Bison short ribs with Brussels sprouts and squash
David F.

A group of us ate there and we were very pleased. Located in a hotel, the hotel lobby and fireplace are very inviting. Nicely styled. We started with some great cocktails before dinner and enjoyed the Buffalo cauliflower. YUM! The bison short ribs were excellent with squash and Brussels sprouts. The service was excellent from Nico and we finished off with a shared Monster cookie with ice cream baked in a cast iron pan. There is construction in front of the hotel but don't let that stop you from enjoying a great restaurant and bar in this part of PC/Hideout.

Overlook Restaurant has been a reliable dinning option for us for years now. The hostess was very sweet and always incredibly welcoming. The beignets were good but not as good as usual. They no longer have the French onion soup on the menu. I'm hoping it will come back on the menu. The cheese curds were more of a tempura or pakora texture/batter on the cheese. The margarita pizza & BBQ chicken pizza were perfect. I'm hoping they will bring back other dishes they previously had on the menu.

We gave this place a 4th shot and were pleasantly surprised again. I'm giving 4 stars as it is very loud and the "Overlook" view is pretty much parking lot and the adjacent residential area with a distance view of Deer Valley Bald Mountain. To start I had my usual favorite manhattan drink. $10 yes! Only $10! Still the 1.5 Oz pour but the price is a steal if you know Park City area prices. My wife had the 8 Oz pour Krug Merlot $23. For dinner I ordered the open face ribeye steak sandwich called Steak Frites. It came smothered with peppers and onions and a load of fries. It was very good, tender but kinda overly smoky tasting but still very good. $29 My wife had the 9" Hawaiian Pizza. $16. Definitely cheap enough and looked good. I've had pizza here so I'm going to say the pizza is just pizza. You won't write home about it. The atmosphere is LOUD! Not quite a romantic type place but more resort hotel. It's visually awesome inside. New and mountain modern with lots of exterior glass. A nice big gas fireplace in the lobby. There was also a solo guitarist on the first floor bar area. I recommend the bar for apps and drinks. I took a bunch of photos. I going to say yes, they are worth a visit.

Burger (no bun) and subbed a side salad which had way too much dressing on it.

Super sad that a lot of things we once loved have been taken off the menu due to a new chef. No more Buffalo cauliflower, no more brussel sprouts, and the truffle aioli that was so good to dip fries in is also no more. I ordered the burger and once upon a time it was so delicious, but now it tastes like a five guys burger. We ordered the tempura courgette...it was ok, the edamame jalapeño sauce was lacking heat and flavor. I'm honestly not sure we will be back.

We were in Park city for a conference and stayed at the double tree which is approx 5 min walk from this restaurant. We came around 10 am and were promptly seated! Wonderful cool earthy yet modern look and atmosphere. The drink menu was very diverse and there should be something for everyone ! I went for the green juice and loved it ! The breakfast options were unique and some middle eastern flare to it ! I went with the Turkish eggs and my friend had the shahshouka and we devoured our meals thanks to the warm fresh bread ! Def coming back to try some other things such as their waffles or try their lunch menu !

The view is pretty, the staff is above grade. The place was clean and I was told that almost 90% of the menu is homemade on site which is very impressive. I hade the ribeye and potatoes and my wife has the tortalini. We both enjoyed our meals, and so did our kids. The kids Mac n chz though is not the stereotypical boxes Kraft, I tasted it and it was much better, but just any FYI, it was not a tube/elbow if that is what your kiddos require. Then had the skillet cookie dessert and I was very tasty too and not over sweet. I will certainly return

Summer salad. Buratta cheese sprinkled with honey. Yum!

I am so glad Chef Ernesto is back! 8 0z. Filet mignon with Demi-glaced Malbec sauce. I wa embarrassed when they took my plate back as it was literally licked off down to the last drop. Meat medium rare and and yummy! Hubby enjoyed his Duroc pork chop with yummy squash puree and sauces J cannot remember but definitely yummy! This was the menu we used to enjoy!

The food was pretty good (not great) and so was the service. They could stand to turn the lights down a bit for a better ambiance. But who thought it was a good idea to build a huge additional building completely blocking the 'view' of the Jordanelle? Bad planning as that was half of the appeal.

This location is phenomenal. Love the view from their restaurant. The place is so clean and inviting. The server Nicolas was great. The food was really good. The steak was perfect. I will be returning.

We were staying near the Blackrock resort, and decided to try the Overlook restaurant. We came for an early lunch. We were seated in a banquet with a lovely mountain view. Our server was a polite young gentleman. We split a house salad, which was tasty, nothing spectacular... field greens, chopped carrots and cucumbers, the blue cheese dressing was nice. We both ordered an Overlook Burger, medium well with fries. This was beautifully plated. See the picture.... Came with a big pickle slice too!! Love that!! Now the bad news..... my " medium well" burger was pink and raw in the middle. Not one to complain or send food back, I ate what I could. The fries were nice and crisp... loved them!!! Our total bill came to 67.00 for lunch. 2 burgers, 2 iced teas, and 1 salad. It seemed really expensive for lunch. I hate to say, but I probably won't return.

