My husband and I were enjoying the waterfront district during our anniversary trip and wanted an afternoon pick-me-up. We had just eaten at Dough Zone earlier and didn't want anything too heavy. Ovation caught my eye as I was browsing Yelp for drink options. I was particularly intrigued by the Moroccan twists on all of their drinks! I decided to go with a Moroccan Pistachio Latte and my husband went with the Casablanca Cooler energy drink. The staff were efficient and friendly, and our drinks were out in less than 5 min. There were people working remotely at the various tables, and I loved the layout of the coffee shop, with the high ceilings and black interior. It was pretty quiet and the AC was blasting. The spices in my latte were delicious and so fragrant. There was a perfect amount of ice in my drink, and I'm so glad we both got the 24 oz. I've never quite had coffee like this before! I had a sip of my husband's drink and it was very refreshing as well. We sat for a while enjoying our drinks, then took them with us to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront park. Ovation is the perfect place for a quick coffee stop, or a place to sit and do some work if needed. I would definitely return to try some other drinks next time we visit, and I really want to try their version of the London Fog!

    Decaf espresso was delightful.

I really thought I'd reviewed this place before. Their staff are so friendly! I like their Moroccan Spice drip coffee though find sometimes it tastes more spiced than others for some mysterious reason I'm sure involving how I take it. Their breakfast biscuits are an awesome deal and oh so tasty. Haven't had a bad thing here and always enjoy coming back!

There was ample seating inside and there was street parking. Seemed like a nice place to come, have a cup of coffee and read or do work. It was interesting that there was no background music playing in this cafe. I ordered the Moroccan Giraffe which is a honey latte. The coffee was smooth, not overly sweet and just plain delicious. They filled the cup up to the brim which made me nervous to walk it to my table without spilling. However, due to the foam we were good. No spills.

Lovely coffee shop with a wide variety of food options (pastries, breakfast biscuit sandwiches, and paninis), Moroccan coffee, and other fun drinks (including affogatos and soft serve shakes. The staff is incredibly sweet and the drinks are great! Go early (like before noon) for any hopes of catching a specialty croissant because they are SO good and they do sell out!

This will definitely be my go-to coffee shop in the South Waterfront region! I love how they have a Moroccan twist to their coffee with an infusion of various spices. I got the Moroccan cappuccino and it was definitely a flavor explosion. They have a breakfast/lunch menu too if you're hungry and I got the Turkey white cheddar panini - the portion size was pretty big and filling so I was even able to save some for later. It was also yummy - perfectly crisped bread and melted cheese! Prices for both coffee and food are very reasonable. The inside is spacious, clean, with lots of natural light. The outdoor patio has plenty of seating too. The baristas I interacted with are very sweet and I can't wait to come back!

Their drinks are great. Service is well provided, and all staff are friendly. Great location, next to my apartment and my workplace. Clean, welcoming space. Located on the south waterfront.

Still coming here all the time. My old review remains true...but there are some new things to add. I've been encouraged to eat gluten free again. I thought that the only thing around here were sweets. So, I was happy to learn that they have GF breakfast sandwiches here! And they are really good. Even the "biscuit" is good. Just come before 2p. Also, it seems that they've added various ice cream based items to their menu. They also have some nitro brew drinks to

I went to Ovation everyday for the last 2 weeks of my stay in Portland. It was my first meal and beverage everyday, and I got quite attached! First, the staff is absolutely amazing. They're warm, wonderful people, and part of the reason I looked forward to starting my day here. I also discovered their pistachio latte (I think that's what it was..... I just let them choose for me, and they said this was very popular), which became my daily staple, along with my daily dose of either the turkey sausage biscuit, or one of the chicken or turkey toasted panini sandwiches. I've since returned home to New England, but I'll be back in the near future for more work, and I'll definitely be back here!

There's not a huge sign out front, just name on the door.

My friend and I stopped in after doing yoga in a nearby park. We needed sustenance. There's not a huge sign out front, but it's tucked in the corner of a big complex. The restaurant was pretty busy, lots of coffee orders and the bakery counter looked like lots of items were popular. They had cookies & scones & other delectables. I opted for the Moroccan Latte'. I've never had one or heard of it, and wanted to try something new. It was smooth, with a good spice flavor. It hit the spot. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches. They were a good size, not huge, but very filling. I want to say they make them in-house. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and relaxing with our coffees for quite awhile.

Spacious coffee shop near the south waterfront area, with plenty of seating and windows. I grabbed my coffee to-go, but this would be a good place to study/work. There's a park nearby, and the area is super walkable as well. I tried the Moroccan vanilla latte for $5.25, which is spiced with "moroccan spices", including cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, anise, sassafras, white pepper. Honestly, I couldn't individually identify each of those spices in my latte, but it definitely had the "fall" spice profile that you would associate with those flavors. It wasn't too sweet, and the milk was well textured. They do have other drink options such as tea, along with various drip coffees, nitro cold brews, and standard espresso drinks. There are also food/bakery items, but I didn't try any this time. Overall, it's a good coffee shop with a broad menu selection, and great ambiance. Solid coffee choice if you're in the area!

We got here at 12 on a Sunday and all the fruit croissants were sold out. The almond croissant was okay though. Got to get here early if you want the sweet stuff! The staff were helpful and friendly. Everyone thought their drinks were good and the side salad seemed large. Interesting springy chairs.

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

I have probably spent a couple thousand dollars on their business. Not being able to pour my cup of coffee in a to-go cup when leaving is ridiculous and not standard practice. I found this out the hard way when I had ordered a drip coffee for here and, when leaving, the women kinda snapped at me when I kindly asked for an 8oz to-go cup. I'm on their bi weekly coffee subscription. I'm located in Portland and my bag of beans was routed from Portland to Detroit, then San Francisco then back to my home in Portland on my last order. How odd. I tried reaching out to them to figure out what's going on and there is no way of contacting their business. Their website has no contact information and I called multiple times and no one would pick up the phone. I finally found a personal gmail account linked to their business somewhere on their google business profile but no one ever responded to me. I find it to be very odd that they're running an online business, you can't contact them, and they don't have anyone attending customer service. That's very bad practice. If it weren't for how good the coffee is, PushXPull would be dead last on my preferred coffee shop. I'll update my review once these issues are addressed.
