I have never been to Outback Steakhouse and decided to go check it out. We were seated promptly and greeted by a waiter who's hair was all over his head. While people have the freedom to wear their hair how they want, I believe if you are working in the hospitality industry, there's a certain standard that should be upheld, especially when handling food. Even though the waiter's hair was a bit unsettling, he was very kind and patient. Seeing as though it was my first time, I didnt know what to order. I decided on the 3 course meal that included soup or salad (I chose caesar salad, one of the best I've actually had), an entree (I chose the sirloin and sweet potato, and dessert (I chose raspberry cheese cake). I also ordered a margarita flight that was actually pretty good. While the restaurant wasn't that busy, we were actually served all of our courses at the same time. The courses should have been served one at a time, allowing customers to enjoy their food and allow it to digest before the next course. Because of this mishap, we were given a discount off the total bill. Most of the time people complain about waiting too long for food but in this case, a little wait wouldn't have hurt. Today was my 1st time to visit Outback. Started out ok,we got seated in a corner, wasnt but 3 other tables being used. the waiter seemed friendly. Although took about 5- 8 minutes for him to come to the table. We placed order for some tea, few minutes later showed up, we sat about 10 minutes waiting on him to come take our order,my friend and I ordered a steak dinner, I had it with a sweet potato and a salad. Friend order the same, but had fries. We waited 15 minutes for our order, no salad, he brought our dinner to us, place in front of us, then hurried off. We tried flagging him several times, finally after 10 minutes, got his attention, he came and said what's up, I asked where was the salad, and we needed a refill on tea, should been brought as a appetizer... it came 5 minutes later, very little dressing, tomatoes and other ingredients... the lettuce kinda looked like it was under a heat lamp, already turning brownish, tomatoes was mushy... the sweet potato was mushy as well. The steak had a good flavor, had alot of fat and grizzly. Wasn't worth the price. We spent $85 and some change... all in all WE wasnt satisfied at all.... so much for our 1st time experience, it will most definitely be our last visit there... Came here a little after it opened and got seated immediately as a party of three. Our party ordered the starters with the Aussie Cheese Fries and the Shrimp on the Barbie. The fries were great, the fries themselves were salted nicely and cooked perfectly with a great flavor. Lots of bacon and cheese on top also. The shrimp was good, the seasoning was different than expected but had a little kick of spice to it. We'd definitely get the cheese fries again! For entrees we ordered two center-cut sirloins (lunch special) and the unlimited soup/salad, with a loaded baked potato, house salad, French onion soup. Also got one steak topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms. All of the food was cooked perfectly and so tasty, definitely would get a bigger steak though if we didn't get all the appetizers. Great night at this Outback with the family. Service was outstanding the whole night. Wife had the Filet with Lobster, steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned properly. I took one bite and couldn't look past how rare it was. I sent it back and I got a brand new steak with double broccoli cooked perfectly. My service was very kind and apologetic. Underrated gem. Impeccable service! So many restaurants in this area, and this one stands out because in the two times we have visited, there are never crazy crowds. So it's honestly just a nice place to chill and eat! There is a horseradish-based sauce that is featured on many of their menu items. We have tried it in their steakhouse mac and cheese which was interesting, rather than a boring mac and cheese. It's also in their bloomin onion appetizer, and then tonight it was in the bloomin chicken sandwich. I liked the sandwich but I wish the onion would have been caramelized rather than chopped and raw. The strawberry arugula salad was delightful and light. Lastly, the carrot cake dessert was the perfect sweet treat to wrap up the dinner. It was perfect to share with one other person! Although the filet mignon steak was very tender and tasty, the lobster tail was very small and just overall not with the price. The prices here are not family friendly. My steak (mw) was very chewy and my wife's chicken was dry. The shrimp was pretty good though. The pasta is what made the whole meal just BLEH! My personal rating is 3.4. The TLDR: it's what you would expect from a chain, they have a good server, my medallions looked crappy, literally. The 4th star was only granted because of server. My girlfriend does not like Mayo or mustard so that was a no go for her. Early Saturday dinner should not be this disappointing. The hostess was friendly so there was no problem there. The problems started when we sat down. It took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged. We finally got our drinks and app in. We then needed to ask for a straw and then ask for sweetener for my tea and for small plates. The one good thing was my hubby's beer. It came right away and was cold. We had ordered the Mac and cheese bites and loaded fries came out. We asked for them to bring the correct app. When it came out it was bland. We ordered 3 different cuts of steaks medium and all three steaks came out not medium. We had a medium rare, rare and well done. I had ordered a baked potato but they gave me mashed potatoes. When I told our server he said there are no baked potatoes. Never gave me the choice of a different side. When I tasted my potatoes they were cold. I expected better cuts of steak. My ribeye was grizzly and the New York strip was very tendony where it was hard to cut. It took over an hour to get our food. We were ready to blow that joint by then so we paid and left. When I got home and took out the $142 receipt I noticed that they charged us for the app we didn't order and they took back and did not give us the combo prices. We have visited Outback a few times and have been mostly satisfied. A few times, our service wasn't the best, but it was great last night. We sat at the bar for the first time, and the bar tender was very friendly and efficient. I had the new special drink--Piña Koala--and it was delicious! I also ate the seasonal special of filet medallions and shrimp on the barbie, and I have zero complaints. My spouse orders the baby back ribs, though, and she was pretty disappointed. There was a layer of fat on top of the entire rack, and the meat was just overall low quality. Please do not go here, especially when it's been raining. Their roof leaks. I was there with my husband, we were seated near the bar. There was a bucket on the ledge that separated our table from the next one, I just figured someone had been cleaning and left it there. Until the middle of our meal when a waterfall fell on us from the ceiling. Dirtied us and our meal. The manager apologized but did not comp anything. She stole someone else's Mac and cheese from the window so I could finish what I had been eating. I asked why they would seat us there if they knew the roof was leaking. Her answer? Because it was slow and they had already cut staff for the day and they put us next to the bar so the bartender could serve us to make some more money. I love Outback.
