We searched Google for an auto repair shop in Lampasas and randomly picked L&H Automotive. I was so glad we chose that shop. We called and told them that we were waiting for our tow to show up and we'd be there as soon as we could. We arrived at 5:05 p.m. on a Friday and I'm sure everyone was ready to go home and start the weekend. I can't tell you how impressed I was that three or four guys stayed and worked on our car for over two and a half hours. The repair, while temporary, allowed us to make our vacation rental and get back home to Benbrook TX. This was not the easy repair you would want to see after closing hours. Had they not done this we would have had to stay in Lampasas all weekend, lose our cabin rental which was non-refundable and a good part of Monday. The courtesy and respect they showed my wife and I is something that we will never forget. While no one likes it when their car breaks down, and especially knowing what is involved to getting the A/C compressor and related parts of the system back up and running. We considered ourselves very blessed to have come across this amazing group of guys. It's no wonder Jay was voted best mechanic of Lampasas county for 2021. I went up there to get it and was charged for brake parts (the engine was running bad why brake parts?). I fired up the truck, took my son to school and then took the truck back to them. 4 days later, because they already got paid they weren't in a hurry, I picked it up again.
