"Back in the day" we had a few great Yelp events in this exact space! Anyway... we were glad we arrived early, and were able to snag one of the last tables for our group of 4. We ordered a couple of beers and (at the bartender's urging) got our food order in because they were starting to get slammed. The Dude enjoyed his tasty bao buns, and I slumped down a hearty bowl of hot noodle soup with chicken. It was all delicious! As showtime got closer, the place was packed full with comedy fans. The bar line got long, and we could tell the servers felt a little frantic. Maybe they weren't expecting such a huge crowd, but I feel like things would have gone more smoothly if they'd been able to upstaff for the event. It was a great show and nice to add yet another cool spot to my 26-in-26 Collection on Yelp!

A real old-school burger, that doesn't try to wow you with how huge or exotic it is - seriously, when they handed it to me in the brown paper wrap, I was a little miffed; I mean, $10 (I got the "R&R", the bacon cheeseburger variation) for something the size of a baseball? I thought, "This better be awesome..." It was. Juicy, perfectly cooked grass-fed beef, smash-burger style: thin, crispy at the edges but still pink in the center...topped with smokey bacon just the right size for the patty, gooey cheese, and lovely sauces that just soaked into the pillowy brioche-style bun enough that they only oozed out when I took a bite. It wasn't just good, it was masterful! Washed down with the local house IPA...my friend, I'm telling ya... In disbelief, I went back and ordered their signature burger. Another warm baseball was placed in my hand, wrapped in brown paper, but I eyed this one in anticipation rather than suspicion...would it be as good? Was the first perfect burger just a fluke? Oh, man. You gotta be kidding me. Another picture-perfect burger, this one with still-crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion and a lovely, mildly sweet and tangy sauce that married all the beefy, gooey cheese goodness together and had me reaching for napkin after napkin. I haven't had a burger so good it made me forget my beer in maybe 20 years. Shazam. What beer? Get here and get some of this before someone screws it up. I'm serious. When we got our order and walked it over to the wine bar, I had a tasty fish sandwich but on a greasy bun (yuck) and my husband was served a hamburger, not the chicken he ordered. It was a 2 item order and if the ONLY job you have is to get our order correct, just do it. BTW, the burger was $1 less than the chicken so at this point, we were overcharged close to $6. When I went to complain, the line was 20 people long so I just let it go. Today, during the Noisy Waters Festival, we decided to give them another try and I've been hearing how good their tots are. Tots were tasty for sure but barely warm. It was happy hour so we were charged $3.28 instead of $4 (great deal!). I handed the young woman a $5 bill and 3 dimes, saying I didn't need the 2 pennies back. She looked at me, quite bewildered, paused a bit and gave me back my 3 dimes, saying "I don't think this is going to help." I mean, I did save $0.30 but really?!?! It's Basic math!

There'a both indoor and outdoor seating. The guy working let us know he was a fill-in for someone else, so we browsed inside the bike shop while he made our grub. We split the Lord of the Fries with spicy chipotle sauce and the Gyro. It was a ton of food for 2 people so we didn't end up finishing it all. The loaded fries are incredible - get those... especially with that spicy sauce! Super filling, so I would recommend a half portion unless you are sharing with a group. The gyro was loaded with chikn (which needed more seasoning) and impossible to hold, so we ended up eating it with a fork and skipping the pita. The tzatziki was delicious, but the gyro really needs greens/lettuce to balance it out because the proportions are off. We would order something else next time. Washed it all down with a cold one inside Evil Bikes and browsed the fancy mountain bikes. Would come back for sure to try more.

The sound has been off multiple times -- microphones too quiet, music overpowering vocals -- and I've heard several people politely ask if it could be adjusted. It just doesn't seem to get fixed, which is frustrating when karaoke is the main reason many of people are there. I'll absolutely keep coming back because I love this place, but I may need to check ahead to see who's hosting karaoke before planning a night around it.
