I've…read morebeen impressed by the size and cleanliness of the training area, the professionalism and friendliness of the coaches, and the passion and energy of the jiu jitsu community! It is remarkable watching my son grow in discipline, improve his listening and body control, exhibit respect for others, and be excited about seeing his friends 3x/week to learn more jiu jitsu! My son is home-schooled, and Silva Jiu Jitsu provides an environment that he can socialize with kids his same age and learn new skills in a cooperative manner, in the spirit of competition. I'm excited for his first invitational where he will be challenged to demonstrate what he's learned these past few months, especially losing and winning matches with grace and humility. I'm strongly considering signing up myself, having no MMA background whatsoever, thanks to the inspiration provided by Silva Jiu Jitsu!

The instructors lead with professionalism, patience, knowledge, and a clear commitment to the values that make martial arts so important- respect, discipline, and perseverance. What stands out most is the culture on the mats. The environment is structured, positive, and encouraging for the kids, while still maintaining high standard of training and overall SAFETY. Our girls enjoy coming here and are noticeably growing in both skills and confidence. We are very grateful to have found a place that not only focuses on techniques, but also on building character.

Extremely Disappointed - Felt Neglected and Discriminated I…read moredon't usually leave reviews for a Jiu Jitsu establishment, but I feel compelled to share our experience with Infinity Jiu Jitsu. My son, who has been diagnosed with ASD, was scheduled for his second trial class. We showed up early and waited patiently--for over 35 minutes past our appt time. There was no front desk staff to check him in, and the coach told us to wait for the check in person and proceed to completely ignored us. He clearly started the 4 PM class we were scheduled the trial for. Shouldn't there be a list of students prior to starting the class for the coach to see? It felt like we were invisible just because we weren't paying members yet. This was supposed to be a welcoming environment, but instead, we were left feeling neglected, disappointed, and discriminated against. On top of that, the facility itself was cramped and located next to a foul-smelling dumpster--not the kind of place I'd want my child to spend time in. I don't know how this place had operated before with all previous year 5 star reviews, but as of today, they have clearly lost their touch and a potential enrollment. I'm so glad we didn't sign up. No child--especially one with special needs--should be made to feel this unseen. If you're looking for a place that respects and supports every student, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

The prices are very reasonable and if you pay for the whole year at once it's actually very cheap per class. Other places are more expensive. The coaches here make BJJ fun for the kids by playing fun games after the practices. I wish I could take the kids classes!

It's been a little over a year since I have started training here. And it has been of one the BEST…read moredecisions that I have ever made for myself. For context, I had taken a few years off from training after my previous Muay Thai instructor had passed away in a tragic accident. I had trained under him for several years before that happened, and so for me, for several years, I never truly felt that "click into place" feeling with any other KB or Muay Thai instructor. As soon as I joined this gym, I Immediately felt like family. This gym has become my saving grace, my family and my new home. Almost immediately, with Manolo specifically, I had that "click into place" feeling after taking his class. Im a little shy, but he made me feel welcome with his big personality and his even bigger sense of humor. Laughter brings out the best in people, and Manolo, makes everyone laugh. You can tell by the way he coaches, that he coaches through experience: both very technical and pragmatic. You can also tell that he is amazing at what he does, by looking at the champions he has brought from the ground up. In my experience, he reads the room really well, and coaches/pushes each of us accordingly, and that's why anyone with any level of experience leaves his class feeling great. outside of coaching, Manolo was one of the few people to really be there when I was at rock bottom. He helped me to believe in myself again and to get back up. There are several champions and very high level athletes that come in and out of there on the daily, but everyone comes in humble and with no ounce of ego whatsoever. Everyone has always maintained the idea that "iron sharpens iron", and so when you come here, you will see everyone helping everyone get better in BJJ/wrestling/boxing/Muay Thai/strength and conditioning. I can't emphasize this enough, when you join this gym, you aren't just a member, you become family. you feel that with all of the members and ALL of the coaches here. I am forever grateful and deeply loyal to this family now. Once a freak, always a freak.

