This review is for unit 34. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay here again if I visit. My metric for hotel review is: 1. Quiet, especially at night since I am light sleeper. I always bring ear plugs when I travel just incase I stay in a noisy room. For this trip, I did not have to use it. 2. Clean, goes without saying So as long as it satisfies the two requirements above, then I'm good. The room is well kept and clean. I didn't find dirty or nasty areas. The place did NOT smell either. I was afraid that since it is an old building, there might be some odor from bathroom but luckily there wasn't. Parking is not free. They charge $40 a day for parking fee. It's a 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach. This is a good location, as it is close to: 1. Long Drugs 2. Lahaina Shave Ice 3. Ramen Nakamura 4. Henry's Place

We're charged over $300 extra cleaning fee when we checked out. We did not do any mess. I wish this fee is more transparent when we were booking it. It would definitely affect our decisions. Other than that, it is good for a longer term stay because of the spacious room and the kitchen.

Booked several rooms for my family vacation on Spring Break. The Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk is a all condo building with a Great location in the heart of Waikiki. Everything is within walking distance and there are some good restaurants right downstairs. We had a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom condo. The rooms are nicely appointed and the AC system works well. The kitchen, dinning room and living room gives you a lot of extra space. Both of the rooms bath rooms are the same and only comes with a walk in shower. There is a flat screen TV in each room but the remote would change the channels and volume on the TV's in the other rooms too. The Hotel it's self does not have a pool so you have access to use the pool, beach and towels at the Outrigger Reef Hotel a block down the street on Waikiki Beach. The Hard Rock Cafe is across the street and the Yard House is just through the parking lot. Shorebirds and the Ocean House is located in the Outrigger Reef Hotel. There are so many options for food, shopping and activities all around the Regency Beachwalk. Parking is a challenge if you have a larger car. There are limited number of spaces and the driveway and lot is very narrow. Most spaces are back in only. Parking is $20 per day. There is coffee and juice in the Lobby. The front desk service is excellent. The staff is friendly and take care of your needs quickly. The maintenance staff is the same way. The only knock was the Housekeeping staff. One of the rooms was located on the 4th floor in across the hall from the housekeeping storage room. Every morning at the crack of dawn the housekeeping staff of ladies would gather a speak very loudly like a flock of chickens. It was bad enough we changed rooms. Try not staying on the 4th fl. Overall the Outrigger Regency Beachwalk is a great location if your looking for some extra rooms in Waikiki.

It took me awhile to decide on which hotel to pick for our latest Hawaii trip and ultimately ended with this and it was PERFECT. PRICE: I booked the two bedroom partial ocean view, which is the best you can get and still only came out to $270/night (I saw it for $270 online, but it changed to $400 a few days later. I called in and the lady gave me their aloha rate) As anyone who is researching for hotels in Waikiki know, most places charge extra ($30-$70) for each person over 2 people in a room. But the 2 bedrooms at the Outrigger Regency allow up to 6 people for the same price, major plus. ROOM: It's basically a condo conversion with nice and new modern finishes. We were given the top floor (9th) unit facing the ocean. These condo units have their own huge balconies, kitchen and living room which makes the entire place feel like you're at home, not a small hotel room. 3 LCD tv's, A/C, cable tv, dvd player with a collection of some 2005+ dvd movies, utensils, cookware, huge fridge, one bathroom. AMENITIES: You basically get all the hotel services, but the only thing you lose out on is the fancy large community spaces such as the check in area, pool, etc. However, the Outrigger Reef is just a 2 minute walk towards the beach and you have access to all their facilities if you wish. LOCATION: It's walkable to all the major shopping and eats on Kalakaua Ave and plus newly developed Beach Walk and Lewers St is packed with restaurants and stores as well. ABC store next door and the beach is a 3 minute walk away. Just google map this place and you can see everything. PARKING: is behind the building. As you're driving down Beach Walk, make a left into the alley right past the Italian flags. $18 a day, cheaper than most hotels which charge $25-30. Very friendly staff and excellent cleaning ladies. Free juice in the lobby everyday, Mango/Pineapple/Guava flavor combo I think (I noticed this seemed to be a common flavor throughout places in Oahu)

The people at outrigger is rude they charge you $332 for departure cleaning fee and never came to clean or switch out towels we had to take our own trash out the tv don't work I called and they never came to fix them plus it was trash under the beds and couches when we arrived they will take advantage of you knowing you can't just turn around and leave coming from the states/over the waters they'll leave you with no other choice I was there with my kids and wife a total disaster but enjoyed Hawaii overall I'll never stay at this place again they need to be shut down ASAP complete scam

    Dirty cabinet, never used it!

