I've stayed at this hotel twice, back in 2008 and last week in March 2026. I can confidently say that the hotel still holds up. Although it is older and could use some updates (and some deep cleaning), I liked their condo style format and appreciate having a full kitchenette to help with budget friendly meals. My stay was with my family (2 adults and 2 kids) and we stayed in a 1 bedroom + pullout couch. It was enough space for all of us to enjoy. I've stayed in a 2 bedroom before and it's very nice as well. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. We were also lucky enough to get a west facing room where we were able to watch the Friday night fireworks. read more

Unit 55 is where I stayed. This hotel is very different than your typical one. It is a very small building, almost like apartments converted to hotels. The lobby is closed from approximately 11p-7a. However, it seems that they are nearby if you call them for some assistance outside those hours. I landed in Hawaii close to midnight but during those closed hours. They were very nice and called me to see if I was still coming. I told them that I just landed and would be there ASAP. The guy working at the front desk was very kind and waiting for me to show up. I give that man 10/10 stars! He was very friendly and I appreciated the call so I didn't get stranded outside for a little bit. On the other side of the lobby are two elevators and a door that leads to the parking lot. It is small and you have to pay but I didn't have a car with me. Also, there is a water station right next to the door which they keep covered during the night. It was very cold and very fresh. I appreciated that there! My room was very nice. It is very spacious. However, it was also very hot. It took my wife and I a little time to figure out how to cool down the room with the AC unit. There is no central air if it bothers you...I was okay but my wife hated that because she likes to be cold while she sleeps. It did not happen here until she slept on the futon under the unit! There is a full kitchen with supplies and a big fridge if you plan on cooking your meals... we did not cook anything. The bathroom was very nice. It has a sliding door which I dislike slightly. And all the doors/windows were frosted. So, someone in the bathroom during the night does shine up the whole place. The shower itself was amazing but unnecessarily huge. A group of 4 could easily shower together if that is what you are interested in. They do get half a star knocked down for hair all over the walls of the bathroom... one of my biggest icks. The bedroom was nice. However, there was no working light switch. I had to walk to the opposite wall to plug in a lamp. However, one of the walls has a window shade that we left completely open. The lack of easy access light in the room was another slight star ding. The location is amazing! There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel. And there are even two dessert places that I was aware of. I loved the shaved ice nearby. ABC store is right outside the door. The beach was only ~8-minute walk. And while there is no pool here, the pool is at the other main hotel location which was ~5 minutes away. read more

This review is for unit 34. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay here again if I visit. My metric for hotel review is: 1. Quiet, especially at night since I am light sleeper. I always bring ear plugs when I travel just incase I stay in a noisy room. For this trip, I did not have to use it. 2. Clean, goes without saying So as long as it satisfies the two requirements above, then I'm good. The room is well kept and clean. I didn't find dirty or nasty areas. The place did NOT smell either. I was afraid that since it is an old building, there might be some odor from bathroom but luckily there wasn't. Parking is not free. They charge $40 a day for parking fee. You've got a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and convenient stores right nearby in the heart of Waikiki. 4 star rating for unit 94, but hotel and staff, solid 5 stars!! We stayed at this hotel from August 9-17, 3023. The hotel is the perfect spot for shopping and dining. No pool but you can use the pool at Outrigger Reef which is a 5 minute walk. There's an ABC store next to the hotel, and Long's drug nearby (about a minute walk). No expensive resort fee (yes!!) but no daily cleaning either which is fine with me. The staff are awesome!! Shout out to Zach at the front desk, Rebecca, the manager, Marie, Eva and Eloy the cleaning staff for being so accommodating and nice. Reserve your parking ahead of time and keep in mind that parking is tight when reserving your car. They have laundry facility and laundry detergent we're supplied by the hotel. My review for unit 94. I don't recommend unit 94, a 1 bedroom condo, for 4 people as the pull out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress is thin and worn out so when you lay down, you can feel the metal frame and every movement will result in a loud, squeaking noise. The bed is not that great either but better than the sofa bed. The bedroom has no fan or AC so it gets pretty warm. You need to open the separating window to get the air from the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher and coffee maker. The lanai was spacious with 4 chairs and a table. Overall, it was a great stay. Manage your expectation and don't let little things ruin your vacay. read more

