Sissy's Dive is an old-fashioned diner in Lamesa, TX. My daughters had MLK day off, so we ventured here on 1/19/26. Service was nice. A bit slow at times. Our lunch included: + 1 Terror Burger (Add Pepper Jack Cheese) = $11.78 + 1 Terror Burger (Add Swiss Cheese) = $11.78 + Green Chile Burger (Add American Cheese) = $12.58 + Sprite = $2.99 + 2 Milk Shakes = $13.18 The habanero sauce that was served on the side in a small cup without us even asking definitely had a good kick. I tried both of my girls' milkshakes. Our server really liquified the heck out them - not what my girls were expecting. Still, the fries were really good. The patties on our burgers were a bit thin, but overall a decent burger. read more

This is your roadside stop!! Excellent service and food. The customization options are great. I enjoyed the egg sandwich with avocado added and fries on the side. The food was served in a basket (paper plate pics no more). My kid had the little girl chicken nuggets, adorably served in a paper truck. The nuggets were fantastic. Husband had the double cheeseburger and loved it. The sauce bottles were sticky and the bathroom needs an update. The mirror in the bathroom is great- antique sasparilla theme- but the floor needs some tile to easily mop and a new coat of paint on the walls. read more

The diner has a beautiful nostalgic 50s decor. The soup came out cold but they did take it off the bill, which was nice. Everyone's friendly but services mediocre. I do have to give them credit. Their patty melt burger is out of this world delicious. It's worth hitting this place as long as you're not expecting gourmet food and looking for a quick meal. read more

We love Sissy's. It is located in a building that used to be a mom & pop grocery store where my sisters and I would go get icee's and ice while staying with my grandparents fifty years ago, so there are a lot of memories associated with the building. The food is excellent. I have had their wraps. My sister has had their wonderful grilled cheese and at another time their fried burrito. Our husbands more than enjoyed their burgers. They serve a lot of food for a very good price, and it all tasted fantastic. They make wonderful milkshakes as well! The staff is very friendly and very attentive! Wonderful experience all around, and we will go back when we are passing through Lamesa! read more

We decided to come here solely based on the rave reviews of other Yelpers - and they were spot-on correct about this local burger joint. I had the single cheeseburger with fries, on the Jalapeño bun. The burger was everything you want in a diner burger - fresh beat seared on both sides, cold crisp lettuce and ripe tomatoes, with a bun crisped on the grill. The fries are hand-cut and cooked perfectly - we definitely recommend these over the tater tots, which were crispy but soaked in grease. I'd avoid those tots, frankly. The patty melt was deliciously crispy, cheesy, beefy, and hit all the ooey-gooey soft spots in our hearts. They also have over a dozen flavors of hand-dipped Blue Bell ice cream and can make milkshakes and sundaes to order. 5 great diner burger stars! read more

I actually kind of like this place but if you were driving past here you would not think it was open especially if there are no cars here or even just one. They do not believe on drawing the blind so you can see if there is anybody inside. You also see that the right side door is covered up with plywood make you think it's closed or something. Someone here has a large Coca-Cola collection and you will notice that when you step in here and you'll feel like you stepped into a 50th theme owned by a Coca-Cola Guru or something. The price of the food here is reasonable, the service is pretty good as well. Don't let the outside deter you because it is kind of spooky and desolate, just step inside into the time machine. There is also a drive-thru here as well. The menu is made up of your typical comfort food as in hamburgers, french fries, fried fish, ice creams and of course Coca-Cola! Note to the owner if you ever get to reading this, open up your blinds so people know that you're open! It was only 7pm in the evening when we went in. read more

Our family of 5 were just passing through Lamesa and found this place on Yelp, and we are really glad we did. This quaint and eclectic, 50's style diner has incredibly delicious food, and the decor transported us to simpler time long ago. I had the Green Chile Burger which was absolutely delicious. It wasn't on the menu, but having seen it on an earlier Yelp review I asked for it and they were able to make it. Our group also had the Chicken tender salad, the regular double cheeseburger, shakes, and onion rings, all of which were also very well made. We particularly likely how crispy the onion ring basket was. My son who loves hot and spicy burgers, tried their "Terror" burger that comes with ghost chili and habanero sauce on the side and though he liked the burger, he was surprised how hot the sauce was. He's been able to have burgers with habanero and ghost chili before without a problem, but found this sauce to be the hottest sauce he has ever tried, and I tried it and would have to agree, so if you get this one, I would get the sauce on the side and try a little before covering the burger in it. Driving through and we decided to stop to get some gas and something to bite. We happened to find this diner. It's hidden and looks like it's closed but it wasn't. The place has a 50's feel with classic Coke stuff memorabilia. I ordered a Patty Melt and it was great. The patty came with homemade fries and it was a lot. My daughter ordered the Frito Pie and she said it was great and it was huge and she ordered the regular, so I can't imagine what the large Frito Pie would have looked like. Rockys was closed one day so we came here. It was pretty good. They have nice burgers and fries. They let you dress the burgers your self. It's cute inside and the guy waiting in is was SUPER nice. I'd eat here again if Rocky's was closed lol. If Rocky's wasn't here this would be my to go place. It's really good and if you want a sit down experience then you will want this as Rocky's is drive in only. Big plus they serve blue bell ice cream cones and shakes. Yum. read more

My club sandwich on a croissant was very good, but the kids had burgers and they were flavorless and dry. We were driving through and I always like to support local businesses, but the restaurant, although cute with it's old fashioned diner motif, was very dated and worn. The bathroom was really gross. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the food needs some work. The place could use a freshening up. It's a cute concept that you don't see much anymore, and if they would just get some help with the interior and revamp their recipes, I think it would be a real gem. read more

Love this place. Has an old style feel with 50's music playing. Our family had and old fashioned cheeseburger with fries. Burger had great taste and the fries were homemade. We also had a Sissy's club. This sandwich was big and could feed two. Has turkey and ham loved the homemade chips. The staff was friendly and helpful.
