This spot feels like Cheers, I walked in and it seemed like everyone there just knew each other. My boyfriend raved about the wings and it was after 1am so we chose this over fast food (I'm glad we did)! The bartenders (male and female) are all attentive which was cool especially with them being packed (literally). We ordered and it didn't take much time to get our food. It's crazy the wings is what I came for but the burger stole the show. The wings were average at best, nothing really to remember. BUT the BURGER simply DELICIOUS!!! My first bite I looked at my boyfriend and said, "we should've got more burgers". I still remember the taste and I definitely will be back to get more! Sn: fries were good as well! read more

Oh, how I love Over Yonder! Love the vibe! It's a quirky little spot behind Moodright's on Abercorn. Western decor, big booths, barstools, occasionally live music and the best smash burgers and hand cut fries in Savannah! I'm a veggie burger girl and their veggie burger is perfect, especially with their cowboy sauce. Great selection of beers too! As it connects to Moodright's , it's easy to move about between both bars. If you order food, they give you a buzzer to let you know when it's ready for pickup. Ten pin bowling, pool tables, some outdoor tables, full bar, what's not to like? A few more parking places in the area would be great but it's never deterred us from enjoying this popular local spot! 10/10 for me! read more

This place is so simple and straightforward it's nearly perfect. A bar with burgers, music at a reasonable level, not a single TV for rowdy sports crowds. There are better burgers in Savannah, but these will fit a craving along with some mild ambience. Staff is friendly, place is clean. Word on the street is that this is the best burger around. It definitely is one of the better burgers I've had. The sauces and how it was cooked was perfect. My only caveat was that this is obviously a bar atmosphere, so don't expect a sit down restaurant style. You just order at the bar and get a buzzer once it's ready. Came at 12 am to have French fries , we were polite , but some guy name "Mike" did not late us in as he said it was full capacity , even thought behind us he let two guys to go inside . Rude! Five stars for a super fun atmosphere, fantastic service, strong drinks, and delicious food. I tried the tenders, the double stack burger, the fries, and I got a side of the ranch. Everything was cooked perfectly and was super flavorful. You can tell they make it all in-house, and I was so impressed with the quality and flavor. The bartenders are excellent. It was super busy, but there was never a long wait to place an order. I love this place. My only regret is that I couldn't order more food because I was too full, but I want to go back to try the taco and chili hotdog. Prices are reasonable and I had such an awesome time. read more

A Savannah secret.... Shhhhhhhh.... Shockingly good food served up in a converted garage behind the Moodright's pool hall/bar/mini bowling pin alley. Another haunt of locals only - hence the shhhhhhhh .... Occasionally they have music, monthly line dancing, but fab food- best fries- if not best a close second- burgers and even fare for the vegetarian- and chicken! Go for the food, enjoy a cheap beer or cocktail and be in on the secret! Good luck finding it! read more

I am an out of towner here for business! So as I sit in Lone Wolf Bar, I start up a conversation w a local. He tells me if I want the best good ol' burger to try Over Yonder which is across the parking lot. My group of 5 head over yonder to Over Yonder to get a burger before heading to the historic district for drinks. This place did not disappoint! We walk across the back dirt lot and see people outside sitting in the back of their trucks. People sitting in the outside patio. The roll up door was up and people all over inside having drinks and burgers. I see my new friend who was having a burger also. We all order the double cheese w fries. Our burgers were ready quickly and we had a Lone Star w our burgers! The burger was no frills, but a DAMN GOOD burger! Well seasoned w fresh fixins and a house special sauce. All 5 of us agreed it was a great tasting burger!! The fries were thicker cut w the skins. Again well seasoned!!! A very low key casual friendly "Dive/Local Bar" vibe! In the words of Toby Keith, "I love this bar"! I love their food, the casual atmosphere, the "Urban Cowboy" feel and their craft cocktails. Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and country crooners provide the background music. The laid back vibe hits the spot after a long work week, or for that matter, any night! It's hard to find as it's located behind Moodrights, they don't have signage, and their entrance and private parking is down the gravel alley and in back. Look for the small patio entrance with a Longhorn Steer on the roof above. Bring your pup when hanging out at their outdoor patio. I've never been disappointed with a meal at Over Yonder, and their double patty burgers are juicy and fantastic! Tonight I tried the Chicken Sandwich complete with sweet chili mayo, jalapeño slaw, onions on a brioche bun and served with a dill pickle spear. Messy deliciousness! The basket of hand cut fries were perfect for sharing. The condiments of bacon aioli and cowboy ranch were creative partners! Hubs always enjoys the General Tso with fried chicken ($2 upcharge) in lieu of tofu. Sometimes it's served in a box, other times in a bowl, but always with rice, mushrooms, bell pepper, red onions, broccoli, tso sauce and micro greens. This fresh, colorful entree hits the spot. Beer, wine and cocktails? Yes, they serve it all. Their house drinks are $8, beer $3-$6 and wine $10. Happy hour 4-6, Monday through Friday! Cheers! read more

Quirky little place, but very nice people and as nice as the people are the cheeseburger and chicken sandwiches are even better. One of my new favorite places in Savannah. Just a down-home, laidback, honkytonk-type bar in the Starland District, with friendly staff and cheap beer. My wife and I dropped by yesterday (Saturday) afternoon to see and listen to the "surf western" duo/band Andrea & Mud. We grabbed a couple of seats up front and then I walked up to the bar and ordered a Mad Dawg Margarita (mezcal, poblano liqueur, agave syrup, lime juice, and verde hot sauce) ($10) for my wife, and a bottle of Shiner Bock ($4) for me. And that wasn't even the least expensive beer. Over Yonder sells Lone Star, Miller Lite, Coors, and Tecate for only $3!. It's amazing to me that you can go to a fun bar in a cool district, listen to live music without a cover charge, and pay just $3 for a beer. And although we didn't order any food ourselves, looking around at the other tables, I could see that the food looked good, and judging from how others were eating it, it must have tasted pretty good as well! This is a great bar yes, but the reason I keep coming back is the food! The fries are the best in Savannah (fight me if you don't agree). They serve them with bacon mayo and spicy ranch.
