My son the lawyer took us to a pricey Doylestown steakhouse that I won't name. It's new, trendy, full of poseurs, and frankly, for whatever reason, my son loves to pay more. Much more. When asked what I thought, I told him that the ribeye at Outback was BETTER. We went to Outback for the first time in over 2 years (from the COVID pandemic). It was so nice to be out at a restaurant again! It was also our anniversary and we went for a dinner with our best friend. The three of us ordered steaks. Our waitress was friendly and amazing and the woman who brought out our appetizer (who doesnt love the blooming onions!) was so friendly and all smiles. My husband ordered a steak that was a bit overcooked and the manager immediately came over. She made him a new steak to take home. Great customer service and a very friendly atmosphere! The place is under construction/outdoor removation and it looks just awful, but inside Kiersten treated us well and the basic food was about the best I havve ever had at an Outback (I am not a fan). Luckily I don't frequent outback. My friends and I decided to go around 7:30-8 on a friday night. The teenage hostesses said they were just cleaning off a table for us, and would seat us any second. Well, they ended up (somehow) forgetting to seat us and we eventually got our table. Havnt been here in years, and it appears they got a new menu. I don't like steak so i opted to get a burger instead. I upgraded to a "grass-fed" patty for an upcharge. I'm not sure what's so special about it? It still tasted like a frozen regular patty. We did take out from here when visiting and the steaks were delicious. Good garden salad with nice choice of dressings. They had everything nicely packaged for us and it was ready very quickly. Think we had burgers there once, and the burgers were pretty good. Service was sort of bland. Chick drops off the food and disappeared until it was time to present the check. You would think that a restaurant with steakhouse in the name would mean that their steaks are fabulous. This was not the case however. I ordered mine medium well and my mum ordered hers medium rare and both of ours were very chewy and tough. I would not order a steak from there again. That is my only complaint. The rest of the meal was delicious. I also had mashed potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms which were perfect. My dad got the salmon and enjoyed it immensely. My mum enjoyed her baked potato and vegetables. The server was very nice and proficient. read more

Horrible experience! Food came and couldn't get silverware! Didn't have any. Told sold out of blooming onion but it came out anyway so I hope it was ours. Sent soup back not hot but never got back. Told prime rib could only be served med and above but came out med rare to rare. Ordered 2 ribeye one well one mr cooked correctly but one was very thin and other was very thick? And on check both were same oz. men's room very dirty and no paper and my mom said no latch on her stall in ladies room. Looked like no organization in this place and never was a manger around to talk to. I don't think I will ever forget asking fore silverware and he said we are short on that can I take your order and I said no I just asked you for plates and silverware to eat our app that was sitting in front of us. This had to be the worse meal I have had! We were a party of seven and seating accommodations were limited due to Covid which was fine. We got our drinks and it was like drinking a fruit juice. I really do not think there was any alcohol in any of the drinks. We got a bloom onion as an appetizer which was over cooked and barely edible. The Only side vegetables was broccoli. The salad which was a substitute for broccoli was an up charge. When a guest said they really didn't like broccoli, the waiter did not offer her the substitution of a salad or soup. It was only after everyone ordered that she changed her side to a house salad but received a Cesar salad. Then I got my steak. I ordered it medium. Medium is pink in the center. My steak was grey and overcooked. I brought it to the attention of the waiter and it was replaced by a steak the was medium well, the edges fire burned, not even a good flavor. A good bone in rib-eye does not to be seasoned but this steak, both steaks, had little flavor. The other steaks in our party were ok but they said had no flavor and were fatty. When we were done our meal, the waiter asked us if we wanted dessert. He didn't make suggestions or offer a dessert menu. He just handed us a check for $300. I'll stick to Longhorns or Texas Roadhouse or my own backyard grill for a good steak! read more

