I typically love this store but, the last time I was here looking for shoes for our daughter the sales person was less than what the standard for the store was. First, when I come in and ask about a specific shoe, that's what I want to talk about. Second, if you don't have that shoe, please don't bring out a different model and try to sell me that. Great running shop. Very helpful and friendly staff. They care about putting you in the right shoe and will spend the time to do so. I tried several pairs in various sizes and the sales clerk that assisted me would analyze each one for fit and support. Highly recommend Body N' Sole Sports for great running shoes. Stopped by their tent sale today, was in and out in 10 minutes with a great pair of shoes that should be $130 but were on sale for $80. I even stupidly forgot I was wearing flats, so they loaned me socks to try on so I could make sure they fit. Great customer service, everyone wearing masks. Every time I walk in here, the entire staff is super knowledgeable, super helpful, and they know anything and everything when it comes to all fitness type shoes, socks, inserts, etc. I've come in with different feet issues and they always have a solution. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgable, they're always available to answer any questions you may have and offer advice as needed. One of their best attributes is their ability to do a gait analysis and help you find shoes that will fit you perfectly. Their selection of running shoes, apparel, and accessories are second to none. I went in to get a new pair of shoes for the gym and walking. My usual size is a 9.0. I was told that I needed a much larger shoe and was talked into purchasing a size 10.5 (!!) I took the shoes home and they were so oversized that I could not walk without tripping. Luckily the shoes fit my husband, so the money was not completely wasted. I realize that shoes should have some room in the toe, but if I am constantly tripping over them, something is not right. read more

I had a wonderful experience at BodyN'Sole. I've been looking for a new pair of running shoes for a while and was unsuccessful every other place I tried. We found this place on accident and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did! We walked in and were greeted by Allie who asked what we were in for. I explained my situation and she took a look at my feet and how I walked and was able to find the perfect pair of shoes on the first try. All the employees were so nice and followed the mask mandate. i have been a runner for many years, and i've always bought my shoes at this place. they do check gait, and know how to put you in the right shoe for your needs. i appreciate that they are cool about returns too. i ran in the same sort of shoe for a long time, but after a surgery on my calves, my gait changed. it was an ordeal finding the right shoe to compensate for my new stride. they allowed me to take shoes and try them on the treadmill until i found the right one. after taking a pair home, i gave them a try for a longer period of time on the treadmill and realized they weren't right. i took them back, and was able to exchange them for a pair that worked. most of the guys who work here are very knowledgeable about what they are selling and to me, that is the biggest benefit. this isn't foot locker and they aren't trying to set you up in fashion shoes. the other thing this store has is gear/supplements. they saved my ass this race season when a box from hammer nutrition didn't come in on time. they had endurolytes and perpetuem waiting right there. it was a god send and i know that i'd have struggled to finish my endurance race without it. they carry great gear from nathan, amphipod, and spibelt -- and a lot of mens and women's running clothing. all in all, a great store full of runners. if it's possible, though, i would always ask the older guys in there for help. the young guys who work there seem a little less knowledgeable.... and honestly, a little less helpful. they seem to want to sell you the shoe, and that's about it. read more

The guy that helped me was extremely knowledgeable and he watched my feet while I walked, and then explained a lot of things that I never knew before about how the foot works and why I have had certain problems. He selected 4 pairs of shoes specifically for my feet and then watched the way my foot moved in them and discussed how they were working for my gait. It was amazing! These shoes really feel good and normally I have to try on at least 10 pairs before I find something acceptable, but by getting help from this store I was able to try on 4 pairs and get something awesome. And their prices are just regular retail prices, plus they gave me a coupon I hadn't even known about. Highly recommend!!! read more

I really don't understand the negative review because I have been in here several different times and have always received great service. I can't ever imagine them being rude. One time I went in they were very busy due to an upcoming marathon and I was helped in a timely manner. BodyN'Sole has been outfitting my family for years. They spend alot of time with each customer making sure that they understand any foot issues and your athletic needs so that you can get the right shoe. They will bring out as many shoes out as you wish to try on and discuss each one with you. Note that this means you may have to wait a short time to have someone attend to you. The employees can even do a gait analysis should you wish to have one done. If you've never had one, you should get it. The prices are pretty comparable to regular prices that you will find in other department stores. Occasionally, you can get a coupon and they sometimes have big sales. Very helpful employees, got shoes that feel great for less than I was planning to spend

