    Burger & fries

I finally had the chance to check out OverUnder Saturday night during the Downtown Miami art walk. I'd heard about them from that famous pizza blogger, and was expecting a slice but instead enjoyed their delicious & famous - titled as such on the menu - cheeseburger! Of course, I went picky and asked for no pickles and onions, but the beef patty & melted cheese were flavor perfection. The platter came with fries that had a little bit of a kick, proverbial music to my tastebuds. As they are a bar, I also enjoyed a cocktail (or two). Knowing my alcohol preferences, of course I went for something with rum specifically the "Couch Surfer". Served in a tall glass with a lot of ice meant for easy sipping, as well as garnished with mint & a burnt orange, this cocktail blends coffee cask infused Santa Teresa rum & amaro wine. Oh you know how I'm a dessert connoisseur? Although technically it's a dive bar, Over Under does have a great food menu including their burnt orange meringue key lime pie I really enjoyed to close out. I'd certainly recommend stopping by! Side Note: I was told that the reason they no longer serve pizza in the restaurant is that they co-own the nearby Fratesi Pizza #addingtomylist

Nice dive bar ambiance with some solid eats. Sunday is $1 oyster day. Very fresh. The staff here is first rate--very friendly and professional. Loved the recommendations. There's more to the food menu than I imagined. I recommend taking it all in before ordering. I took plenty of pictures

I came in after the Corporate run in April, and it was packed. I was able to grab a seat at the bar with my friend. The bartenders were all great and honest. Right away they told us the kitchen was backed up and what to order if we wanted to eat quickly. They also told us once the kitchen freed up so that we could place our main order in. The frozen palomas are divine. Love the little plastic cups they're served in and the fat straws that change color make it that much more fun to drink it. The alcohol ratio to ingredients was also spot on, especially for a frozen drink which isn't always executed correctly. We ordered the fish dip as a starter and the roasted chicken I had as my entree was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and came on a red bell pepper sauce that was some how sweet with a little kick at the same time, it really complimented it well. It was served with broccolini and honestly I would order more of just the broccolini because it was that good. Despite the bar being packed that day, all the bartenders were quick and courteous. Overall, this bar gives dive bar vibes with high quality drinks and food.

A very very good burger indeed!

My friends went in last night after the Marlins game for food since we were so hungry and my friend is always raving about their burger. Well, I totally understand now. It was spectacular! One of the best I have had in Miami! Tastes homemade, but in the most spectacular way! We sat at the bar and our bartenders were very nice and helpful. Over Under is a chill place with a fun vibe and was honestly impressed with their food menu items. I cannot wait to go back and have another burger and to also try out some more stuff!

We came to Over Under for happy before a concert at Bayfront Park and had a really great time. All of their Well liquors, beers, wines, and frozen drinks are two for one until 7. They also had some deals on food. A friend & I split the spicy chicken sandwich and the world famous cheeseburger with hand-cut fries, both were excellent. Surprisingly we both preferred the spicy chicken sandwich over the cheeseburger, but we'd highly recommend either one. Our bartender, Ashley, was engaging, fun, and attentive--we can't wait to go back soon!

Quintessential local dive bar vibes with mighty tasty eats and intentionally crafted cocktails in a plastic cup I love coming to Over Under. Don't sleep on their HH which is available on weekends too and Sunday $1 oysters are a monthly staple in our household. Casual and friendly this is a come as you are chill spot that knows how to do it right and does not skimp on flavor.

Stopped in here with my mom and daughter on Friday because they had a happy hour until 7 which was pretty cool. They had 2-4- 2 beers which are really just double the menu price. Really loud cause it's exposed to outside but a very chill vibe. We ordered La Rubi's to drink, burgers and the catfish po boy. My daughter is a fish lover but hated this po boy. I think the waitress should've verified we wanted everything mint because my daughter is 7. The sauce on it was spicy and the bread was so hard. She tried but couldn't stomach it so we sent jt back and asked rot the burger. My mom ate her po boy but she said she should've ordered the burger. Wait staff was nice and helpful; gratuity was included so our bill was a lot both that's expected for being so close to brickell.

The vibes of this place is unmatched. Very cool place with nice music and friendly staff. The burger and chicken sandwich was delicious! I wasn't a big fan of the fish dip but the pie will definitely have me returning for more!!

The food and drinks at Over Under are incredible! The cocktails are elevated, creative and fun. The food is delicious as well - highly recommend the cheeseburger, one of the best I've had in Miami. The vibe is fun and eclectic, with retro decor and neon lights. The music is also always very good. Definitely recommend whenever you are in Downtown!

