I have always enjoyed dining at this Outback Steakhouse because the food is consistently very good. Unfortunately, our experience on August 6, 2026, completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable dinner. Visit Details * Date: August 6, 2026 * Arrival/Order Time: 7:35 PM * Receipt Closed: 8:24 PM * Server: Amani A. * Table: 65 * Check: 0110b-1 * Total: $86.86 The problems started almost immediately. After we had been seated for several minutes, Amani A. approached our table and simply asked what we wanted to drink. There was no greeting, welcome, or introduction. She never asked if we wanted appetizers and instead immediately asked if we were ready to order dinner. We told her we'd wait until after our drinks arrived. When I ordered, I requested mushroom gravy on my potatoes. Amani insisted there was no gravy in the restaurant until I pointed to it on the menu. From that point on, the interaction went downhill. Before bringing the check, we informed Amani that we were Dine Rewards members. She never asked for our phone number to apply the rewards. Instead, she had the hostess remove the tabletop ordering, payment, and survey device from only our table. When I asked Amani why it had been removed, she claimed she was closing her section and all of the devices had been taken away. That was simply not true. The table directly behind us still had theirs, as did several empty tables in the same section. I have photographs proving this. Other issues included: * It took about 20 minutes to receive bread, and only after we asked. * Amani tossed the bread onto the end of the table without saying a word. * She delivered our meals without speaking. * She cleared our plates without speaking. * She was nearly as rude to the table behind us. After several poor interactions, I asked Amani to stop arguing and get a manager. Instead, she turned her back to me and continued arguing with my spouse. When the manager arrived, Amani came with him. I politely told her she did not need to be present while we discussed our concerns. Instead of stepping away, Amani laughed. Rather than addressing my concerns, the manager told me not to speak to his staff that way. I again explained that I simply wanted to speak privately with him. Amani then moved to the table behind us and began clearing dishes that had been sitting there for some time, appearing to remain nearby so she could hear our conversation. After our discussion, both Amani and the manager stood together at the register laughing while we were still seated in the dining room. Whether they were laughing about our complaint or something else, the timing and appearance were extremely unprofessional and made us feel our concerns were not being taken seriously. The manager also claimed there had been issues with the Dine Rewards system all day. If that was true, why was only our tabletop device removed while every surrounding table still had theirs? It certainly created the impression that the device was removed so we could not conveniently complete the survey and provide honest feedback. The food was excellent, as it almost always is, and the kitchen deserves full credit. Unfortunately, great food cannot overcome poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. A server's attitude affects not only one table but everyone around them. Other guests witnessed these interactions, and management sets the example for the entire staff. When rude behavior, dismissive attitudes, and apparent ridicule of customer concerns are tolerated, it reflects poorly on the entire restaurant. I hope Outback management reviews this visit carefully, including Amani A.'s conduct, the removal of our tabletop device, the failure to properly apply our Dine Rewards account, and the manager's handling of our complaint. I also encourage them to review any available security footage, which should verify much of what occurred. The front-of-house staff should be held to the same high standard as the kitchen because both are equally important to the overall dining experience. read more

My family celebrated my eldest son's birthday and Father's Day. We were greeted immediately upon entering. We dove into a Bloomin' onion. It was all gone in no time. My wife and son ordered boned-in ribeye steaks while I ate a New York strip steak. I am happy to review they were very good. Tender and juicy. Salads and baked potato accompanied all orders. We sat in the bar area that had several large TV's. Our waiter was efficient. We left filled and satisfied. Plenty of parking at this Jamison, PA Outback. Credit or cash taken. Anybody else remember when Outback was a good value? I went to this location tonight. On my way home. The salad looked wilted and lifeless. I ordered a steak that looked more like a center cut hoof than an actual fillet. I am a train CHEF and I am well aware of what a center cut fillet looks like compared to the butt or the tail. I mean, you used to be able to go to Outback and get a consistent meal that was decent. I've also been to the one in Horsham recently, and it was equally as disappointing. Had a nice meal here tonight with my family. My bone in new york strip steak was tasty. The bloomin' onion appetizer was delicious. The french onion soup was just ok. My kids each had a burger and seemed happy. My parents had a 15oz ribeye steak that was mostly fat and management quickly got them a new one. I haven't eaten here in years but was craving a Bloomin' Onion and saw it was National Onion Day so I decided it was the perfect time. I used the waitlist on their website to add my name because I didn't know how busy they would be. But we were sat as soon as we arrived. When I looked around there were plenty of tables