A simple conversation with us could have resolved everything. We just need resolution on the plants he removed. That's all we have ever asked. He refuses to even discuss it, and now threatens legal action. We have a documented paper trail leading back months that clearly outlines our complaints about his employees' actions, his refusal to communicate, and the theft of our plants and personal property. For him to claim that he hasn't heard from us is an absolute lie. We reached out numerous times to try and find resolution with him. In the end, WE were forced to stop payment because of Brett's lack of response. Yelp reader, take note of how this man deals with issues. The actions on this review, and his actions with us, clearly show that this man does not act in good faith. I would steer clear of him. As far as my past reviews on Yelp showing that 'there was nothing that we could have done to satisfy you' - 60% of my reviews on Yelp are 4 or 5 star. It's pretty easy to make me a happy customer - just be open and responsive.

I was really against the idea of turf before we talked to Brett, but he showed us that it is really a great first choice for a yard, not just a runner-up if your grass won't grow. It feels great, looks great and it's super cost effective!! We're very happy with our new lawn! Plus, Brett made it all easy.

We were concerned at the start, just because it was a big project. But from the first meeting we found Felipe and his father Miguel extremely easy to work with, kind, thoughtful, quick to grasp all aspects of the project, and very hard-working. In no time, we had a schedule and a budget for the project that we thought was very fairly priced. Because this was a commercial project, we ran into frequent problems with City Hall, but despite this, Felipe kept the project on track with amazing patience, good humor, and creativeness. He was always available, always there, and always helpful. (Having dealt with other contractors, we were astounded.) His integrity is also exceptional. When a run of very hot weather came just as a concrete countertop was starting to cure, a hairline crack appeared in one countertop. I hadn't even noticed the crack. But Felipe pointed it out to me and insisted on replacing the entire countertop at his own expense so that it was absolutely perfect. That kind of honesty and integrity is priceless. In the end, we have a completed project we are absolutely thrilled with and proud of. He kept it as close to on time and on budget as humanly possible (given the difficulties with the City approval process) and we could not be happier. We will be using him again for work on our own house and would recommend him enthusiastically to family and friends. If anyone would like to see his work, they are very welcome to come and look at the project at any time...it is the Depot Hotel in Sonoma.

The hardscape was well done. However, the landscaping was very problematic. Fred and team started…read moreto follow the landscape designers blueprint on the first side of the house, however, by the time they got to planting the hillside, and the other sides of the house, the blueprint specified prep was not followed and the plants were basically stuck into the existing hard clay and then covered with landscape mulch. Many plants have died. As far as I can tell, Fred did not supervise adequately and did not specify what needed to be done so that the work was done correctly. Although Fred was responsive when I complained, he then had one of the side beds redone when I wasn't home after I specifically asked him to let me know when the work was going to be done so I could supervise it. When I came upon the job as it was being completed he told me that because the bed is close to redwoods (20 feet or so), that the roots grow right back in again so they can't do the blueprint specified prep. Ok, I understand that might be the case in that bed. But then it turns out that all three of the drainage portals in that bed were completely covered with dirt. I'm so frustrated by all of the "nice to your face" but questionable work "behind my back" game that seems to have gone on here. We were prompt with paying when Fred requested....we lived up to our side of the contractual agreement. It's maddening that Green Team did not live up to theirs. Our landscape designer recommended Fred and Green Team. Unfortunately, with the landscape designer being separately contracted from the landscapers, it gives the landscapers a lot of latitude to vary from the plan. A very expensive lesson.

All of the workers could not have been more pleasant to have on my property. Job took about 2 months and had the opportunity to really get to enjoy them. The attention to detail on my hardscape was amazing. The product we chose ended up needing a ton of cuts and each one was perfection. I am so pleased with the service and skill they brought to the job, I would highly recommend them. So far the after care service has been spot on as well. We used a profession landscape designer (Susan, with creative landscape design) and Fred and his team coordinated with her for all aspects to create an absolute transformation of my yard.
