Karen is really welcoming and friendly, which certainly contributes to a pleasant experience. She also takes care with her services, prepping you before and after, and in speaking with her, I can tell she is very knowledgeable about her industry, which assures me that I'm in good hands (though the positive results are of course telling). She also offers other services, such as microdermabrasion and others that justify the business name, but I have not received those. The prices for the hair removal services I receive are a bit expensive, but one of the reasons I initially sought out SCS is because the prices are generally competitive for the area (i.e., DC's more expensive, but more rural businesses may be cheaper). Skin Care Solutions is located in the same building as Jon David's Salon, and the front desk is operated by the salon. The front area is of course salon-y and has that haute couture ambiance, but I survive just fine wearing a t-shirt and jeans for my appointments. The people at the front desk are generally friendly and treat me as a valued client. Ultimately, I would definitely recommend Skin Care Solutions' hair removal services; I've had mostly satisfactory results with competitive prices, which I feel make for good value.

I chose not to complete the form and was told that without it, I could not check in. I understood and decided to leave. As I was walking out, I was told that if I canceled my appointment, I would be charged a $35 cancellation fee. I never authorized a credit card to be kept on file, so I was shocked to later discover that my husband's credit card had somehow been charged. My concerns are: 1. How did the office obtain my husband's credit card information and charge it without my authorization? 2. If completing this medical form is now a mandatory requirement, why wasn't I informed of that when I made the appointment over the phone? I spoke with the same employee who later attempted to check me in. Had I been told about this new policy beforehand, I would have canceled the appointment before making the trip and avoided both the inconvenience and the $35 fee. I've been a loyal client for around two years, and this experience was incredibly disappointing. The lack of communication, combined with charging a credit card that I never authorized to be on file, is unacceptable. This is not how long-time clients should be treated.

We eliminated things that were bad for me. She advised me to drink more water, which I haven't been doing. My face looks so much better after only one session. I made the appointment for my next facial right away! Thank you Natalia!

He was incredibly thorough, immediately understood what bothered me, and explained in great detail how he'd approach each concern. When I finally met him in person on September 12th, I was almost two hours late thanks to D.C. traffic and baggage claim chaos. I was mortified but his staff couldn't have been more kind or accommodating. They never made me feel rushed or dismissed, which completely calmed my nerves. And side note: his office is stunning, right in the heart of D.C., modern, and immaculate. During the in-person consult, Dr. Rad recorded a video walkthrough of everything we planned to do, including my comments and concerns. We decided to break my surgery into two phases because of my work schedule. I didn't want to be excessively swollen. Phase One Procedures: * Canthoplasty * Fat grafting to temples, forehead, under-eyes, and lips * Bullhorn lip lift I had way too much old filler in my lips, and Dr. Sherber (who works with Dr. Rad & married to him) kindly stayed after hours to dissolve it before surgery. She was so sweet, and I'm honestly grateful! By the weekend, I couldn't believe how overfilled my lips had been before. Surgery Day: Monday morning came fast. The surgery took place at a trauma hospital, so while it was a bit hectic, everything went smoothly. I woke up about 6.5 hours later, and Dr. Rad checked in to tell me everything went beautifully. His post-op nurse, Donna, was an absolute lifesaver. She stayed with me for 48 hours after surgery and took incredible care of me. Especially during the first 12 hours when I couldn't stop throwing up (I'm super sensitive to anesthesia). She never left my side until I stabilized. By Wednesday, Dr. Rad removed my drains, and on Friday, my lip lift stitches came out. My husband and I even went sightseeing with no issues (weather was perfect)I flew home that Sunday and recovery has been smooth sailing ever since. Any time I've had a question day or night his office has been lightning-fast to respond. Coming from the West Coast, I've seen my share of top Beverly Hills surgeons (even had a rhinoplasty with one of em that's a story for another time), but Dr. Rad stands out above them all. He genuinely cares about your well-being, results, and experience from start to finish. This isn't a paid review, I just believe that when someone goes above and beyond, they deserve to be recognized. If you're on the fence or considering him, this is your sign: 10/10, would do it again in a heartbeat.