Booked a 2 bedroom for 5 day trip. Great location with An ABC Store underneath. Staff super friendly. Premises very clean. Room clean, kitchen well stocked with with cookeare and dinnerware. Two balconies and inside very spacious for a family. AC in unit. Everything worked great. Beds are really comfy and mattresses are clean (no bugs). We're charged over $300 extra cleaning fee when we checked out. We did not do any mess. I wish this fee is more transparent when we were booking it. It would definitely affect our decisions. Other than that, it is good for a longer term stay because of the spacious room and the kitchen. read more

Great location, full kitchen & friendly staff. If you're more into airbnb than hotels, then this is the perfect place for you. We love having a full kitchen so we can cook whenever we want. We liked the access to the pool facilities at The Reef a block away. We also like the laundry facilities as we do not want to do check in baggage at all! We got a one-bedroom suite for our family of four. We are not super tall or big people so it suited us well. Next time, we might book a two-bedroom so we have more privacy from our kids. The staff was fantastic! They always welcomed us with a smile and were super helpful. Our departure flight was cancelled by Westjet eight hours before departure. They helped to extend our stay immediately and gave us an excellent rate. We really appreciated that as we were worried about being "homeless" over Christmas while not knowing when we would be able to return home. On Friday nights, you can see the Hilton fireworks from your balcony. The higher floors have a full view. Great Japanese restaurant, Wasabe, across the street. Take out from steak restaurant at Pagoda is a must for breakfast and lunch. Do be aware of the cleaning and parking fees. Some updating could be done in the suite and the hotel. They were replacing the hallways carpets during our stay so I'm hopeful it's better now. Next trip back to Honolulu, we're definitely coming back to this Regency location. read more

Booked several rooms for my family vacation on Spring Break. The Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk is a all condo building with a Great location in the heart of Waikiki. Everything is within walking distance and there are some good restaurants right downstairs. We had a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom condo. The rooms are nicely appointed and the AC system works well. The kitchen, dinning room and living room gives you a lot of extra space. Both of the rooms bath rooms are the same and only comes with a walk in shower. There is a flat screen TV in each room but the remote would change the channels and volume on the TV's in the other rooms too. The Hotel it's self does not have a pool so you have access to use the pool, beach and towels at the Outrigger Reef Hotel a block down the street on Waikiki Beach. The Hard Rock Cafe is across the street and the Yard House is just through the parking lot. Shorebirds and the Ocean House is located in the Outrigger Reef Hotel. There are so many options for food, shopping and activities all around the Regency Beachwalk. Parking is a challenge if you have a larger car. There are limited number of spaces and the driveway and lot is very narrow. Most spaces are back in only. Parking is $20 per day. There is coffee and juice in the Lobby. The front desk service is excellent. The staff is friendly and take care of your needs quickly. The maintenance staff is the same way. The only knock was the Housekeeping staff. One of the rooms was located on the 4th floor in across the hall from the housekeeping storage room. Every morning at the crack of dawn the housekeeping staff of ladies would gather a speak very loudly like a flock of chickens. It was bad enough we changed rooms. Try not staying on the 4th fl. Overall the Outrigger Regency Beachwalk is a great location if your looking for some extra rooms in Waikiki. read more

Paid close to 400.00 just for a checkout cleaning fee and when getting into our room we found dirty underwear, socks, food ! I mean how can you relax on a vacation when having to clean and sanitize EVERYTHING IN A ROOM !!!! One of the worst Hotels/Condos or whatever they wish to be called I've ever been in. This is my favorite spot. Not only is it close to the beach,but central to all my interests in Honolulu. The cleaning fee is a bit steep but the convenience was a deal for my family. The parking is limited and cost a few dollars but the convenience makes it worth the added expense. The staff was great and attentive to us and the ABC store next door was a delight. My family and I booked the Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk vacation condo for our almost week long vacation in Oahu. We drove around looking for the entrance/parking lot and had to call the hotel to ask -- narrow parking entrance located right next to where you see Italian flags! The parking lot is fairly small but it was never fully occupied. Be prepared to pay $30/night for parking and $200 cleaning fee at the end of your stay. I was a little concerned walking out of the elevator to our condo because the building didn't look very well maintained but I was relieved once I saw our condo. Full kitchen, 2 bedroom suite with 1 shared bathroom, living room, TV in every room, dining table, and outdoor patio. 2 A/C units - one located in the living room and one in the bigger bedroom. There are movable panels between the smaller bedroom and the living room - you definitely need to open at least 1-2 panels at night because it gets STUFFY in the room. POG (pineapple, orange, guava) juice and coffee is complimentary most of the morning up until the late afternoon. The condo is located in the heart of Waikiki - 5 minute walk from the beach and close by to many restaurants and shops! No pool here but you can walk to the Outrigger Reef to use the pool/jaccuzi or take the towels there to take to the beach -- make sure you return them to the same area though. read more

