Hate to pile on a clearly substandard location but it's about my experience- which is the same as many others. Stopped in for breakfast. Ordered on the app for table service. Service was very slow. Had to get up and go check. Was bagged up to go. Again, ordered table service. That means that we are eating in at a table. Not to go. No apologies for the slow service. Just bag and go. Table and inside was clean. Has lots of improving to do - just with the basics to correctly prepare an app meal order. read more

I honestly don't recommend this McDonald's to anyone. Employees are rude, they don't greet you, they act like you're bothering them even though they are supposed to do their job. Everytime I've ordered I'm almost always missing an item, or something is made incorrectly. It's gotten to the point where I just consider it my loss when I don't have all my items. For one, if you go inside and pick up your food, and you have drinks with it and they aren't there, asking an employee or trying to get their attention is IMPOSSIBLE because they are to busy talking and chatting. Where to begin?? I made an order for four people. 4. I'm specifying the numbers because I can remember them, but it seems McDonald's cannot. We had a pretty simple order, 6 chicken nuggets, a double quarter pounder, a #2, and a regular burger with nothing on it (I'm doing this from memory so I know it's not that difficult). Let me tell you what came out. TEN NUGGETS? Is this some kind of sick fat joke? A double quarter pounder (I weighed it and I can tell you it's not even a single quarter pounder (3oz, SMH)). There is something seriously wrong with this location. I usually stop here for coffee, light eating (there isn't a Starbucks in Lamesa) when traveling from Lubbock to Midland. The primary ordering option is usually drive-thru, both pre Covid-19 and during it. I never quite understand why after giving my name, I have to wait within the pre-designated waiting area for at least 15-18 minutes, only for my order to be given to someone else. Naturally, that person drives off with my meal (thinking its a freebie), along with collecting theirs. Its not like I give complicated orders. A #1 Big Mac meal, with a black coffee instead of the soda choice. What I've noticed on multiple occasions is that employees never ask the customers in line on whose food it is. The wait time can obviously be improved (I chalk it up to staffing issues), yet waiting for food after you have paid for it only to see it given away is unacceptable. Even after showing employees my receipt, I get this look as if I'm the bad guy. Noooooo. I followed instructions by parking & waiting in the drive-thru waiting area like everyone else. After having this occur to me twice, I have sevond thoughts of stopping here. While this may be the only game in town due to Lamesa being limited in quality fast food/regular restaurant choices, I think that I'll just eat before I leave Lubbock and bypass this area altogether next time. read more

The McDonald's in Lamesa,Tx. Has been decent for a couple months. Until Today 8/4/2023 I ordered 2 Mocha Frappes a vanilla shake cheeseburger and Fries. I got my food quickly. I stood At counter waiting for my vanilla shake and 2 Mocha Frappes for 10 minutes. The manager walks up asking if everything was ok. I told him how long I had been waiting for my coffees and shake. He became nervous and looked to be scared of what looked to be 15 yr old 5' tall girl. He told her to make my order and she refused and sat down and at same time giving me go to hell looks. Finally I persuaded the young man that took my order to make my coffees and shake. He carefully, looked full of fear to walk around the girl who refused to make my order and made my order and nervously walked back to me handed me my order and apologized for the disrespect and rude behavior of the the girl that was being a brat. The so called "manager " had gone to hide like a coward would. It's time to restaff Mcdonalds in Lamesa,Tx. Get a staff in there that wants to work. Stopped by this McDonald's while passing through from Lubbock to Midland. This is basically the only town you pass in the 2-hour trip, I guess you take what you get. I liked the modern building and decor. Employees were friendly. One issue I noticed was that all the employees were doing something and couldn't get to the gentleman in front of me... instead of saying "We'll be right with you" they said nothing. I stood there in shock like, "Do they even notice us standing here?" It went on for a few minutes until they got to him and then me. