Waitress never offered us any refills nor restocked on bread the entire time we were there. When we received our drinks, straws were never handed. The waitress only visited our table twice, not even exaggerating. I will say that the waitress was nice whenever she visited. The food was good, though! read more

Thankfully the have wifi, a great Caesar salad and cold beer. Beyond that we're gonna need to work on it. Came in for lunch and got the 6 oz sirloin and baked spud. Steak was minuscule and my spud tasted like it had been baked last week and reheated several times. My biggest pet peeve with steak places is when the mess up the free throw baked potato. How?!? Bake, serve hot and fresh and top as requested. Looks like they need some help in the kitchen. Will have to move them to the side until they get some of these food quality issues addressed. The food was good but the coconut shrimp were smaller than I expected. The Asparagus was delicious. The mac-n-cheese was so creamy and still good as leftovers the next day. I highly recommend the lobster also. The waiter was very nice and I enjoy the ambiance. read more

This is a chain restaurant we all know what to expect . Very average food. But if you want a steak and are afraid to do it yourself then go. The blooming onion was nice but it does not travel. I brought one home and tried to reheat had to throw out. So eat your blooming onion there. The steaks are maybe select they are not like the choice I buy at the market. They are ok but quality makes a difference. I had a burger. It was good but can get better ones closer to home that are made from scratch. Loud. Went to a group lunch with approximately 20 people. They assigned us two servers, which I felt was inadequate. One took the orders and the other distributed beverages. There were numerous mixups of drinks and this was a mess. My wife had to ask several times for her beverage. We had to ask for lemon wedges several times. The server taking food orders was pretty good but I felt it took far too long to get the orders completed. There should have been at least one more server. Food was average . One of our friends complained about how tough her sirloin steak was. My food, the Queensland Shrimp and chicken with pasta was good but my wife rated her food a 3 out of 5 . On January 3, 2026 approximately 230pm was seated promptly then we waited, no one asked what we were drinking. Then we waited, and waited and waited for 40 minutes. It appeared there were 3 servers, doing nothing , not many people in the restaurant. We were ignored until we stood up and left. The place is COVERED in mold and mildew. We had to move tables because the ceiling was leaking on someone and they made up for it by giving us two free appetizers. Our server was nice but all of the tables around use were cover in drops of water and the guy seating everyone just kept putting more and more people under the leaking roof. There was even water in the salt grinders so nothing was coming out. No restaurant with holes in the ceiling, mold, warped walls and floors should be open. I went with some friends and my sister on November 21,2024. I got the New York steak, and I told the waitress for well done steak. When I get the food from the kitchen it's cold for the sweet potato and fries was cold. The steak wasn't cooked. It was very pink inside. I had to wait almost 20 mins for the waitress to come take this steam back and recook it. Which wasn't cooked. The food was so horrible. Then when I went pay. The waitress took soooo long to take the money to get paid for my meal. I don't recommend this place for steak. Go to Texas road house. They do a better job than Outback. My ribeye had too much silver-skin caused uneven cooking and a less enjoyable eating experience. Removing silver skin before cooking enhances the tenderness and overall texture of the steak. A steak you toss on the hot grill with the silver-skin left on will be pretty darn tough. Also, it was way too salty and every bite tasted as if a spoonful of salt covered the meat. The two best foods we tasted and enjoyed were the cold & crisp salad and the carrot cake. The Outback sucked bad today!!! The Pit Stop 2 had good food but the new restaurant that took its place is way better by far! The new owners did a complete overhaul of the building and all new appliances. Very clean establishment and the menu is on point! My go to spot late nights in Houma! read more

We haven't been to Outback in a while and now I remember why. Terrible service, mediocre food. Waited for our food for an hour and when we finally did get our food, the steaks were cold. It seemed like more of their staff was standing around talking and laughing than working. I hate to give Outback as a whole a bad review, but this location definitely needs to improve. read more

My mother and I come to this outback location pretty frequently, my mom goes there more than I do , normally there really isn't any problems but for some reason today, the waitress seemed to have a nasty spiteful attitude about her, every time my mom has this particular waitress she always ends up having a really bad experience, all the other times she never has an issue, but every time I go with her and she has this waitress, I always have to watch my mom leave the restaurant in disappointment for poor service, she orders her food which any other times we go she get her food in a reasonable amount of time, no complaints, the food is always delicious but the whole experience is ruined when you have a waitress or waiter that makes your experience a bad one. I would just like to remind any exployees, servers, you have the ability to brighten someone's day just by giving them great customer service, we are there to support the business that you are representing, I don't think your employer would appreciate you being the reason that they lose money. Again, it's not always horrible we go there a lot, but one person giving poor service can change or make someone change their minds about going to the restaurant because they don't want to end up with you as their server. read more