I was grateful to see him corner my son at MDL. My kids love him, wife and I too! You can tell he really cares about his peeps. Get to know him and you'll be glad you made a new friend. Coach Josh is an extremely knowledgeable boxing coach and exceedingly patient. My kids' striking has improved so much since training with him. Thanks for letting my boys train with you and your students. Coach Nate is a seasoned wrestler and wrestling coach. He does a great job of clearly communicating and demonstrating techniques and the purpose/intent behind each skill. Coach Monsa is great at supporting and encouraging folks new to Judo. I would not want to be hip-tossed by him, but he's too nice of a guy to do that to me lol Coach Boogey is obviously passionate about jujitsu and coaching his members - and it shows. Coach Chris, Coach Jacob, and Coach Jasmine are super friendly and kind to all the kids. My kids also love taking Strength and Conditioning with Coach Matt and the other coach (I can't remember her name right now for some reason and apologize for the early-onset dementia).

I'm a complete beginner, overweight, almost…read more40, and had absolutely no experience in any type of MMA, team sports, or group exercise, so if I can do it, you can too. Switch offers a wide variety of classes. They have a gym on one side with strength and conditioning classes, and MMA and boxing classes on the other, they sell gear, the bathrooms are clean, the music is great, plenty of parking, and I think they have a shower. The classes are consistent and run throughout the early morning into the evening, which makes it easy to find something that fits your schedule. The best part of all is the people, the coaches and the students. You really do run into every type of person there, and everyone is welcome. I genuinely feel that. You just have to show up with respect and a little dedication. I've had the pleasure of learning from Coach Marvin, Coach Andre, and Coach Rob, who owns the gym, he is definitely doing something right. They all have so much to offer. The 7am Muay Thai Coach, Coach Marvin has an incredible eye for detail and can explain or show technique in different ways depending on what clicks for you. He doesn't just explain how to do something, he explains why, which shows how deep his knowledge really is. He also has thoughtful things to say beyond technique and understands that everyone comes in for different reasons, which makes his perspective really valuable. Rob and Andre have also coached early morning Muay Thai, and they're both extremely talented and give you personal pointers. It's cool getting a mix of styles, but what stands out is that they all build off each other's teaching and give each other credit. There's a lot of respect there. All 3 make it fun and motivating. It's a perfect balance of work, discipline, and even humor. You walk out feeling accomplished and better than when you walked in. The environment stays positive. I haven't met one rude person. Everyone has been cool, understanding that I'm new, and willing to offer support or advice. Watching the more experienced students drill together gives you something to work toward. At first there may be disomfort like youre slowing people down but everyone starts somewhere. Many great things in life take the most effort. They offer free trials, what do you have to lose?

From the day I started, every coach was patient and attentive, even in the larger classes. They taught me fundamentals very patiently and offered encouragement every step of the way. As I improved, they gave me more advanced, tailored guidance. It's clear that they encourage kindness towards others, hard work, AND fun. Coach Rob often has a large class with varying skill levels, yet he makes time to help everyone individually. In just one hour classes, he still manages to give every person a bit of personal attention. He even took extra time after a couple of classes to give me pointed, informed direction that made a huge impact on my progress. Coach Toby is the best, and I feel lucky to get to learn from him! He's super patient, pays great attention to technique, and pushes me in a way that's kind and constructive. Coach Panda is a smart fighter, sees exactly where I need to make improvements, and is super encouraging. Coach Marvin is also super helpful, hardworking, and patient. The entire staff at the gym has positive vibes, and all the coaches push you without putting you down. Every class I take (which is every weekday!) I feel like I gained something, and I get excited about the improvements I'm making. I've never been this excited to go to the gym every day, and it doesn't hurt that everyone else who goes there is kind and supportive, too! Will be going for as long as I can.

PLEASE READ, THEN SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP!…read more I work in the mental health field and was looking for a Jiu-Jitsu gym that offered more than just training. I wanted a place that felt like a true wellness space where I could bring clients for Jiu-Jitsu, fitness, and recovery. This place exceeded all my expectations. The facility has everything you could ask for. Clean, spacious mats, restrooms and showers, lockers, a fully equipped gym, and recovery options like a cold plunge, infrared sauna, and professional massage chairs. Everything is very clean. You can tell right away, even by how fresh the place smells. One of the best parts is the location. If you are a surfer like me, it is within walking distance of Tourmaline Surf Park, which makes it perfect to train after a session in the water. Parking is also very easy. I usually find a spot within 30 to 60 seconds since it is in a residential area and quieter during the times I train. They offer a variety of classes for all levels, along with yoga and personal training. What really stands out though is the community. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and easy to get along with. If you are thinking about checking it out, this is your sign. Come try it for yourself. You will not regret it.
