You should avoid this company like the plague. I hired this company to fix some electrical problems with my home. I am trying to sell my house because I have to move to Massachusetts to take care of my mom who is very ill and recently lost her husband earlier this year (my father) after 64 years of marriage. The BRS electrician, who went to the house, however, did not fix most of the problems that I identified. As a result, I was unable to sell my house. In other words, I would have sold my house but for the failure of the electrician to fix the problems. I called the office and spoke to Genia Smith. I was utterly astonished at the level of indifference in her response. She simply told me that the electrician left my house without doing most of the work because he had "someplace else to go." She didn't care at all that the BRS electrician didn't fix most of the problems that I had reported or that I lost the opportunity to sell my home as a result. More important, she was actually cruel. She didn't care that my father had died or that my mother was very sick. BRS should not be allowed to do business in the Outer Banks or anywhere else. I am in the process of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and the state and federal elected officials including the governor, state legislature, members of Congress, etc. If you are a customer that has been similarly mistreated, I suggest that you also report them to these officials. Acting together, we can prevent BRS from being able to treat anyone else the way that they treated me. read more