This is a small, boutique, condo-style hotel with only 48 rooms. The location is set right off of Kalakaua Ave where your shops and eats are. Although close to the action, the street where the hotel resides is pretty quiet. Beach-wise, it's set a couple blocks away, accessible through its sister property, the Outrigger Reef on the Beach or by public access right next door to the Reef. The Outrigger Reef houses the famous Shorebird Restaurant as well as a Starbucks for your convenience. (The hotel will give you coupons for use over at the Reef.) The Regency is nestled amongst one of the many ubiquitous ABC stores, a Tonkatsu restaurant, a Soba house and an Italian restaurant. The units themselves are lovely and modern. The pictures on their website are an accurate representation. Parking is behind the hotel and is an extra cost. It's a bit tight for maneuvering but convenient. You may want to confirm parking availability when booking as there are limited spaces. The staff is friendly and full of smiles every time you pass by. What keeps it from being a full five stars? - The Tonkatsu restaurant and its fried pork aroma can really permeate into your room. - Oddly, there's no trash can in the bathroom---Just in the kitchen, under the sink. - It's set away from the beach with many buildings blocking potential ocean views. I don't believe it's necessary to reserve the higher priced, partial ocean view rooms. read more

It took me awhile to decide on which hotel to pick for our latest Hawaii trip and ultimately ended with this and it was PERFECT. PRICE: I booked the two bedroom partial ocean view, which is the best you can get and still only came out to $270/night (I saw it for $270 online, but it changed to $400 a few days later. I called in and the lady gave me their aloha rate) As anyone who is researching for hotels in Waikiki know, most places charge extra ($30-$70) for each person over 2 people in a room. But the 2 bedrooms at the Outrigger Regency allow up to 6 people for the same price, major plus. ROOM: It's basically a condo conversion with nice and new modern finishes. We were given the top floor (9th) unit facing the ocean. These condo units have their own huge balconies, kitchen and living room which makes the entire place feel like you're at home, not a small hotel room. 3 LCD tv's, A/C, cable tv, dvd player with a collection of some 2005+ dvd movies, utensils, cookware, huge fridge, one bathroom. AMENITIES: You basically get all the hotel services, but the only thing you lose out on is the fancy large community spaces such as the check in area, pool, etc. However, the Outrigger Reef is just a 2 minute walk towards the beach and you have access to all their facilities if you wish. LOCATION: It's walkable to all the major shopping and eats on Kalakaua Ave and plus newly developed Beach Walk and Lewers St is packed with restaurants and stores as well. ABC store next door and the beach is a 3 minute walk away. Just google map this place and you can see everything. PARKING: is behind the building. As you're driving down Beach Walk, make a left into the alley right past the Italian flags. $18 a day, cheaper than most hotels which charge $25-30. Very friendly staff and excellent cleaning ladies. Free juice in the lobby everyday, Mango/Pineapple/Guava flavor combo I think (I noticed this seemed to be a common flavor throughout places in Oahu) read more

The people at outrigger is rude they charge you $332 for departure cleaning fee and never came to clean or switch out towels we had to take our own trash out the tv don't work I called and they never came to fix them plus it was trash under the beds and couches when we arrived they will take advantage of you knowing you can't just turn around and leave coming from the states/over the waters they'll leave you with no other choice I was there with my kids and wife a total disaster but enjoyed Hawaii overall I'll never stay at this place again they need to be shut down ASAP complete scam read more

Noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The parking garage next door beeps every time a car passes, back up truck beeps, people yelling to communicate. Sleep with the windows closed and roast or wake up many times all night. The mini split smells like mold and you can see the spores inside. Microwave is so loud i had to use the stove to avoid waking up my niece. There are no amenities here. No pool, not even coffee in the lobby. Walking distance to everything is nice. ABC store downstairs was convenient. Disappointed the governor killed all the small businesses in Hawaii and policies discriminate against the unvaccinated when the vaccinated carry more covid than we do AND are just as likely to catch or carry. I guess its ok for the covid carrying vaccinated to spread the disease??? Not sure when we quit following the science but as such there is No need to come back to this state to support woke corporate America. I thought CA was bad! read more