Looking for a lazy afternoon people watching spot? Look no further! Over Under is your spot! They have $1 oysters on Sundays which are such a steal! If you're lucky enough to come by during happy hour, you can get a BOGO deal on your oyster special! They have other food options like smoked fish dip and cheeseburgers of oysters aren't your thing. Make sure to check their social media to see what specials and events they might have! Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are but over all it's pretty good!

Not just a cocktail bar -- this is truly one of the best spots in Miami for dinner. The food is outstanding: executed perfectly, full of flavor, and clearly backed by thoughtful, innovative ideas. Every dish feels like culinary artwork, yet the space still has that laid-back, affordable dive-bar vibe that makes you want to come back daily. The burger? Easily one of the best in Miami. The fish sandwich? Same story. The catfish po' boy is something to write home about -- seriously, order it if you haven't already. Oyster Sundays are a must-do, and honestly, everything on the menu hits. It's more than just a cocktail bar, but if you're coming only for a drink, you'll still find some of the best cocktails in the city.

We stopped by Over Under twice during our Miami visit and loved the ambiance as well as the drinks. Both times I enjoyed a muscle relaxer slushy, which I believe is part of a buy-one-get-one deal for their happy hour. They even had a movie playing on a projector screen! Seating is indoors and outdoors and we didn't try their food but had only heard good things.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.

Anywayssss, when I caught the winds that there was a new sound bar in downtown, I NEEDED to be there. The concept of the sound bar is some type of Asian thing, I don't really know. But where in Asia there might be a few monks sitting around in silence listening to gongs or whatever, Miami goes BIG! Finding parking in downtown Miami on a Saturday is virtually impossible unless you bribe a valet servant with cash. So that's what I did. My ladyfriend and I arrived early to the sound bar, and there was already a hearty swarm of brodents and thots lined up to get in. Some crack head outside was shouting about IPA's. I told the door servant that I knew the DJ or something like that, and he let us right in. Once inside, the bar has that edgy big city, small hallway type of vibe. You could barely stand around in there, let alone get to the bar to order a drink. The mix of flapping gums and mixologists concocting cocktails made for a cacophonous distraction from the actual "music" we were there to "listen" to. My ladyfriend and I ducked out across the street to Black Market Miami Bar where the game was on and you could actually order a drink that didn't cost $50+. After a few libations, we headed back to Miami Sound Machine Bar (they need to put 'Miami' in every bar's name down here in case you forget where you are). There was a weird looking guy playing depressing vinyls with singing in different languages. I was more in the mood for something upbeat and groovy like salsa or merengue that I could dance to with my girls. Although I did hear the 12" Andrew Weatherall remix of Happy Mondays "Hallelujah" at some point, a staple at the Haçienda nightclub in Manchester - an institution that shook the music world and changed club culture forever. The head servant at the bar looked like Nirvana (yes, one man looking like a whole band). He was jaded and rude. I don't blame him! As the night wore on, the crowd got larger and more deplorable, and the room got smaller and smaller. I got stuck in an awkward conversation waiting to use the bathroom. I don't think sound bars are for me. Pros: The bar across the street had really fair drink prices, and the servants are polite and efficient. Cons: the ratchet yuppies that inhabit Miami's nightlife, always on the prowl to ruin a subculture with their tackiness.

Instead, I stumbled upon Koana Tiki Bar--a hidden little chamber of tropical enchantment tucked away from the ordinary world. As Miami's only tiki bar, Koana is surprisingly well themed. It is a smaller establishment, which explains why reservations are required, but the intimate setting only adds to the charm. Once inside, the outside world seems to disappear beneath warm lighting, exotic décor, and the unmistakable feeling that something mysterious is being prepared behind the bar. The food is available, but Koana truly shines through its drink menu. The team has clearly done its research and assembled some serious heavy hitters. My companions and I visit whenever we're in Miami, and we've sampled nearly every drink on the menu. I have yet to encounter a bad one. They are fairly priced for Miami, though their strength should not be underestimated. These are not casual refreshments--they are potent little potions disguised as tropical cocktails. The staff is always kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. They're happy to explain the drinks and guide you toward something that suits your taste, whether you seek something sweet, sour, smoky, fruity, or powerful enough to summon your ancestors. During my visit, I combined several ingredients from the menu into a highly experimental concoction. After one sip, my allergies vanished completely. After the second, I could smell colors. By the third, I was convinced the palm trees were speaking to me in ancient tongues. I have no idea what was in that drink, but my sinuses were clear, my spirit was elevated, and I briefly achieved enlightenment beneath a decorative tiki mask. Reservations are essential, the drinks are strong, and the bar is small--but Koana is absolutely worth seeking out.
