I had no idea how severe or minimal the damage to my laptop screen was and was honestly freaking out, but the employees made sure everything was taken care of and got the part to me within three days! Fixing the laptop itself only took about 30-45 minutes, so pretty speedy service in my opinion. They also gave me a lower estimate than I originally thought, so high was a pleasant surprise. The service provided, including a very quick response, with the information requested provided, and prompt answers to subsequent questions, was "great," and deeply appreciated. So, I am modifying my evaluation to say that the service received was great, as far as it went. I told him exactly what the issue was, to bypass the bit locker. He didn't need to diagnose it. I was told the repairs would take a week. One week passes, I get no call or update. I called and was told that it was a lot of work and he needs another week. Another week passes, I hear absolutely nothing, no follow-up call from the company. I called 2x more and was THEN told that they are really busy and backed up and needed another week. Another week....is all I could get from him as an update. Its been 1 month and a full week and he still never fixed it, nor did he ever call me to provide an update. I finally had had it and went to pick up my laptop and not use his business. He had taken some time to even locate my laptop when we asked for it back. I should have been more aware when I came there, as the store is literally stuffed from front door to the back and ceiling with electronics, in disarray and barely any space to walk in there. I should have been told at drop off how backed up they were, that it would take a while to even get to my laptop from the start. Had I known that, I never would have left it there to begin with. They also refused to give my $40.00 deposit back. Im guessing they need it more than I do. I do not, recommend this business at all. Unprofessional and deceitful regarding repair time frames and never reaching out to give me an update, not once.

Went in 5/27/25 to trade in some collectible figures for a PS2 I was looking at, after ab 30 minutes of waiting for an appraisal the staff comes back and says my figure is worth 192 on a trade for IN STORE CREDIT (w/ 20% added for trade in Tuesday's) not knowing the true value of what I had at the time, I accepted the trade and ended up buying a PS2, memory card, warranty, and 2 PS2 games as well which ended up costing me ~300 in total; despite having a figure worth 4-500 I was given a fraction of what it was actually worth and ended up OWING them money. They then claimed that I need to remember that "they are a small business so ‍" What VGH failed to realize is that I had NO issue trading the item in to them since WITH the money I got from the trade I was going to immediately spend it back at the store meaning they would only stand to have made money on our transaction. The issue I have is VGH pulling an underhanded move like this then turning around allowing me to then spend more of my money in store (when my trade-in value was never met in the first place). TLDR: VGH lost a potential returning customer who would have given significantly more money to this company in time than what they got by cheating me out a SINGLE collectible figure. EDIT: I was also given a 3rd party PS2 controller when I bought my PS2 which is a laughable business practice.
