Landmark review This was my first time to this outlet mall and we will be back. Although it is a good 20+ miles from Champaign there is quite a few stores to walk into with good deals. Although they do not appear to be as well stocked as the premium outlets up north, but there are deals to be found at the stores. Often times prices are even lower than marked. Ample parking on this Saturday visit and easy to get to off the highway. We look forward to our next visit. 3.75 stars. Better than you may think. Open air and a decent place to stretch out if you're driving from northern IL to southern IL. Pretty similar to other outlet malls other than being in the middle of the state (just off of I-57). This one is not quite as big either, but still decent. The goods: - Bath & Body Works Outlet, Corningware Corelle Revere Stores, Harry & David and Bath & Body Works Outlet. The usual suspects: Gap, Polo/Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Old Navy, etc. Coming soon: Christopher & Banks. So where is Tuscola? It's south of Champaign, east of Decatur and north of Mattoon (about an hour drive away from each city). Would this be a place where I would go out of my way to go to? For reasons of distance, probably not. If I'm on I-57 and need a stretch, this is a decent place to go. It's not nearly as crowded as its northern Illinois counterparts. Fast food is near by as well. Tuscola is a nice, typical small town in middle Illinois. The people are nice. I only wish they had better food closer by. read more

The outlets here are amazing, I can't say all the stores are great, but the polo, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach and Justice were great. They had awesome sales and wide selections. All the sales personnel were truly helpful and offered us additional discounts! When traveling through Illinois again, I will be sure to stop by and do some shopping! read more

This is a great place to spend a few dollars on brand named merchandise at discount prices. A good representation of the upscale stores are there, Hilfiger, Old Navy, Nike, and many others. The prices are far off the normal market, with discount sales that make this worth a quick stop when traveling by. read more

Just like regular malls, huge amounts of stores have closed over the last few years. Honestly, this might be appropriate to call a dead mall. One section of this mall only has one store in it while the other stores in that section are all vacant. It's depressing, especially if you remember shopping here a decade ago when it was full. Used to be fun to come to before the holidays and find unusual items, but there's really nothing unique here anymore. Prices aren't really that great. Since it's kind of out of the way, you run a better chance of a great clearance deal versus shopping at stores that get much higher foot traffic, so definitely hit clearance racks. Also, since stores keep closing, keep your eyes out for Going Out Of Business sales. I (sadly, while bidding adieu) picked up some great deals when Reebok closed. There were another two stores also closing that same day. read more

I had about an hour to explore this outlet mall. It seemed a little smaller than some of the other outlet centers, but had a decent selection of stores. An added bonus was that they have a playground in the middle of the center, something I've never seen at an outdoor outlet center. I can imagine it's a good respite for kids from all the shopping to be done here. read more

This outlet mall seems a little more mommy-centric than most (dress barn, playground in the middle, multiple kitchenware stores). There is a Rue 21 and a Claire's though not many stores were to my taste. For athletic gear this place may be okay as there was a Nike as well as a Reebok but no Under Armour. There are plenty of coupons floating around and I got a 40% off Reebok coupon at a kitchenware store so just keep your eyes peeled at the registers where they keep those things. Overall I can't see myself coming back here with my girlfriends. read more

Out in the quiet town of Tuscola, this outlet mall is a nice place to visit for great bargains and quality merchandise. There's not a food/drink place in the plaza but there are plenty of fast food options right outside its vicinity. Before you start shopping, stop by their Customer Service to get a coupon book. Added savings for about 5-6 of the stores. The two standout places for me are the Coach Outlet and the Ralph Lauren outlet. The Coach Outlet has a good selection to choose from and is less busy than the locations next to Chicago. The Ralph Lauren outlet also has a nice variety of items but their discounts are barely there. Famous footwear outlet and Under Armour outlet also tend to have some great deals. Bath and body works has some nice out-of-season items that are heavily discounted. There's also a Wilson's leather outlet, Harry and David, Old Navy, and an outlet store that sells Nautica and Levi's. Restrooms are very clean. A nice outdoor mall worth a visit when you want some retail therapy. read more

Husband and I stopped here on our recent road trip back home to Chicago for our baby shower. It was on our way back to Memphis, and I really thought one more box, bag, package, etc would result in it busting at the seems- but when I saw the OshKosh B'Gosh and Coach outlet there was no reasoning with this girl. I've passed this place about a dozen and a half times in our many trips back home the last 2 years since relocating to Memphis and must not have ever been paying any attention. I'm a bit shocked by the low reviews. We made purchases at Coach which saved me a butt load of money (butt load people!!) and OshKosh, which I felt like they were paying me to take the stuff. Coach had three walls of clearance items marked down an additional 50% from the clearance price, and OshKosh had $40 pairs of baby overalls for $6 bucks! You gotta be kidding me right? We also stopped into the Gymboree store and made some purchases there. All the sales we encountered were well worth the money and the time it took out of our road trip home. Baby clothes are ridiculously expensive (don't even get me started on these two particular brands of baby clothes) so finding high quality brands like this for $4-$10 a pop was insanity. I also saw some great deals at the Bath and Body World and Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, but knew with our space issues I would be sitting with these packages under my feet in the passenger side of the truck for another 4 hours of driving, so I controlled myself. We made a pact that we will be stopping here from now on whenever we make that trip back to Chicago. We will also respectfully request any visitors from that area stop on their way down to our place for housewarming presents. It's only common courtesy after all. We found a pair of little boy's boston terrior rain boots at OshKosh for $10 bucks! Who could pass up that kind of deal?! read more

I remember that this used to be part of the Tanger Outlets group but it was a matter of time that they changed. Many stores have closed and also online shopping has changed everything. It started about 56 to 21-22 stores. Almost half because the online shopping and also shopping locally has changed us as customers. It just not the same feeling from back in the good days! I was excited about going to the Tanger Outlets. But not anymore! This is the same outlet that used to be known as the Tanger Outlets at Tuscola. A company bought out Tanger, but nothing has really changed except the website. The stores and hours are the same. I was out for a drive and exploring and why not stop and see if I can find a bargain. Located right off I57 about 2.5 hours from Chicago. Standard outlet mall with quite a few stores. But only a few I like. All the stores are in lined up like a strip mall with parking in the middle. They should have had parking around and walking inside but hey it still works. I was able to score a few bargains and enjoy the sunny day. If you around stop in, I prefer Michigan City. read more

I loved loved loved Tánger outlets, and the only reason this is a 4 star review and not a five star one is because they went out of business and changed to whatever this one's called now :( Ok, cons aside, there are only two malls close by where I live; the one on marketplace and the one in tuscola. This mall is by far, the better one of the two!! The selection of stores is so much more varied and I feel like there are so many more sales in each of the stores than you'd ever find in the marketplace mall. I love the fact that I walk around outdoors rather than just in the building the whole time, although, I guess another kind-of con is that there's no real food court to go to and the walking can get tiring. They do have these really cute snack places though! So you can always grab some chocolate or popcorn to hold you over til lunch. Ummmmm........ What else.. hmm, I guess that's all, but go here!!! Drove by this mall on may way to Carbondale. When my boyfriend saw they had an underarmour outlet we had to stop. We only went to a few stores but the exterior of the mall was clean and well maintained. The stores had good stuff but were still a little expensive. I've found really good bargains at outlet malls before but I feel like this was just more of an outdoor mall. read more