The black burger is delicious and distinctive. It's an upscale place with fun bar staff and sometimes has live music. Beautiful view and table top service available also.

I can't speak for lunch or dinner, but they had the best breakfast & selections! Everything was SO GOOD we were always finishing our breakfast despite being so full! I highly recommend all their egg dishes, their drinks, but man oh man... the Huevos rancheros is where the money is at. It's filled with bacon, sour cream, guac, chorizo, cilantro, brown rice, & so many other micro ingredients I was incredibly impressed! I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast spot. Plus the view was nice!!! They are currently under construction outside so you lose a bit of the magic from the view, but I love it here

The service is…read moreoutstanding and, yes, it's a hamburger, but it is a hamburger that looks and tastes like it was made by a chef trying to make you the absolute best hamburger you've ever had. I hate to reference the movie the Menu, but I couldn't help but think that it might be a little like if you got to eat the hamburger at the end. Where a chef, top of their game, made the a hamburger simply because they loved making hamburgers. To be fair there are other things on the menu but they are a similar level of quality. Also the specialized shakes are pretty great as well. On this occasion I had a Nutella shake and don't think I'll be having another shake for several months, both because it was that satisfying and because, well it was enough. On top of all this the Montage in general is always great. I had my birthday dinner at Burgers and Bourbon and think I might do it there again next year. Great property, great food, great service. 5 star review, easy.

Walking to our table the first thing I noticed was that the carpet was filthy. It had a layer of food on it that showed the cleanliness just not in the cards for this establishment. We asked to be moved to another table, as there was an open table with a long bench for seating. However we could be be accommodated as a teenager at the table next door had decided to appropriate the bench for a nap and the hostess was not going to deal with an entitled young brat and his parents. Service was mediocre at best so not much else to say. I am guessing that they were understaffed but at the prices they charge it is not my problem as the guest. The men folk had the B&B burger with truffle fries. The burger was good, cooked to order and the fries were spot on. Our wives split a "Yama" which is listed as "seared big eye tuna / sesame crust / spicy aïoli / avocado mousse / slaw." The fish was mealy and the avocado mousse was really guacamole. The upshot of eating the fish is that both of our wives had an upset stomach in the middle of the night. As we live in Old Town I learned a good lesson. There are great burgers to be had on Main Street at a better price with good service and clean floors. We will stick with our go-to's The Spur and No Name.

The outdoor patio was busy so we ended up just getting a table inside. The ambiance is laid back and rustic, cool decorations all over. Our server was nice and made us feel welcome. We got the pretzel to start with - honestly really good. i don't usually write home about a pretzel, but it was so doughy and the sauces were delicious. I got the spicy avocado burger with their homemade chips. All delish. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

This wasn't a great experience for me…read more The first thing that struck me was the ID check at the door. I pulled up my Colorado digital ID, and the employee seemed completely thrown by it and insisted on seeing my physical license. I understand businesses have policies, but the interaction felt unnecessarily awkward. I'm in my mid-40s, don't even drink alcohol, and still felt like I was being treated as if I were trying to sneak into a bar. It just set an odd tone from the start. I didn't choose the restaurant, but as someone with celiac disease, this was an even bigger issue. I let the staff know up front that I have celiac disease and need to avoid gluten. I ordered a bunless burger and skipped the fries since they don't have a dedicated fryer. I ordered a side salad instead, only to find out almost all of the dressings contained gluten, so I went with the vinaigrette. The burger itself was overcooked and honestly pretty underwhelming. The worst part came at the end of my meal. I took a bite of my salad and felt a crunch. There was a crouton mixed in. I had to spit it into my napkin in front of my coworkers, but by then I'd already chewed it and had crumbs throughout my mouth. For someone with celiac disease, this isn't just an inconvenience. If I'd never mentioned it, that would be one thing. But after telling the staff up front, there should never have been a crouton on that salad. That's beyond normal cross contamination. It was simply careless, and unfortunately it overshadowed the entire experience.

A woman came out to take our order while licking her fingers, which was not a great first impression. Communication was also extremely difficult, as neither of the two employees working appeared to speak enough English to understand basic questions or concerns. When our food arrived, both meals had the wrong side orders. We had ordered sweet potato fries but received regular fries instead. The biggest issue was my brisket sandwich. It contained very little actual meat and was mostly fat. The brisket was tough and difficult to eat, and the orange cheese on top wasn't even fully melted. The employee watched as I picked large pieces of fat out of the sandwich, yet when I brought it back and explained that the meat was mostly fat, tough, and simply unacceptable, she just smiled blankly and appeared unable to understand what I was saying. The second employee was unable to help as well. In the end, we spent $42 and essentially ate a handful of fries. The food quality, incorrect order, lack of communication, and inability to address a customer complaint made for a very poor dining experience. Wasatch Bagel has been added to our personal "do not return" restaurant list.