I assumed that being associated with the Outrigger Reef that this condo would be on par with their standards. I was extremely disappointed, although rated a three plus star, I'd give a two at best. The pictures online are NOT an accurate depiction of our unit. Be prepared that this is in a very old and antiquated building in very busy downtown Waikiki. The entire building and unit needs an update. Everything felt very dingy and outdated. The elevators had a weird smell, the units have funky wall ac units that were either freezing or we roasted, there was no in between. We found hairs that were not ours on both the kitchen and bathroom counters, the carpets were extremely dirty and there was a periodic banging (my husband thought it was a pipe) that happened throughout the day and the night. Parking is severely limited and $35 per night. The positives are the size, having two bedrooms plus the pull out were helpful, the short walk to the Outrigger Reef to use their pool, and the easy walk to the beach. We stayed because we prepaid, and only needed to be here for three days, but never again! read more

Stayed for 3 nights in a 2-bedroom unit at the end of the building. Mid-$200s AAA rate, booked directly via hotel website. The Good --- * Location is fantastic. Right above 3 outstanding restaurants (Ginza Bairin for Tonkatsu, Matsugen for Soba, Arancino for Italian), next to convenience stores, right in central Waikiki. * 2-bedroom unit was plenty large for a family of 4. * Condominium format lends a very lived-in feel. * Great staff. Front desk & housekeeping were friendly and responsive. * Parking is a great deal, albeit first-come first-served. $20 self-park per night, come & go as you please, can start morning of Day 1 and end evening of Day 2 for that price. * Recently and tastefully renovated. * All of the rooms have the view of weekly fireworks, on Fridays 7:30pm. The Bad --- * Limited service, no daily housekeeping. * No onsite pool. The Ugly --- * Sloppy upkeep: We found dust bunnies galore behind headboards, various electronics (like WiFi router & alarm clock) unplugged, hair on bathroom floor (eww!), dried loogie-looking things on shower curtain (EWW!), stains on living room rug, burnt-out lightbulbs, dirty A/C filters and vents, mildewy shower grouts. The rooms just don't seem like they get cleaned often. * Lagging maintenance: Visible rust on shower drains, many many wall chips and scuff marks, many loose fixture screws, maladjusted A/C thermostats, loose shower controls, loose water pipes, etc etc. Though the renovation was recent, it feels like things are going to pot quickly. Other tips --- * Know how to pair WiFi devices via WPS. * Dollar/Thrifty on Kalakaua is a walking distance away, often has advance specials in $35/day range on website. Make it a 1-day rental to avoid parking charges at hotel. * As mentioned earlier, the 3 in-building restaurants are all fantastic. * Don't miss Henry's Place across the street, for fruits and homemade ice cream. read more

My Uncle was kind enough to book my fiance and my sister and brother in-law in this hotel for a week during December 2010 as a Christmas present. So, while I cannot comment on the price, I can comment on everything else. DECOR: Modern and sleek. Some Hawaiian art in the rooms. One fold-out couch in the living room plus another single-couch chair. The smallish table sits four and there are two lounge chairs on the patio. TECH: The living room and bedrooms both have flat screen TVs. There's an ethernet cable located next to the living room TV. KITCHEN: Fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The fridge, microwave, stove, and dishwasher are all new. My only gripe was that the pans are all stainless steel, so cooking eggs or pancakes is kind of a nightmare. LOCATION: You're right next to a bunch of great bars/lounges - RumFire, Halekulani, and Yard House. Not to mention Roy's (a favorite of mine!). It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach and exploring it at night is fun. If you pay extra, you can get a parking spot in the back of the hotel. It's a bit small and you have to back into the space, but otherwise you can't beat the location. LOBBY: Two elevators can take you up to your flat. It was pretty annoying that during our visit, the second elevator was broken for the entire trip. They had no urgency in fixing it and I remember waiting up to 5 minutes on several occasions to catch the elevator to go up or down. There are stairs but they're locked so the front desk attendent would have to open the door for you if you wanted to walk upstairs. During the day there was complimentary coffee and POG juice. I always grabbed one before heading out! EXTRA: Your stay at the Outrigger Regency also gets you access to the nearby Outrigger Hotel's pool area. Just show your key and you can get two towels and hopefully find a lounge chair to get some sun without all the sand. Overall, it was excellent place to stay and I'd recommend this to anyone. My only issue was a broken elevator, but hopefully it won't be broken for you! read more

