolan and Scarlett are the main teachers, and they're amazing. Their weekly icebreaker exercises are always fun and low-pressure, and they make everyone feel welcome. Well, as long as you're an adult. There are some NSFW language and themes not meant for kids. Speaking of work, they also do corporate events. I've been trying to get my company to bring them in for some team building and presentation skills classes, but we'll see. I should also mention the space. Classes and events take place at the Gemini and Scorpio loft (aka G&S) in Gowanus, which is beautiful. Beautifully adorned, air conditioned, with a rooftop area. She didn't come with me, she merely put the session within reach and nudged me along my way. I'm so glad she did because it was such a unique enjoyable experience! For a cool $60 puppet (and a whole bunch of Muppet) enthusiasts get together for an afternoon of learning how to sculpt a puppet from foam. This idea may sound simple enough, but it includes sturdy foam blocks, knives of various sizes, scissors, sand paper, permanent markers, pastels, and some creativity on behalf of each participant. Come with an idea (a photo or sketch) in mind and Kevin (the master artist and creative director) expertly guides you through the rest. The session is slated for 3.5 hours, but time flies when you're having fun! In fact, I would have preferred another hour with time to decorate my creation - being able to add fur, hair, etc. would have been a bonus. However, I'm confident I can spruce up my Jersey girl puppet BrookeLynne with an old Snookie Halloween wig and some false eyelashes. I'm strongly considering going to another session and being a little more creative with what I sculpt. The animals all turned out fantastically! Go. Register for a workshop now.

I asked to have my payment put towards a future class over the phone. The person I spoke with did not seem to get what I was saying and ended the call. I emailed Lone Wolf instead and explained that I'd like to re-schedule. After a day I received a reply stating that I would not be able to re-schedule and that they had a no re-fund policy. I stated that I didn't want a refund, I just wanted the services I already paid for and wanted to schedule a future class. I was told that Lone Wolf had tried re-scheduling in the past and that it was a "Problem" for them, I was offered a discount of $15 on a future class. I asked how they can remember me and give me a discount but they couldn't remember that I'd already paid? It ended with me not getting a class scheduled and being out $65. Nowhere on their website does it state that you cannot re-schedule a class. Only that you can't get a refund. Big difference. In their defense, I canceled late so they could not fill the spot I left. In my defense, I booked that spot late the day before, so that spot wasn't getting filled anyway and they still had my money if I went or not. So buyer beware: If you have an emergency and can't make this class you can kiss your money goodbye.
