I haven't been to an Outback in years so I wasn't sure what to expect given the low reviews. Service: I'm glad I came in with an open mind because (Jen?) blew us away with 5 star service. I haven't had a server be so attentive, personable and fun in a very long time. Drinks: We ordered two drinks, strawberry kiwi-rita and the piña koala, which were really good. The pineapple cocktail came in a martini glass which I was not expecting and no ice so be warned if that's not your cup of tea. I'd recommend the strawberry-kiwi-rita for a refreshing and not too sweet cocktail. 4/5 Food: We chose the shrimp for starters (a generous portion!) and probably shouldn't have because I forgot the portions here are quite generous in size. For main, I chose the salmon (which came with shrimp and mushrooms in a creamy sauce) which was done to perfection. There was definitely a shortage of servers but our server worked her heart out, provided superior service, and ensured our dining experience was a good one. Something I didn't know...you can get a smaller version of the Blooming onion! It is onion petals and it satisfied our desire to have a little bit of our favorite appetizer! We ordered the "Blooming Onion," as an appetizer, and it was cooked/fried, perfectly, lol, gone in minutes between the four of us, served with their special dipping sauce. The dark, pumpernickel, hot bread, was also served quickly before the appetizer was served, and it was scrumptious, just like our steaks! The tables were clean & and our servicer was nice & speedy. The $7.00 cocktails were a fair price, but had close to no alcohol in them. (In the choices of beverages, we should have opted with the free sodas, included with those two specials. On the other hand one of us opted for the beer special, and it was delish for a 5.00 price tag. All and all, we highly recommend this Outback & will be going back. read more

Let me tell you about my new obsession! First, I'll give you a brief background to describe how this restaurant used to be. My husband & I liked Outback. We considered it to be about average & went occasionally. Fast forward to January 2026. Two weeks ago, we order from Outback to have out dinner delivered. The food was cold when we got it, but I don't really fault the restaurant for that. We live 8 miles away from the restaurant & the food was being delivered by a delivery service, so we knew that the person would be delivering other meals besides our own. Despite the food needing to be reheated, the taste was delicious. I got the Victoria Filet, which is what I order most often. The meat was incredibly tender & it was seasoned to perfection. I ordered a baked potato & garden salad along with the steak. They were also very good. I wrote review mentioning that the food was cold, but also said how delicious it was. The food was so noticeably better, that I thought it was important to mention that. I received a personal response from someone who I believed was the own. She apologized for the cold food, which was a completely unexpected & I thought, an incredibly nice thing to do. I found that to be really impressive. Our food was so delicious that the following week we decided to order from Outback again. We again ordered delivery, fully expecting that the food would be cold because of the distance & that we were not the only people receiving a delivery & that our food was likely to be in a car longer than it might ordinarily be. My husband wanted a Bloomin Onion. He'd wanted one the week before, but I expected it would arrive cold, soggy & unappetizing, so I ordered something else. The second time we ordered, I went ahead & ordered the Bloomin Onion & it arrived as expected. In my experience fried foods just never travel very well. They get cold & soggy & this bloomin Onion was no exception. I really do believe that there has to be a way to transport fried items & have them remain crispy after the trip. I'm thinking that delivering them in a paper bag might be part of a first step. Enclosing fried foods in plastic containers seems to cause them to become soggy because the container holds onto the the moisture that's produced by fried foods & allows it to condense onto the food, making it soggy. Of course, preventing leakage is the likely reason for using a plastic container in the first place. Maybe someone can come up with alternative packaging for fried foods. So, except for the Bloomin Onion, the food was again delicious, though cold. My husband got the salmon, which he said was really outstanding. I again got the Victoria Filet, which was every bit as good as it had been the week before. So, yesterday was my birthday & we decided to go out for dinner. I wanted more of that Outback steak, so we went to Outback Steakhouse. I ordered French Onion Soup as an appetizer. It was delicious. I'm fussy about French Onion Soup & this certainly met my expectations. It had an intense beef & onion flavor & was served with a perfect crock-sized crouton & was covered with what I believe was Gouda cheese. Dinner was my favorite Victoria Filet, in the 9 oz size so I could have half for dinner & the other half for lunch or dinner the following day. This is something