After checking out my trusty YELP, I came across Jeff. I called and he immediately responded. He said that he had several cars to look at but to text him about my car and situation so that he wouldn't forget about me. Several hours later (which I was fine with), he told me to come the next day at 10 am. When I arrived, Jeff immediately looked at my car and said it was my exhaust system and could need a new one. He said he did not do that but had someone around the corner who could do that. He then hopped on the dolly and looked under my car and said the exhaust must have dislodged when we went through the water puddle. He said he could weld it for us and the charge was only $70. I thought this automotive visit could easily been a big downer for our vacation but Jeff was honest and efficient and made a great experience. If you are on vacation or a native, use Jeff. Turns out the mechanic (after having made me wait an hour so he could take his lunch break) installed the brake line incorrectly so that it rubbed against the tire and eventually wore away completely. When I called to inform them, they took zero responsibility, and informed me that "There's only one way to install a brake line". The mechanics I talked to in Virginia (where my brakes failed) both told me that the guy that worked on my car shouldn't be working an any cars, period. So if you value your life, or your family's life, I'd recommend going elsewhere. There are several other more professional, and more competent, places in the area.