Maybe it's because I lived in upstate NY before this (you know the more hills, the more work that goes into the right shoe finding), but I have found way better running stores than this. For example I went in one day and asked to have my gait analyzed and be fitted for shoes and the response I got was:" is anything wrong with your current shoes?" - i had sandals on so no one could have drawn any conclusion from the shoes i could have been wearing. I said:" I asked to be fitted for the shoes you have in this store by you analyzing my gait while I run. Can we have that done here?" Response: "are you a neutral or over/underprone..." At that point I just gave up on having them fit me since it didn't seem to be a thing the employee wanted to do that day maybe because there's some sets of staff that know so little, they might just as well bring down the reviews for the place... Do yourself a favor and go to a shoe store like the one in Naperville IL, and if you think the shoes are expensive there just write down what you tried and then go and get it on amazon or with some google coupons on the brands website. BodyNSole may have been good in the past but it seems like they are really lazy this year. PS: 12 half marathons and 5 marathons in the last 2 years. I go through a lot of miles and a lot of shoes. Body N Sole is by far the best place to go for athletic shoes. They took the time to see how I stand, how I walked, and if I had any recent injuries. After giving me great advice to help me with a problem with my stance, he picked out several pairs for me to choose from. He was very friendly and courteous. We have always shopped here in the past but we won't be any longer. We purchased a Letterman's jacket as a Christmas gift. We were told it would be in by December 20th and hopefully the letters could be sewn on prior to Christmas. We called the 20th not in. We called again several times only to be told it wasn't in yet. Never a "I'm sorry" or I will check and call you back. It finally arrived the first week of January. We took the letters in and decided to have the name put on the hood and was told when it is zipped you won't see the name. We were called today and told it was in. never a sorry or a discount for all the troubles either. Picked it up and guess what???? you can see the name backwards on the outside of the hood and the matting they used to sew it on. Looks like S**T!!!! I am extremely upset and so is my daughter who waited all this time for her jacket. I worked retail for years and this is definitely NOT Customer Service. Hi all!!! I am an avid runner, or a least was until a couple years ago when I was training for a marathon and got cartilage damage after excessive running. Anyways, I feel better now and wanted to get a nice pair of running shoes, which I had wanted to get back home in NJ. However, my fiance and I wanted to start running, so I gave this place a shot and went there to look for my shoes! Well, I have to say that I have never gotten this rudest of costumer service anywhere, specially when you are buying specialty product. I am baffled at how these people make any money being so rude. The shoes have no prices and when I was asked "Can I help you with anything?", my answer was "Shoe Prices" and the response was "There are no shoe prices on the shoes!"... I can read, so I know that and this is why I was asking for these prices. The woman also made it sound like I didn't know what I was doing because I was in the man's section and I felt she also insinuated that I couldn't afford the $90-$100 shoes. I am soooooo glad I am not from IL because I don't have to buy from these rude people, but if I ever have to come back here, I am sure to NEVER buy from this place and I suggest to all that you drive out to other locations and find friendlier staff. The first time I bought running shoes at Body N Sole was back in the late 70's. I went in wanting to buy the latest expensive shoe that was touted in Runner's World. Jed checked out my feet, my structure, and the wear of my old shoes and recommended something for half the price. What?!? Talking the customer into spending less money? Unheard of. Well, the shoes were perfect and I never bought my running/walking shoes anywhere else. Several times I went in looking for those high priced shoes that were the vogue and was always steered to what was best for my needs at a substantial savings. Most of the staff are runners and know of what they speak. They check out your gait, the wear of your old shoes, your build, and the kind of running you do and recommend shoes based on that. I have never been dissatisfied with any shoes that were recommended to me. It's been many years, Jed and I have aged (he better than I), our kids have grown up, he still remembers my name and still picks the right shoes for me. This is the only shoe store I've visited where they actually look at your feet, investigate the way you walk, check the wear on your previous shoes, etc., in order to analyze exactly what would be best for you. Everyone in the store is so nice and willing to take the time to help you find exactly what you want/need, but aren't pushy about trying to sell you something. Small independent store for runners, swimmers and other active people. These kinds of stores typically have a smaller inventory and are more expensive than chain stores like Dicks or Gander Mountain. I was surprised to find that they are quite well-stocked in the items they carry, even more than chain stores. I bought a pair of swimming goggles from there today (October 01). They had a wide variety to choose from. In contrast, Dicks had just 4 and Gander Mountain had none! The prices were same as Dicks but came out to be cheaper with a 10% discount that the store was offering. Oh, and as expected, the people were extremely polite and knowledgeable. read more