This was my first time going to Oahu, HI. My family (son, husband and myself) stayed in 1 room and my mom, dad and nephew stayed in the room next to us. We stayed here for 7 days 6 nights. Location: Close to everything. Beach. Restaurants. Shops. Staff is very friendly and helpful. AC works wonderfully! They don't have maid service, so it takes them a while to get you things if you need a refill on something. Very modern. Love the look. BUT, I was expecting it to be more cleaner. We found dirty band aids in our drawer next to our bed. I'm not sure if it was their air freshener, cleaning product or laundry detergent but I couldn't stand the smell. I wanted to throw up every time I took a sniff. So I had to spray our room with my perfume. The smell went away after the 3rd or 4th day. We requested a crib and the linens didn't even looked washed. They also gave us a new linen when they delivered the bed. (So I'm assuming that it wasn't washed??) Yuck. And it had left over food or what not on the crib itself. I boiled some water for my son's thermos and when I pulled out the small pot, the top wasn't washed and the pot smelled. Overall, I would stay here again if it was more cleaner. This is the only place my hubby and I stay at since they opened in 2006. All the rooms are a mini 1-2 bedroom condo which comes with a equipped kitchen and large lanai. Great to buy eggs, spam and bread at the ABC store below and make your own breakfast. Super clean and comfy with modern contemporary decor. There's a tv in both the living area and bedroom. My hubby loves returning to the hotel anytime of the day to find his favorite beverage always available, free of charge in the lobby. POG - Passion, Orange and Guava juice. FYI - There's no pool here but you may use their other sister Outrigger hotel which is located down the street (2 hotels away). There's a daily parking fee if you have a rental. Close to plenty of nightlife and restaurants. Roy's Hawaiian, Nobu's, P.F. Chang's, Starbucks, Ruth Chris, The Yardhouse and the Royal Hawaiian plaza are all around the corner. CHANEL is just up the street!! I HEART!! Can't confirm or deny if this hotel has Wi-Fi but I remember we were able to use our laptop. You may want to confirm with the hotel. Staff is amazing. The only negative thing I can say about this place is the mirror in the bathroom. I'm 5'3 and the mirror is a hair too high for me but not enough to bother me. There's a hallway mirror just outside of the bathroom. Was there 1.5 years ago and they were building a new Hard Rock on the same street as the Regency. It should be there by now. We had to book a last minute trip to Hawaii for a family emergency and we were looking a 2 bedroom unit as there would be 5 total adults & 1 small child. We found the Regency at the very last second and decided to book it due to it's location and price for a two bedroom unit ($240 a night w/ AAA). I did research on it so I was aware of the cleaning fee and nightly parking rates and while a little high, the overall total was a lot cheaper than some other hotels nearby which were only standard guest rooms. The room itself was clean enough but slightly outdated. Their was an AC unit in the living room and one of the bedrooms, but the bedroom that didn't have one could still feel the air from the living room so it wasn't really a problem. The two things I really enjoyed about this hotel were the staff & location. I read a lot of complaints in regards to service but my family and I didn't experience any of it. Just note that since it is essentially a condo complex, at night only security is available so the front desk and hotel staff are only their in the mornings to afternoon. As far as at the location, it's at the beginning of the Waikiki strip, so it's close enough to everything but still far away from all the main traffic. There is also a 7-11 and ABC Store a few steps away so if you're like me and snack on 7-11 musubis when in Hawaii, this is the perfect spot! read more

I booked this place for 2 nights for my wedding. The bridesmaids and I stayed the first night so that we could get ready together in the early morning and hubby and I stayed the second night to escape from reality and pretend like we were away on a honeymoon to a tropical paradise. My bridesmaids wanted to live there. Fully furnished kitchen (with a fancy schmancy microwave), separate bedroom, lots and lots of closet space, cool funky modern furnishings, full kitchen, a big bathroom (no bathtub though, just a shower) and 2 flatscreen tvs. They described it as 'the perfect apartment'. We booked it under the kamaaina rate, which saved us a few dollars off of the special online rate. Parking was pricey ($18) but parking ANYWHERE in Waikiki is pricey so it wasn't a shock to me. There's an ABC store downstairs, right next to the front entrance of the hotel so it was convenient for picking up things like snacks and drinks. =) read more