Halepuna Hotel This…read moreis a review of my experience staying at the Halepuna Hotel, located in Waikiki. I booked my stay via Costco Travel recommendations. WORDS TO DESCRIBE Halepuna Hotel: Modern, clean, safe, economically and environmentally friendly (bamboo room cards, water dispensers for your reusable water bottles), bright, airy, quality service in hospitality and room service LOCATION I loved staying at the Halepuna Hotel. It was centrally located at the beach walk, so ABC Store, shops, restaurants, and the beach were all within walking distance. *It was difficult finding the location of the hotel, when we first arrived. There was no big sign that you can spot, while you're driving, so my landmarks I always looked for were the ABC Store and Denny's. STAFF/SERVICE: Everyone that we came across during our stay was very friendly, generous, kind, and attentive. A shoutout to the Valet Service crew, especially RJ. He gave us recommendations for where to go. He always made us smile and laugh with his jokes. Thank you Uncle! AMENITIES: ROOMS Our room was equipped with charge stations-usb and usb c compatible plugs, ironing board/iron, mini fridge, ice bucket, tea kettle, and coffee maker. BATHROOM Well stocked with towels, a drying cord, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciated that instead of your standard toilet, the hotel had bidets! *Great water pressure for showering. The tub was also spacious, if you wanted to take a bubble bath. 8TH FLOOR GYM-Equipped with a lot of machines Water dispenser Additional restrooms/shower room LAUNDRY ROOM is open 24/7 There are 3 washers and 4 dryers You can pay using your credit card or download the WASH CONNECT app *Friendly suggestions: -As a guest, bring your own laundry soap/dryer sheets--or go to the ABC Store if you forget your laundry supplies -Make sure to clean the lint trap before you put your clothes in -Put a timer on your phone to check on your clothes GARDEN -Serene, tranquil, peaceful, spacious -------- Friendly Suggestions for Halepuna Hotel -Have a big sign stationed outside the hotel, perhaps elevate the height of the sign and add lights to it, so it's easy to spot for first time visitors ------- All in all I enjoyed staying at the Halepuna Hotel. The services and amenities provided were excellent. I can't wait to visit again soon! Mahalo Halepuna Hotel!

We dined in at a nearby restaurant, then walked around seeking Kona coffee. Our suite was ready around 3 PM. The suite was very spacious and I am mostly impressed with the cleanliness. Although, I am disappointed that the adult pool closes at 6 PM, which all the other pools close at 9 PM. There is a private beach area, which my kids enjoyed. Beach chairs are $26 each, which are quite expensive. I appreciate the $65 per night dinning credit, which we utilized at the on site market for snacks and water. We enjoyed the brief firework show from our balcony suite. We attended the on site Huli Huli event, which was quite disappointing. I did not enjoy the food and it was pricey. $75 for skewers, corn, and shrimp. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will contemplate on a return visit in the future.

Check in wasn't bad - busy, but it's a resort so expected. The shops are nice to have near. The real issues was within the Rainbow Tower. The elevators are atrocious to deal with. So you're stuck on your floor or the lobby for 10+ minutes waiting. Next - the smell of marijuana and cigarettes coming from nearby balconies. We notified front desk but nothing could be done. And finally? The cockroaches that scurried out from under the ice machine on the floor. The picture obviously isn't inside - but it's a cockroach nonetheless the less.

One of the important standards I look for in a hotel stay, is a focus on supporting locals. For me, if there's a Starbucks in the lobby, then I'm already disappointed. This hotel has one of my favorite local chain cafes, Honolulu Coffee Company. The only local café that has consistently made perfect crema foe decades. Starbucks baristas are not trained for this. The hotel also has restaurants with lots of local flavor. The sushi buffet is amazing but difficult to get a reservation on the weekends. 100 Sails also has a buffet though ordering ala cart seemed like the best choice for us. However, on my most recent trip, I decided to try the Hyatt Regency, thinking the lounge access and more resort-style atmosphere might be a better fit for my elderly parents. We booked three rooms for our family, and I can confidently say that this stay completely changed my perspective and that is largely thanks to Grace at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. What truly stood out was her ability to make us feel valued not just as guests, but as people. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, and it was clear she takes great pride in creating a positive experience for those she helps. She anticipated needs we hadn't even expressed and handled every detail with ease and grace. Because of her exceptional service, what was meant to be a one time stay at the Hyatt Regency has completely changed my preference moving forward. Grace's hospitality exceeded all expectations and made our trip that much more memorable. It's rare to encounter someone who leaves such a lasting impression, but Grace absolutely did. She is a true asset to the Hyatt Regency, and I sincerely hope she receives the recognition she deserves. I will definitely be returning and recommending this property to others because of her.

During that time, the property experienced a loss of power and water, and the elevators were not working, which made things quite challenging. Waking up to the ocean right outside our window made it all worthwhile. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the front desk, maintenance team, and all the staff members we interacted with were all very friendly and really helpful despite the difficult circumstances. Their positive attitude made a big difference in our stay. The location is def a huge plus, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it super convenient. The pool is a bit small and tends to get crowded, but it was heated, which was nice, and we really enjoyed the SWIM bar and restaurant. The food and drinks there were surprisingly good but they have a new menu so I was disappointed I didn't get to try some of the items I saw on the Yelp reviews . She last visited 5 years ago with some girlfriends and always spoke highly of the property and hotel. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for our 9 day stay. Immediately I noticed that every employee I contacted went above and beyond to greet me and make sure if I needed help they would handle my situation. Staff here from valet, pool staff, housekeeping, bell desk, hotel check in, and even landscaping are well trained and operating on a higher than 90% of hotels out there. This level of service continued from our first to last day folks. Wendy our housekeeper was awesome and remember to tip appropriately! I want to talk about a common complaint I see in the reviews. Cost. I hate to slap you in the face with this but prices aren't what they used to be. Yes, this is a very expensive property. For us, it was worth the splurge that maybe will only be done every 5 years, but there's a reason for the high price. This hotel is roughly 2,500 miles away from the continental US and in my opinion one of the best ocean front properties in the world and you have to pay for that. If you are going to complain about cost then please stay home. Everything on an island that isn't naturally there has to be shipped there. So cost is obviously higher. I was last in Waikiki in 1995 as a child. I remember it then and seeing it again now was amazing. The food, city, and the ability to rent a car and leave the city in a flash is something unique in this paradise. The Sheraton adults only pool and the views that the ocean side hotel rooms provide are unparalleled. The kids pool is also above and beyond for the under 16-year-old age group. God speed Sheraton Waikīkī, I will return.