Today was my reminder why I haven't been here in 12 years. The restaurant was almost empty but it took the bartender 20 minutes to make a JD&C, our drinks came to us at the same time as food did. This was a good experience for me. I got the bone in Ribeye. At first try was under cooked. My waitress was great. Oh how disappointing!!!! We have been going to Outback for years and years. Tonight was the last straw!!!! We checked in at 5:30, party of two. No longer can seat first come first serve at bar booths, which was the first of the disappointments. Then, we were told 45 minutes and after two drinks at bar and an hour later we left. I understand the shortage of workers and have been very patient, but when told that the staffing shortage is due to not bringing staff in until 6:30 ON A SATURDAY NIGHT????!!!!! Came in for the first time since Hurricane Ida. We were instantly greeted when we walked in. Jez was a phenomenal server and was very knowledgeable on the menu. Josh, Devin, Bentlee, and Kacey checked in on us throughout our meal. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The managers and servers were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed before we could even think to ask. Disappointed with how several things have changed on the menu. Our favorite use to be the toowoomba pasta but now we don't even think about ordering. The last few times we've tried the potato soup and it has been too salty and the onions were too much it wasn't as thick as usual. The steak and salad is still good. read more

Hit and miss. When they're good they're really good since their menu has basically delicious food. The problem is their execution as there are times when nothing, from drinks to the meals are prepared well. On our last visit we got their famous 'bloomin' onion' which is usually very good, but this time was very over fried on one side with some raw batter on the rest. My wife ordered a 6oz. steak, medium well done, it was brought well, well done...okay, she could have laced it up and wore it as a sandal. I ordered a dressed baked potato, it came out with only butter and sour cream, although I brought it to the server's attention and a dressed one was brought right out. I don't go there very often, about once every two months, but every time we go there's an all different staff and I imagine this must include the cooks. They do try to make things right if you complain but they're just not very consistent. To me, you shouldn't have to always complain, food should be brought out right each and every visit. I don't expect perfection, just my money's worth, after all they're not cheap. Their prices have gone up and their portions have gotten smaller, my wife's iced tea, $2.99 and the Bloomin' Onion, $9.99! It's hard to find steak for under $17, you can buy a lot of meat for that and do it yourself at home. I'm always seeing great commercials but what you get isn't as advertised. I just hope they get things right because if this inconsistency keeps up we'll just quit going to this location and from what I hear, Outback needs the customers. **Update 7/6/19** One of the managers, Casey, called me this afternoon and was completely flabbergasted after telling her about our night. She was at a loss for words and told me she could not apologise enough and that the situation would be dealt with. She knew what table we were at, the exact times we were there, who our server was, our reservation and the Birthday indication, and she told me she had already had multiple conversations with various employees. I gave her a detailed account of our experience and she was extremely apologetic and appreciative of the feedback. She assured me she would have a very lengthy and intense conversation with the server. She invited us to go back and promised she'd take care of our entire meal, whatever we wanted. I talked to Michael about it when he got home and asked what he wanted to do, since it was his birthday. He said he really loved the food and if they're willing to try to make it right, then we will give them that opportunity. We made reservations tonight for 7pm. Casey came out to speak to us right when we got there and sat us at a table with Sasha (pronounced "Saysha"). She and the waitress checked on us multiple times and we had a wonderful experience. I truly hope this is the norm going forward. The food was amazing as always and we had a great time. Blake was there again tonight and he remembered us, as well as the conversation we had with him the first time we went. Kudos, Outback for trying to make it right. If anything, you've earned our respect. We made reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday tomorrow. We were seated pretty quickly. Hostess was pretty friendly. From there, everything went downhill. The waiter came to our table, we got our drinks. When it came to order, we asked for the Aussie fries, gluten free (which they much obliged last visit). The waiter (Ben) attempted to make a joke about it, which was very distasteful. I guess glutenfree and celiacdisease or any other types of allergens are funny to OutbackSteakhouse. Strike #1. After a lengthy amount of time, waiter came back and said he "asked around the kitchen" and gave us a BS answer of how the fries have a "coating" on them. False. We had no silverware at the table. Had to ask a server while they were passing. Cool. It happens. #SweetTea refills were watered down like it had been sitting in the pitcher for hours. AN HOUR AND 15 mins later, after all of the tables that were seated after us finished their meal, we were sitting there. With no food. Waiter consistently refilled others' drinks, brought out their food, even managers went to other tables to ask about their experience. We were completely skipped over. After an exact hour of waiting, the waiter comes back and says "it'll be a little longer." When we reached the hour and a half mark that we had been sitting there, we walked out. We were so excited when we saw that they offered a FULL gluten free menu. Sure, the food is good, but arriving at 730, with reservations and a note on the reservation indicating a Birthday was being celebrated, until 9:00 pm with no food and crappy service? The restaurant wasn't at all busy and there were several employees just standing around without tables to serve. Our waiter had a total of two tables. Not empressed st all!!!! This staff was horrible and the food was horrible. We ordered an appetizer of an onion mum and they brought out the food but we had never had an appetizer. The waiter stated we did not order an appetizer. We both heard him say when we ordered it " i'll put that in right now. " Waited forever for bread. I ordered one of the most expensive steaks on the menu, the filet mignon. I requested it to be medium but when it came out it was medium well.
