You will this little place driving through the town of Eunice, NM. The place was very clean, the servers were extremely friendly and attentive. The menu had a little of everything. From build your own pasta to steak and seafood. I opted for the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and corn on the Cobb. I had ice tea that was actually fresh brewed, which I haven't seem to find in a few days. So that's a bonus star in itself for me. The food was good. It came out how I ordered it. Words cannot describe our meal at the Outlaw Cafe! I had the hamburger steak I don't chew very well. And I'm telling you there is love love in everything... I thought of that hamburger steak and there was love put in that gravy! It was a mushroom and onion beef gravy I don't know how they did it but they fit the love in there! And I know that's served all over the United States and I have been from San Diego to Bangor, Maine and nothing is that good, nothing! And my son and I got dessert, just because, and it was so creamy and rich...It's the best coconut cream pie I've ever had! And the little girl that was our waitress, was just wonderful. Interior of the restaurant is homey and good. I ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. It took about 30 minutes to receive them. They arrived to my table cold and extremely salty. I could only eat a few before becoming overwhelmed with salt. So then I decided I would order the create your own pasta. It advertised pasta with sauce for 10$ and any adding being extra. But was 12+$ for the pasta (pricing needs to be updated) I ordered aglio olio pasta using angel hair. With salmon on top. I also ordered lemon butter sauce on the side to try with my pasta. When receiving my pasta the order was warm as best and in some spots room temperature(likely microwaved). Aglio olio pasta is to be created using garlic olive oil and Parmesan cheese. I chose it due to its simplicity. However what I received was pasta drowning in olive oil. It's supposed to be mixed together and drained for a light layer of olive oil. I then tried the lemon butter sauce to see if it would help with the overbearing amount of oil in the drenched pasta. Only to discover the sauce has no lemon flavor whatsoever. It's tasted more like clam chowder to be honest. The server however was very generous and did a good job. However I do not believe I would recommend anyone order what i did at the very least. I initially planned on ordering a burger after seeing so many good reviews. But pictures of the pasta really drew my attention. It's disappointing that my first and last experience was not preferable. I wish the best for the business, but can not even consider this a location to dine at solely on the bad first experience. read more

Wow, counting down the days until I can come and dine here again. I was on my way to Hobbs, NM and I am glad I stopped in Eunice to get some fuel. Eunice is a small town with not many restaurants, so Outlaw Grill popped out because it was the only one with many reviews and 4 stars - with reason! For pasta lovers, this is your haven! I love that their menu has so many options for salmon, chicken, shrimp served over pasta. Drool... With so many choices, I had to ask the waitress what she recommends. I ended up ordering the chipotle lemon butter salmon over angel hair pasta. If you love chipotle, this is your dish! The chipotle is pretty strong, so I was at first taken back, but as I ate more of the meal I enjoyed it with every bite. For a cleaner, more original taste, I'd recommend trying the lemon butter salmon. The salmon itself was not as meaty or juicy, but still flavorful and good. The pasta was cooked to perfection and all the flavors just had a party in my mouth. I loved that they give you fresh spinach with the dish too! Service is great, my waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The inside decor is very fun, with a lot of things to look at. Everything inside is clean and spacious. The seating is plenty and you can park along the road. I think there is a parking lot behind the restaurant too, but I parked on the street across from the gas station. read more

Finally able to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint me. We went at lunch and managed to have a nice, even romantic meal. It was delicious. I chose grilled chicken scaloppini and my husband chose hamburger steak. The chocolate cake with ice cream was our dessert. All portions were large so we needed to go boxes, even for our cake! The service was good and our waitress took good care of us. There was another customer there she must have known; they kept a conversation going throughout the time we were there. I'm here nearly every weekend because the boyfriend is in the oil field, and doesn't get a lot of time off, but today we took a quick trip into Eunice. Delicious!! Attentive, helpful, quick on the Dr Pepper refills, and so many options- whoa! I was torn between the Rosemary Pork Chops, Portabella Chicken, and the Chicken Scallopini- went with our servers suggestion of the crispy Chicken Scallopini and was not disappointed! So so good! And serving sizes are big so i have lunch tomorrow. My boyfriend had the Gambit (bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and shrimp on it-- wha???), it was enormous and he says delicious. Had the chicken fried steak, it was okay. Nothing to write home about. My friend has been here before a few times and said the food has over time lost it quality. He loved the Alfredo but the last time he had it said it wasn't as good. The Outlaw Grill (not Cafe as incorrectly indexed on Yelp) is about the only passable restaurant in Eunice, NM. We use the restaurant for business entertaining. When our other local dive (Debbies) inexplicably jacked prices, The Outlaw Cafe suddenly became our new place as we can eat their outstanding fare for the same price that Debbie was serving up barely passable stuff. The Fire Steak Pasta is an excellent Baked Pasta dish for anyone who enjoys heat to their food. The Burgers are all excellent as is most everything else. The only downside to the Outlaw Grill is the wait. It has always been bad, but today it was unacceptable. It took our food an hour to get to our lunch table. Door-to-door from the office (which is only four miles away for us) was two hours. Johnny Robertson, proprietor, will have to decide whether he is looking for an excellent table experience or bulk takeout as the takeout will eventually kill his restaurant business. He is making money hand over fist while he pisses off the table customers. For this, only three stars (food alone deserves the fourth star and those who have nothing better to do other than cool their heels should consider this). read more

It is nicely redecorated (that location has been 4 or 5 different restaurants in the 6 years I've been here) and kept up pretty well. Friendly staff. The only downside...if you go at lunch, be prepared to wait a LONG time (1-1.5 hours) to get your order. They get really busy and very backed up during weekday lunch (probably since they are superior in food quality to most locations in Eunice, and superior in service/cleanliness to ALL the rest, and many in the general area).
