I went to this Outback branch a while ago but I remember it being worth a good review. Even though the space isn't great - lacking decoration and a little too dark, the food was amazing.
As it was packed we were seated at a table on one of the corners, facing the street. It was a nice spot, but the air con was full-on and it felt a little uncomfortable.
Even though I wasn't in the mood for a steak, I wasn't going to order a salad, not at a steakhouse, so I made up my mind and went for the NY Strip with two sides: sweet potatoes and veggies. My friend ordered the burger with cheese and bacon. I think I made a much better choice than he did. His burger was excellent, the meat cooked to the perfect point, but my combo couldn't get any better: big portion, juicy meat, with just the saltiness I like, bread served on the side, and even got a salad...! You can pick either peppercorn or mushroom sauce but I asked the waiter not to add any sauce so that I could taste the meat properly.
There were no leftovers on my plate. The sweet potatoes and veggies were the best companion to the meat but you can also pick fries or coleslaw as more traditional sides for the steak.
The main takeaway is that meat was excellent in my opinion AND the combo of salad, bread, and the two sides made it for a filling dinner at a very reasonable price. read more