We are here for a military move. Our first night on island was terrible. The second night we came here and have now been here for 2m5 weeks. We are in a 1 bedroom with two small children. We have a kitchen, minus an oven, and everything we need to make and eat food. Being able to be here has been a blessing! It is fairly quiet, a beautiful view, wonderful staff. We have extended our stay twice now and we were supposed to change rooms, but after talking to the manager, who rocks, she helped keep us in the same room. So easy on us. It would have been TORTURE to move rooms. HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

The actual condos are the only average thing about this place. Management and the workers here don't care about you or anyone that is staying here. My family had our phones and wallets stolen out of our car here and the front desk would not even accept a package to hold for us that included our new credit cards and phones. I recently stayed one week at this hotel with my wife and two teenagers. We had a 2 bedroom unit on the 7th floor with a partial ocean view. We paid $260 per night plus another $38 for taxes. Amenities: This is a modern condominium with flat screen televisions in the living room and bedrooms. HOWEVER, THERE IS NO WIFI in this hotel. If you are like me and have iPads and a Mac air, you will not be able to use your iPads or computer in the unit. This was very inconvenient. Kitchen: The kitchen in this hotel lacked an oven for cooking. Therefore, if you plan on cooking, be prepared to only cook on an electric cook top. The kitchen more or less is just for breakfast and lunch. Location: The condominium is well situated in the heart of Waikiki by the Outrigger Surf hotel. You can also use the amenities of the Outrigger Reef hotel, including the pool are. The activities desk was very helpful at the Reef also. read more

Stayed at one of units at Waikiki shores managed by outrigger condominium. Booked directly through the owner using VRBO. At the time of booking, was told by owner that we had full access to outrigger amenities next door (outrigger reef), including gym, pool, beach towels. This went without incident for the good half of our stay. Come one morning when I needed beach towels before the pool attendant was open, I asked the front desk at the outrigger reef for a few towels (something I've done before). Was told by "Frank" that they do not supply services to the condos at Waikiki shore. In fact , he said we have access to the gym and was not sure we even has access to the pool. He told me to walk a block down to outrigger condominium to beach towels. I told him I had gotten beach towels here before and asked if he was certain. He said yes. I was down the block, was told by the receptionist at outrigger condominium that I needed to go next door for towels. Great! I told him to call and clarify the issue. I walked back towards the outrigger reef. Frank met me in front, gave me four towels and was overly apologetic. I didn't care for his explanation. There is either a lot of incompetence or miscommunication, or both. It's frustration when you are trying to get somewhere early in the morning. To top things off, the toilet in our initial unit (605) flooded and was gushing water from the back/bottom of the toilet. We moved units. I'm still waiting to hear back from outrigger condominium on what they plan to do about it. It was disgusting. From what the maintenance man told me, this is an older building with regular pluming issues. read more

Be prepared for the $225 cleaning fee. We stayed here for only 3 nights and the room was almost as clean when we got there. We thought the cleaning fee was if you left the place a mess. Not the case, it gets charged no matter what. The mattress was not comfortable and the room needed updating because of the wear and tear over time. It is a short walk to the beach but I don't think this can classify even as a "partial ocean view." Would not recommend because of the BS cleaning fee. read more

Location excellent for the price. We had two bedrooms and kitchen. Good size condo that was modern and well fitted with appliances such as three cable TVs and air conditioning. Complimentary coffee and POG juice in lobby was a nice touch. Staff are nice. Had an issue with the cleanliness of the room on arrival. This issue was resolve without grief to our satisfaction. I highly recommend this accommodation for families. We comfortable stayed with three children and paid $225 per night US. read more

Don't trust the booking prices. Due to the size of our family we opted for the condo instead of the hotel. Unfortunately even after providing a credit card, your prices are only "estimates" according to staff. Even with including the mandatory cleaning fee of $195 (fair enough), they still charged us over 15% of what our room rates were. They didn't try to hide behind any hidden fees. They just plainly said that our booking rate was just an estimate. So pretty much they told us they can charge whatever they want once you're there. The rates ended up being they same as some comparable hotels, so watch out for this business practice. Our overall stay was about average for a condo. Customer service was below average and second room was not suitable for any privacy. Building is loud. read more