Extremely unprofessional and zero customer services. My family came in for my mothers birthday dinner. We were told at the door when we checked "7 and a baby" that it would be about 35 mins... so we sat very patiently for our names to be called... 40 mins later our name was called and as we walked up, the hostess says to us "oh we thought it was 7 including the baby" the table that they made for us would not be able to fit 7 and a baby. They said they needed to re check us in. So again we sat for another 50 mins. (A total of 90mins we sat) This was completely unacceptable, at no point did they touch base with us. Every 15-20 mins we had to check in with them' why we were still waiting. They offered no compensation, no I'm sorry. Have been going here for years. Will Never Ever come back to this location. If you have a party of 5 or more do not come to this location you will be incredibly disappointed!!! *****UPDATE***** (changed from 1 star to 3 stars) At the end of the dinner I requested to speak with the restaurant manager and explained the situation. I feel the restaurant manager was sincere with his apology. After speaking with him he asked for our check and took of 50% off (which is well more then anything we expected). He also gave us his card and welcomed us back, letting us know the ask for him next time we come in. He made sure to keep our future business. Used the new click thru seating. Arrived ten minutes ahead of the scheduled time. TOTALLY USELESS. Arrived to find we would still have a half hour wait. All it appears to be is marketing ploy to get your personal information. So now we stand here in a restaurant that twenty minutes ago had no wait according to their website, waiting with two young kids and no place to sit or stand out of the way waiting for a table that has no shorter wait than others waling in the door behind us. Worthless. After we were seated and ordered, I was told the special I oredered (prime rib and lobster tail) was no longer being offered and would be $5 additional. Waitress could not offer any explanantion as to what changed between the time I ordered and when she came back to inform us.Not Happy at all with this visit. About 85% of the time; our food is delivered wrong! We just ordered tonight, and received my hamburger with NO bun. Also asked for crispy fries and they were soggy beyond belief! Don't order the moonshine jug's there's no booze in it whatsoever for $15 it's a joke The dessert apple pie with ice cream looks delicious on the menu but for $10 you get one golf ball size piece of ice cream and the apples are hard as a rock so if you can't chew don't get it Other than not I think everything was fine Why do we do this to ourselves were here over a half hour and still cannot place our order. Worst service I had to beg to place our order. This place used to be ok. Not sure what happened but over time it got worse and worse. The food was hit or miss the last few times we were there (things forgotten or orders being just flat out wrong). The last time (and the final straw for me) I went in there it smelled terrible. It reeked of chemicals and perhaps sewage? Hard to place it exactly. But either way, my family and I completely lost our appetites after going and couldn't eat. Hate to say it but I didn't enjoy my meal. It has been a while since I've been to Outback. Husband and son liked their filet mignon but I wouldn't recommend the filet medallions. This place was good! We came in for my Grandfathers 80th birthday. We did call ahead seating, so they were prepared for our large group upon arrival. We asked for three high chairs, which weren't brought over until we asked again. My major gripe with this place- they lack the room for large parties or anyone over 4. Their booths are fine, but they literally smoosh tables together so no matter where you're sitting, you're on top of the person you're sitting next to. I'm here for a dinner, not to hear what every person around me is talking about. Anyway. Our server was good, however drinks from the bar were really really weak. It was basically coke with a splash of whiskey. You could drink 15 of them and just have a sugar buzz. Literally no alcohol and for the price you pay for the drinks, they should be stronger. Oh my, what is happened to Outback? Just left up to having dinner there and I could not believe the portion sizes are so small, and even the plates have gotten smaller, and the prices have stayed the same or gotten higher? I got the chicken and rib combo and could not believe the portion sizes. Good thing I wasn't a man, or I would've been so incredibly disappointed, but thankfully the sweet potato was a little bit big, so it helped fill out the plate. Very, very disappointed. The blooming onion is smaller, everyone commented about their portions being small. The only one that wasn't is the crabcakes, but why am I going to steak place to get a crabcake? We used to love this place, but lately, it's not worth the price. Bring back the portion sizes or make the price more reasonable. Not sure if I'm going back, anytime soon. read more

My ribs and chicken combo was skimpy. 3 ribs were tasty, chicken breast way overcooked. Aussie fries soggy and not too hot. Given the long wait, was probably sitting to be picked up. The bad reviews are true. Was originally told 25 minute wait. Then it turned into 45 minutes. When we told them we were told a 25 minute wait, they were like, Well it's 45 minutes now. Watched several families leave. Then we started to notice others that came in after us were getting seated, went to the hostess area and found out they never put us into the wait system. So the device that they gave us to let us know when our table would be ready was basically useless. Asked to see the manager. At first they just wanted to seat us right away. After waiting for about 15 minutes for the manager to show up, she wanted to know what could be done to make it right. At this point we said nothing and we left. The problem is there is no adult supervision. Even the manager was a kid. Don't waste your time going here. Our total wait time was 1 hour and 10 minutes. This place is the worst. read more

The Outback in Jamison is always busy. That puzzles me. It's certainly not because of the uncoordinated service there. Tonight I had everything surrounding my food go wrong. The room was ice cold; the table lacked cutlery; the coffee had no creamers; my entree had two potatoes and my wife's had none. The food? The coconut shrimp were not very large, but okay. My Outback Special steak was a shrunken morsel of its original serving size a few years back, but done exactly as ordered. The potatoes were encrusted with salt to an extreme with mini-monkey cups holding minimal "fixings." The chopped blue cheese pecan salad was ice cold (as I said, the room was ice cold) totally lacking in pecans but instead had Asian noodles for crunch. Did they run out of nuts? Or are they just cheaper? Australia is on the Pacific Rim, correct? read more

Just dined at Outback. The restaurant was extremely busy and the service and food was perfect. We had steaks and salmon. Everything was delicious! Our server, Shannon did a great job! The manager on duty, Lou Seltzer, came over to introduce himself and check on us. He was a very nice gentleman and we appreciated him stopping by to see us. Some people understand customer service and really know how to take good care of customers. Shannon and Lou certainly do. We will surely visit this restaurant again in the very near future.