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and have tried to go at different times but no matter what time I go the service is slow, the drive through is even slower but the slowest of all is curbside pickup which I use when I have a baby asleep in the car and the drive is full. Waited waited and waited for our order To be taken. This location has two lines and the line beside us had four cars order before we finally got a "hold on please" over the speaker! After watching several more cars pass though the line next to us, we called out again to the speaker to be waited on. Shes comes on again to say " be with you shortly!" We backed out and left the location without placing an order. This is not the first time we have had issues with this location. Garbage service for fast food! How did I manage to get so frustrated in a small town McDonalds while passing through?! The whole point of getting out of Houston is to avoid the attitudes of big-city goers. Let me tell you! This woman. Her name was Champagne. I don't even know if that's her real name, but she was NOT BUBBLY by any means. I walked in, tired after a long drive from Albuquerque, and this broad proceeds to have the nastiest attitude over me placing a simple order for a #9 and a side of ranch. She proceeds to ask me how many ranch packets I want. Not used to facing any issues with this request, I responded kindly, "Oh, as many as you can grab. I use it instead of ketchup." Again, she responded, "So, how many do you want?" At this point, I sensed her frustration with me growing, though, I wasn't sure why. So I responded, "Fine. Okay? 3. Exactly 3 ranches please." She didn't say anymore as I continued to pay. As she handed me my receipt, I guess she couldn't resist. "Just so you know- I have to charge you for the ranch." "Fine." I responded. She could have explained that upfront, instead of being a brat about it. I took my receipt and went to go stew in the corner while I filled up my Sprite. I could hear her tell her coworker, "Ooooh these people up in here are testing me today! Testing me, I swear." Broad. At this point, I decided to make my point. You want to be tested? I'll test you. I checked my receipt and saw that the ranch was an entire 10 cents. I pulled out a $1 bill and when my order was ready, complete with exactly 3 ranches, I put my point into action. I went back to the register and handed her my $1. And said, "I'd like to purchase more ranches please. As many as this entire dollar will buy." So, 9 ranch packets later, and my change handed back to me (they wanted to be VERY exact), I felt fully satisfied and headed for the car. This is when I checked the burger and noticed that they were prepared incorrectly. Tempted to drive off in frustration, I could hear her snarky side-comment echoing in my mind. I hopped out of my car and slammed the door behind me, storming inside. I threw the burger down on the counter and demanded a manager. When he arrived, he seemed startled at my anger, and I proceeded to request my burger to be completely remade. I also informed him of Champagne's terrible behavior. I don't think he cared much, but he threw in a free apple pie to my new order, probably desperate for me to leave. Road irritability? Probably. Acceptable behavior from this establishment? Over the course of the last couple months this place has gone down hill...fast! Don't even try to go here in the afternoon/evening if you don't have time to wait. They'll chose one lane to take orders from on drive through. No welcome when you pull up to the speaker box. They expect you to just sit there and watch as the other lane takes multiple orders. You say "hello" and they say be right with you." After 10 min and 4 cars in the other lane going through we finally left. For the last time. We were passing through (like so many others) and Suana (manager) took our order and HELPED us greatly (when our debit card would not read correctly). She was super patient with us (evne though the place was packed and drive thru was super busy). She was kind and polite and our food came out FAST ! I was shocked by the awesome customer service, super clean restrooms, super clean establishment (overall) and the fact that they were SUPER BUSY and yet still were highly efficient!! This McDonald's is dirty and has sub par customer service. We stopped here passing through town and while the food was decent, I can't get past the lack of cleanliness and rude woman behind the counter. The lady who took my order was kind and sweet. However, I said 3 times that we wanted the snack size McFlurry. In the middle of our order, I got distracted by another worker being rude to a customer, and didn't process that I paid more than I should have, and the larger size was actually ordered. Very frustrating. That's not enough to deduct three stars, but all restaurants should be cleaner than this one is. That's for sure. Assistant Manager Cloey took our order and was more than rude the entire time she did so and when asked for 3 and under toy they were out of stock. That part of understandable but no apology just looked at us like "can you just finish your order". The tea was all completely out and condiments weren't stocked and the bathrooms were down right gross. While the food here is normally McDonalds normal food, they are definitely not open 24hrs. Between 0100 and 0300 the lights are usually on. The recording at the drive through will play, but no one answers to take an order. There are typically a couple of vehicles in the parking lot when this happens. read more
