    Ken with professor Jeremy

One of the best Jiu-Jitsu school in San Diego area/Santee. Their kids jiu-jitsu program is a top notch with awesome coaches & professors. Especially the owners Jeremy & Michelle Barden. OUTLIERS Jiu-Jitsu has made my son became a PAN Kids Champ, which is one of the prestigious tournament for kids because of their amazing kids program.

Very pleased with our experience at outliers so far. Still fairly new, but I'm so happy I got my kids involved here, they love it!

Iron sharpens iron. Monday, Wednesday, Friday @6am, we train.

I've trained at a few gyms in my Jiu-Jitsu career, and this place is amazing. I did a weeks worth of a training here before I decided to become a full-time member. I've been here for almost 3 weeks now, and I love the environment. The head instructor Jeremy is probably one of the coolest, down-to-earth people you will ever meet when it comes to jiu-jitsu and instruction. They offer morning classes M/W/F at 6am - 7am, and not many places offer that training. This gym is very family oriented, which is great for your kids. Give this place a shot, I did and I ended up staying.

Extremely Disappointed - Felt Neglected and Discriminated I…read moredon't usually leave reviews for a Jiu Jitsu establishment, but I feel compelled to share our experience with Infinity Jiu Jitsu. My son, who has been diagnosed with ASD, was scheduled for his second trial class. We showed up early and waited patiently--for over 35 minutes past our appt time. There was no front desk staff to check him in, and the coach told us to wait for the check in person and proceed to completely ignored us. He clearly started the 4 PM class we were scheduled the trial for. Shouldn't there be a list of students prior to starting the class for the coach to see? It felt like we were invisible just because we weren't paying members yet. This was supposed to be a welcoming environment, but instead, we were left feeling neglected, disappointed, and discriminated against. On top of that, the facility itself was cramped and located next to a foul-smelling dumpster--not the kind of place I'd want my child to spend time in. I don't know how this place had operated before with all previous year 5 star reviews, but as of today, they have clearly lost their touch and a potential enrollment. I'm so glad we didn't sign up. No child--especially one with special needs--should be made to feel this unseen. If you're looking for a place that respects and supports every student, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

The prices are very reasonable and if you pay for the whole year at once it's actually very cheap per class. Other places are more expensive. The coaches here make BJJ fun for the kids by playing fun games after the practices. I wish I could take the kids classes!

The 'Ohana' motto is more than just a phrase - it's a way of life in this nurturing environment, where students and parents alike feel welcomed and supported. To parents seeking a haven for their child's growth, we wholeheartedly recommend this extraordinary dojo. We're grateful to have found it on our journey. Instructor Alex shines in his ability to channel high-energy students into focused learning, striking the perfect balance between instruction and enjoyment while showing genuine investment in each individual's progress. His passion resonates deeply in every class, a quality that's both rare and truly commendable. We can't recommend this studio enough to parents in the Lakeside and Santee areas looking for a place that will uplift and inspire their child, but also learn to protect themselves.
