I recently put together a fun team Happy Hour at the Outlaw Taproom. Everyone had a great time. We ordered wings, fries, guacamole, tacos and several cocktails. I'm happy I was able to expense the bill because this place is pricey. Cocktails are nearly $20 each! Understandable I guess considering this is the Four Seasons bar. Space is limited inside with a few tables, a couple love seats and plush chairs. They also have a pool table. It was probably 40 degrees that evening. My group was a little hesitant to sit outdoors initially, but we were seated in a section with a fireplace. That definitely helped. It was actually very comfortable. They have live music Thursday through Saturday and occasionally host private events & wedding receptions. Call ahead to make sure space is available. I highly recommend for a nice cocktail after work, especially if it's on the company dime :-D

I checked this place out during their Dia De Los Muertos event and was pleasantly surprised by their cocktails! They were running $7 specials and all the drinks I tried were delicious! I did see that regular prices were approximately $14. I don't think I would come here unless it was for Happy Hour or for a special event where they have discounted prices. Their drinks are excellent, but I wouldn't pay regular price for them. If I was going to pay $14 for a cocktail, I know other places that have better drinks at that price point. We sat outside and I found the patio area comfortable and relaxing. It was a chilly evening and the outdoor firepits definitely helped to keep people warm. Outdoor heaters were also available if it was needed. Since there was a special event, they even had a live band! Drinks and music! Love it! If you want to check this place out, as I mentioned earlier, I would come during their Happy Hour or if a special event was going on so that you can get discounted prices. I think the patio area is a nice attraction where you can kick back, have a few drinks, and hang out with friends.

I visited the Outlaw Taproom for their VIP Grand Opening hosted by D Magazine. What a wonderful venue! Located on one side of the Four Seasons Hotel in Irving, it is a cozy bar that manages to capture that rugged Texas feel quite nicely. Patio doors open out onto an awesome covered, yet spacious area, with stairs leading down to the pool. An amazing rustic fireplace roars intensely on one end, surrounded by a comfy living room-like area with couches and chairs to relax in. And if you cannot get too close to the fire, have no fear! Heat lamps embedded in the ceiling beam down on you like sunshine, and will keep you toasty! Drinks and bites were complimentary this time around, so I'll recap my experience and what I tasted. First, let me say the staff and service was amazing! Considering it was a free event, everyone was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We were never without a drink for too long. So let's talk about the DRINKS! Hand-crafted cocktails with a twist! We had the Kickin' Texas Bucks - Tito's, Ginger Beer, Lime, and Mint is the base, to which you can add sweet, floral, spice, hot, or fruity. We got the HOT - Chile. It tastes like a shot of fire with every sip. If you love the hot pepper flavor in your drinks then this is the one for you! We also had the mules which were good, not any different from a mule you would get elsewhere. The bar is also fully stocked with a variety of beer, wines, and spirits. And on to the BITES! ~ Loaded Trigger Tots - tater tots lightly covered with brisket, bacon, and apple smoked cheddar - brisket was deliciously tender and I like that there was not too much cheese in there to overpower the tots ~ Venison Corn Dogs - Corn dog lightly floating on a bbq mustard sauce that had just the right blend of sweet and sour - absolutely DELISH! The batter was more like a hush puppy, which is what I though it was until I bit into it and realized there was meat. Not bad ~ Crab deviled Eggs - this was my one disappointment! I love eggs and crab and thought what a great combo. But alas, there was not too much flavor. I would think "deviled" would have a little more spice or kick to it (like the Chile in my drink!) I love the ambiance, and the staff. Will definitely revisit to sample some more items on the menu. Keep in mind it is a bar menu so mostly bar fare, salads, sandwiches/burgers, with two steak options.

This is a smaller bar but nicely set up. They have a few tables and chairs and a pool table in the back. It overlooks the pool so you can people watch during the day. There's tons of tv's if you want to watch a game. The bar menu has a mix of items from salads to steak. They can edit anything on the menu to cater to a food allergy if needed. It gets a little busy at night but it's never too packed unless there's an event like the Byron going on. I would definitely recommend stopping in here if staying at the Four Seasons.

It's a cool little spot to relax and eat, and listen to live music. The scenery and atmosphere are nice. A great place to meet awesome people who come from different places. My lil veggie burger was actually incredible. Great for date night.

Tucked away in the luxurious Four Seasons, the newly renovated Bar 19 is a refreshing spot for the traveler and golfer alike. Nicely decorated with good food and great drinks along with the outstanding service one comes to expect from a Four Seasons Resort. My favorite item I have tried is the BBQ Brisket Sliders served with Chipotle Aioli, Pepper Jack Cheese and Horseradish Pickles. The flavors blended nicely! I have to say their tortilla soup is worth mentioning as well!

They have a pretty good selection of beers and of liquors (I presume wine, too, but I didn't check). While there are "bourbon bars" with a wider bourbon selection or "gin bars" with a wider gin selection, they have an above average selection of each, and they don't charge absurd up charges for choosing the liquor you like. The bartender is very polite. There's ample seating at the bar, and you can also take your drink to some loungy-er chairs in the nearby part of the hotel lobby. All in all, a solid bar.

You walk in and the bar is to your right. It was about 6 and no one was at the bar. There was a group of guys discussing something over drinks in the lounge area but that was about it. The bartender came right up to my boyfriend and I. I told the bartender my boyfriend had never been to Texas so we tried out essentially every tap by sampling which was nice that he offered that up. After we tried each beer we decided on some options. The bartender went back to texting in the corner and we sat at the bar listening to the music playing in the open concept lobby/bar area We eventually took over the seating area that group was in because the couches looked more cozy than the bar. The happy hour advertised is not a thing anymore, they now have reverse happy hour from 9-10. The beers weren't too expensive as our tab was only $13 which I doable. The bartender disappeared from the bar for a fair amount of time which made me anxious because I used to be a bartender, I guess he trusted we wouldn't leave without paying. He didnt come check on us to see if we needed another beer but that was ok I guess. I went back up to the bar to cash out and that was that. This bar is good for a quick drink but I wouldn't probably go for a top notch bar experience.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Monaco is one of the prettiest restaurants in all of DFW. Dark wood and dark blue seating invite you in. The bar is stunning, with back lighting highlighting their drinks. There's also an outdoor seating area, including a wind shield - perfect when the weather is nice. This is a great spot for a weekend date night if you want something outside of Dallas. 1 Star. Service - Everyone was very nice. We were never rushed, all dishes could be customized to order, and I never had to ask for a refill. Nothing but good people here. 1 Star. Food - Let me start by saying presentation matters, and the dishes at Monaco are great for your Instagram or Yelp feed. I started with the roasted oysters. I chose it because the description said the oysters are "topped with bone marrow butter". That, combined with the roasted breadcrumbs, added a nice crunchy and smooth texture to the delicious oysters. For my main, I went with the Salmon St. Harve. This beautiful dish had a perfectly prepared salmon. Soft and flaky, but with a crunch from the skin at the bottom. It was served on top of grilled asparagus and topped with a cream sauce that brought everything together. Delicious. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's not a secret that I love Water Street. This is an awesome area in the heart of DFW, and I'm so happy there is an upscale restaurant like Monaco that has amazing food. 1 Star.