open so it wasn't necessary. I would still use the waitlist if you go on a weekend or have a larger party. Our server was friendly and attentive. The service was quick. We ordered drinks first, I ordered the Boomarita which is a flight of four Margaritas... Original, Mango, Blackberry and Watermelon. They were okay, they tasted mostly of sour mix. I couldn't tell the difference between the Original and Mango. And the Blackberry tasted more like a Pomegranate-Cranberry mixer. I would probably stick to beer next time. While waiting on drinks to arrive, our server dropped off Bread. It's the best! It comes out warm, it's sweet to taste. Add a dab of salty butter for the perfect bite. Then our Bloomin' Onion arrived. It's not too greasy and the Bloom Sauce has a little spice to it. I ordered a House Salad (with Ranch) as an extra side with my entree because it's one of my favorite menu items. The salad comes out in an ice cold bowl. It was fresh, no wilted greens. It's topped with grape tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, cheese and croutons. I'd recommend a salad if you get the Onion because it's a nice way to refresh your palate. For my entree I ordered Victoria's Filet Mignon. It was cooked perfectly (Medium Rare). You can always ask for some A1 sauce on the side. With any of the steak entrees you choose a potato and a side. For potatoes, you have an option of Mashed, Aussie Fries, Baked or a Sweet Potato. I picked the Homestyle Mashed Potatoes, they were good, on the stiff side. I opted for a premium side, the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese, which is $2 extra. That was good as well. I didn't have room for dessert but I've always liked the "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under". Which is a brownie with vanilla ice cream. I'd suggest saving some room for that, or at least split an order with someone else at your table. It's definitely sharable. After I explained out to make it, they came back and said they didn't have any rye and only two names of bourbon. When I got it was obviously shaken and and a weak tan color and had two cherries on a toothpick. 3. Asked for horseradish sauce on a steak but got just mayonnaise. 4. Carrots were hard. not cooked through in the mixed vegetables. 5. Ordered a filet and got a different cut and sent it back. 6. Desert was ok, but not offered coffee. Never again! Outback is Outback (Which isn't a bad thing!). I love Outback and go frequently. But my trip on March 8th 2022 was standout because of Tammy. She was absolutely positively outstanding! As our hostess was seating us she made a point to wave from across the restaurant and showed her enthusiasm. She then came over and greeted us with equal excitement. Our dinner was timed perfectly and our drinks were kept full. No complaints whatsoever but our experience was over the top simply because Tammy went out of her way to show us she cared and loved her job and she did it perfectly. Many servers do their job well, and sometimes you can tell their happiness is fake, Tammy's passion is 110% genuine. Will be back again and will ask if Tammy is working. read more

We came in on a Sunday night. I had a few rum and Coke's, they definitely didn't 'chince' on the captain. So 5 stars on my cocktail. The rest of the food was great. We all had steaks and fried chicken. The normal sides we had were the mashed potatoes, rice and broccoli, garden salad, and soup plus the bread. We were all pleased with the food. We had several gift cards to use so decided to try this Outback, despite reading a lot of bad reviews, which seemed to be more for the service than the food. Since we were getting take-out we hoped for the best. We were pleasantly surprised. Both times we got ribs and salmon and they were good. They were cooked correctly and tasted good. The sides we tried were tasty too--mashed potatoes, sweet potato, baked potato, French fries and the broccoli was ok but bland. We got a loaf of bread and butter to go with it. The only complaint I had was the first time we ordered over the phone, whoever took our order was a little rude, and would not take the gift card number over the phone. That pretty much defeats the whole purpose of take-out and curbside pickup, since you have to go inside to use the gift card. The next time the woman who took our order was pleasant but also told us to go inside with the gift card when we got there. Is there some reason they can't take the gift card information over the phone? You can use a credit card with a phone order, so what's the difference? But not as often as we used to, however...our steak temperatures are often inaccurate and it has been quite frustrating the past few visits....but I give this restaurant alot of credit...the manager ALWAYS comes out and makes sure that everything turns out ok after we send the mistakes back...class act!! Today our dinners were perfect! They ran out of Ceasar salads tonight, so we settled for the house salads which were good! The boyfriend had the prime rib which came out to a perfect medium. My rib eye also came out to a perfect medium..both were juicy and delicious!! Pop Pop had the tilapia.."delicious.." I recently went here for dinner with my family for Easter. We were seated right away by the manger who was super kind and told us his name and let us know if we needed anything at all to ask him. Our waitress was equally nice, very sweet, gave us the time we needed to make decisions while still checking on us and was equally as nice as the manager. This experience was much better - but I will preface the remainder of the review by saying my diet has changed a lot since eating here before therefore my food tastes have also