I just the most rewarding experience with this company and their technician, Jason! Rented a beach house in Corolla with friends, and noticed a large amount of water coming out of a hole in the roof under the carport. Was told to contact Pop's Repairs and did. A wonderful lady took our information and said she would try to have someone come to house today. Within 30 minutes, Jason arrived. He went right to work, found the problem and corrected it in less than an hour!! Also, he was one of the most pleasant, professional and polite young men you will ever meet. I scheduled a repair service with Pop's Repairs a month prior to the date since I would be traveling out of state for it. I confirmed multiple times, since a hurricane was predicted, and was never asked to reschedule it or told they could not do the work as planned. When the day arrived, I could not reach them by phone or email and no one contacted me at all until the next day. They were not prepared to do the work and put the blame on me, despite many emails confirming and never being told they did not have what they needed from me to get started. I asked to be scheduled for a date a month out, was told "Will do", and then screwed the week of. Will never do business with them again. read more

I have used Pop's exclusively since 2013. He has fixed toilets, drywall, exterior leak and replace our ac unit. Last fall I asked if he could do some plumbing. He replied that he could and told me when he would do the repairs. He showed up with a plumber who said that a storm was coming and he had to go home to fix his generator. He left my house with the plywood torn out and a storm coming. I called today about the ac unit that he installed not working and he stated that he would not honor the warranty because he did not own the business when he installed it and that I had not let him service the unit regularly, even though he worked on the unit last year. It is a shame, Pop's was a great company, prior to Jim buying the business. I would not recommend him any longer. It is apparent that he has a lot of business now and repeat business is not a concern. read more