Thiis the cleanest and the most comfotable hotel we have ever stayed at. Owning a remodeled house i can easily tell you that it was much better than my own home. kids love it so did we. I wish we could put some pictures on here for people to see. Super centeral, the beach was great and walking distance to all shopping and and and... The kitchen and its amenities were fantastic and new, from wine opener to wine glasses and dishwasher and and and... coming back here of we copme back to Hawaii !! HIGHLY RECOMMAND ! read more

Very cute, modern, cozy boutique hotel located in Waikiki. It actually looks like Kimpton or Kors Group property rather than what you'd normally see of an Outrigger. It's that nice! I'm guessing that this property actually was an apartment or condo complex that Outrigger bought and renovated, and they did a fantastic job. Hopefully, this property will remain clean and in good shape for some years to come. Location is convenient, and it's on a quieter street than Lewers or Kalakaua which is a HUGE plus. At the same time, it's convenient to everything--beach, shopping, restaurants etc. The staff is friendly, and the complimentary coffee and hibiscus tea in the lobby are a nice touch. The hibiscus tea is quite refreshing and tasty. The suites are fully furnished, very tastefully decorated, with nice, modern furniture. Not the usual cheapo stuff you'd expect. Full kitchen with table, cooking utensils, eating utensils, stove, microwave, refrig, but no oven (weird). Roomy lanai area; comfy sofa bed couch in the living area; nice large flat screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom; and decent mattress in the bedroom. Oh, and critical is the free broadband access--sweet! Great bathroom which again, is very modern and clean. Fantastic shower! I want one! There are limited laundry facilities on the 2nd and 7th floors--meaning just one washer and dryer on both of those floors that are available for guests. Wash costs $2 a load and dryer is $1.50 a load. Not too bad. One demerit is that beach towels aren't available here. You have to go to their sister hotel, Outrigger Reef, at the end of the block to get some. Parking is $18 a day (which is the usual in Waikiki hotels), and spaces can be tight. However, if you're willing to park next door at the Planet Hollywood garage, you can do so overnight for $7, just that you need to leave by 7 am in the morning. Shhhh. We did that for one night since there was no available parking at the hotel. Also, something to note is that you might find the one bedroom suite to be a tight fit for three people. Definitely a small space if you have four. I'd suggest going for a two bedroom suite, unless everyone in your party is petite. As for restaurants, there's an excellent Italian restaurant (Arancino) right around the corner which you must try. Also, while I didn't get the chance to go to the Japanese restaurants located right next to the hotel, I did see many people waiting to get tables almost every night. Regardless of some of the minor things mentioned above, I would stay at this hotel again. It was so cozy and comfy that I felt like I was at home! Plus, the front desk staff was soo incredible friendly and very helpful. I can look past the cost of parking, no beach towels, etc. read more

I was a little leery about this hotel prior to booking it because I've driven past it many times on the way to the Embassy Suites (down the block) and it's a low-rise and looks a little run down on the outside. But, they recently remodeled it and the pictures had me sold. I also got a good rate on a 2 bedroom! So for those of you who are going to stay here and have a car......the hotel is on a one way street.....the entrance to the parking lot is the first driveway PAST the hotel. Not the first one. Parking for us wasnt bad and we always got a spot, but I would imagine it would be tricky during high season because there aren't that many spots. So, we get to our room and find out that it's a handicap room. No biggie, but it has quirks! There was a chair in the shower and the shower had no tub or small ledge, it just blended with the tile floor! The sink also was weird bcuz the bowl was really shallow (about 2-3 inches deep and the faucet was about 2-3 inches from the top so you could only fit one hand underneath the faucet to wash! Couple of other things......there were no towel bars to hang towels and there was no vanity to put your stuff on! That really sucked but not enough to ruin it. So besides these funky features, the room was very nice! It was really modern and had a lot of modern furniture. There were 3 tv's, a full kitchen and living room and 2 spacious bedrooms. Just like the pics on the website! A nice touch is the guest book that they leave on the coffee table. It was funny to read things that past guests wrote! Oh, another thing is that yes, the garbage trucks do come daily between 5 and 6:30am! And, they do have ice cold POG and water in the lobby daily for your consumption. Overall this was a really nice property. p.s. to the Outrigger Regency Mgmt......if you can't find the chair that was in the shower, look out on the lanai. read more
