The restaurant is owned and run by some older people who still were hustling to get everyone's food and kept the coffee refilled. No printed menu...just tell the waitress what you want...I ordered eggs and bacon and it also came with hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly! There was one regular who started talking to us and then went and got his food and ate with us. He was a funny and fun character. He had so many jokes....one for every letter of the alphabet....and more! The owners have a huge collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. The decor is in showcases and the place is well lit. We arrived before they opened and there were others already waiting for them to open. We highly recommend this fun friendly place!!!

We used to look forward to having Saturday lunches at Addies. Unfortunately the prices have…read moreincreased by almost 30%. The service and food have been less than desirable. I ordered the chicken fried chicken that includes a house salad. When I didnt receive it, I asked the server said "I didnt think you wanted it." I said "If it comes w/the meal then YES I want it." She walked off with attitude. The mash potatoes that came with the meal looked brown and watery. When I asked what was it she said, "It's just a LOT butter." I looked at her confused, she huffed and walked away while I was still looking at her. I wanted "mashed" potatoes not butter potatoes. My fiance' order biscuits n gravy. He said "It tasted like Dollar Store gravy in a can." Lol Needless to say he tried to eat it but could only get 1/3 of it down. Then we overheard the diners behind us complaining about the pancake taste and the fact they they were the size of old-school LP albums and WHO could eat that much bread. Lol. After trying to eat this "food"...we just couldn't, Then waited at the table for 15 minutes for a To-Go box for my chicken fried (because that was the only thing really edible) we watched the servers play on their cell phones, not paying attention to customers. My fiance had to get up, interrupt their conversation and ask for box. So me being petty, when we paid I didn't leave a tip and if the server had asked why, I would've replied, "Because I didn't think you wanted one!" And where is the other "tomboyish" looking server that used to work there? She was funny, hospitable and knew how run that place! The crew we dealt with today... Absolutely unacceptable. * Dine at your own risk. ;)

The name can be confusing, but all that means is that there are spices, normally used to add seasoning to chicken that are added to the breading. The Texas chili that came with it was in a small cup, but every mouthful was so satisfying, it was just what the doctor ordered and I actually ended up taking half of it home. Definitely 4/5 (would have preferred a ratio of more steak less breading, as we were searching for it while eating leftovers. Not that the breading isn't delicious enough on its own (oh it is!)). The waitress who served us was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and incredibly kind to our dog. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were generous. The only negative part of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant. A man seated next to us spent much of dinner being rude and entitled, repeatedly questioning how the salmon was prepared, criticizing the wine list, and generally acting unpleasant toward the staff. The blonde waitress with glasses handled the situation with impressive patience and professionalism. Honestly, it took restraint not to say something myself. She did a fantastic job dealing with a very difficult customer and deserves recognition for it.