changed significantly. My family ordered an appetizer which I didn't eat but they all devoured. I ordered the 6 Oz sirloin with grilled shrimp, sweet potato (dressed), and broccoli. The steak was cooked perfectly - medium as I had asked not over cooked in the slightest! It was a little peppery though. The shrimp was the best part , perfectly seasoned and easy to eat. The shrimp addition comes with 4 shrimp. The broccoli was good, very tender but too salty for my current tastes, but not for the rest of my family. The sweet potato was the only blah part - it was way over cooked mushy and tasted water logged. Aside from that he rest of my meal was good. My family got dessert, I did not, but the dessert looked very yummy and it was a fairly large portion! If you like Steak it's a good place. The meat quality and prep is very good. I don't really eat at many sit down chain restaurants anymore but it was a good overall experience and the staff was super pleasant ! I recently had a really good experience here and am now of the thought that Outback deserves a little more respect! In terms of chain restaurants, I think outback gives you the most for your money. Drinks aren't outrageously expensive, and the food is worth it. Speaking of the food, their wedge salad is everything. Definitely a must for me whenever I'm at outback. I ordered a ribeye with the garlic butter which was cooked perfectly. Also, the unlimited shrimp for only $10 is the best deal in town. The only hiccup we had was when my dining companion asked for mashed potatoes and was told it would take twenty minutes? Kind of weird. But outback made it right by giving us a free onion and mashed potatoes to take home. Our server Rudy was very attentive and friendly. My parents, my husband, and I came here on Father's Day hoping for a nice meal as a family. Unfortunately, that's not what happened! We haven't been back to this Outback in a while, because the last time, the service was terrible. But, we wanted to give it another shot. We didn't have to wait long (hooray!) but when we were seated, our server came over and started complaining about how long of a day he had. Not a great first impression...OK dude, many of us have worked in the restaurant industry and have had long days, but rule #1 is not to complain about that to the customer. I digress... We put in our orders, and my mom ordered a drink. We ordered a bloomin onion for the table. Thankfully, the appetizer didn't take long to come - it was the only good thing about the meal. My mom's drink was extremely watered down (she's a lightweight, so for her to say that, it must have been bad!). Our server never came back to offer us more bread...which is one of my favorite things at Outback! Sigh. 45 minutes later, we were wondering where our food was. A manager came over and apologized for the wait...our server was MIA. We said that it was fine and that we understood. He offered us 15% off. All of the tables around us had been served about 20 minutes prior, even though they were seated after us. 20 minutes later, our food finally came. It was cold. My dad's steak was rock solid and it was apparent that it had been sitting out for some time. My husband's food was lukewarm, and my mom and I ordered salads with shrimp...and the shrimp wasn't hot. We had to send it back to be reheated. We NEVER send food back, so it was really bad :( Our server rushed out to talk about how it wasn't his fault and deflected the blame to the kitchen. Again...not the right thing to say to the customer, especially when the food was cold and he hadn't shown his face the entire time. The manager came back out and personally brought our entrees back. He was genuinely apologetic, we again said that we understood. His professionalism was the only redeeming factor the entire evening. I hated the salad. It was bland and not worth the hefty price tag. By the end of the meal, we had been there for over two hours. This was disappointing because it was quite late and we had hoped to spend some quality time with my parents at their house afterwards to celebrate the day, but that didn't happen. Since this wasn't the first time that Outback's service (and food) have been a total joke, I will never come back. I'm not going to sit for two hours at an Outback...seriously. Hmm...what has happened to Outback? The quality of meat and even fish is just not the same as I remember. Steak was very tough...you could see it was going to be tough as it was placed in front of us. Maybe there are just too many Outbacks. And the prices have crept up...which are now "almost" in line with more upscale restaurants. The irresistible black bread with the whipped butter is now very resistible...even that tasted stale. It use to be served piping hot. Salads have gotten scrawny as if they are made way ahead of time. Food just seems like it is more in line with a high school cafeteria or the dreaded hospital food. The cost of our meal was out of line with quality and portion size. Service was very good and Manager was very kind...which is the reason for two stars and not one. But unfortunately we crossed this restaurant off our list and we don't recommend. read more

Food was good, but experience was ruined by our waitress and manager. We paid with two gift cards and cash and our cash did not appear on our final check and we were overcharged. When trying to resolve the issue, we were forced to wait an additional 30 minutes while the manager tried to figure out how to void the first charge. Staff was dismissive and unapologetic for their mistake. Also, our waitress charged us for an additional item on the menu, admitted to her mistake, but only took the charge off once we said something about it.