I usually do when going to restaurants, order the larger size entree, if available, immediately split it in half & package it to take home & then enjoy the other half at the restaurant. Since I ordered the extra soup, half of that was packaged to go home, too. Everything was delicious. The soup was very good. The salad was crisp, fresh, cold & delicious with the Ranch dressing. The steak was seasoned & cooked to perfection, the baked potatoes with butter, as ordered. I didn't realize my husband had told the waitress that it was my birthday, but at the end of the meal, a bunch of waitresses & waiters sang happy birthday & brought me a hot fudge Sundae. I know a lot of restaurants do this to celebrate patrons, but it was unexpected & something I'd never experienced before. It was fun, and a little embarrassing, but nice. Other customers wished me a happy birthday as they left the restaurant while we were still eating. I was really nice. Our waitress was really outstanding. She was very sweet & very attentive & helpful throughout our meal. I asked her if they'd recently gotten a new cook & she confirmed they had. She said that the restaurant was under new management & that the owner did all of the cooking. The change is noticeable in a in a profoundly positive way. We've eaten Outback food three time in the last two weeks. It had probably been at least a year since we'd eaten here prior to this. I encourage everyone to go & experience the New Outback. We ordered curbside pickup and parked directly in front of the To-Go entrance, clearly visible to the employees. After receiving the "ready" text, we followed instructions and waited 9 full minutes past the promised time, watching multiple staff members stand around talking and ignoring the pickup window entirely. One employee even was staring directly at us. When my partner finally went inside, our food was already sitting there, and the employee that had been watching us had the audacity to say, "There's no fing cars in the To-Go, this is bullsh!t" as my partner was walking through the door; as we sat parked right in front of the pickup window. We weren't the only ones. Every single curbside customer had to go inside because no one was doing their job. This wasn't just bad service -- it was complete disregard for paying customers. And the kicker? I tipped in advance, out of respect for service workers. I just wish that respect had gone both ways. Usually have no issues at this location, but the last two times we've tried to have a date night, our food gets left out. The only reason that I am going to give this restaurant 3 stars , was because my steak was cooked perfectly but it was seasoned well. Salt and pepper is not hard to put , before and after cooking a piece of meat. Plus, the dessert was great. You will need a whole roll of paper towel just to suck all that oil in. They need to up their game for the prices that they charge their consumers. There are a ton of restaurants that has steak. The other night, my husband and I decided that we'd like to go out for a steak dinner. Walking in, the host stated that it would be about a 25 minute wait. He wasn't too off; we waited 30 minutes for a seat. While waiting, a young gentleman brought around samplers and apologized for the wait. First it was blooming onions, then stuffed mushrooms and some spicy shrimp. I didn't mind the wait, but the place had multitudes of tables open when I went to the restroom, so I didn't understand it. The only thing I could think of, was that they were short staffed and didn't have enough waiters/waitresses in ratio to tables. Either way, we were seated in just 30 minutes at a booth near a window. A waitress, Yasmeen, came over and appeared eager and friendly at first. My husband and I were fully prepared to order after our 30 minute wait time, as we generally are when we have a wait. We both ordered water with lemon and the "loaded bloom", which was a new menu item from the specials. It was the best of both worlds...loaded Aussie fries with a blooming onion on top of it. It is served with ranch for the Aussie cheese fries and the blooming onion sauce. For our entree, we'd be splitting the Porterhouse medium well (just a little pink), with mixed grilled veggies and a side salad. When I asked the waitress what the mixed veggies were, she said "broccoli". I said, "Okay, well what is the seasonal vegetable then?" She said, "broccoli". She noticed her mishap and said, "Oh! The mixed veggies is broccoli, carrots and squash". We went with that. She also brought out a loaf of bread that was so hot and fresh, we were expecting a good night at the Outback. We finished our bread pretty quickly. I've eaten at Outback's across the States many, many times. Waitresses always ask if we'd like more bread when they return and see that it's gone; especially if it's gone very quickly. Instead, Yasmeen came and grabbed the bread board and left saying nothing...not offering extra bread or saying a word. I found that odd, but left it as is, until the rest of the night continued to be more of the same. The appetizer didn't take long to come out, and she dropped it off and walked away. It was very crispy...and when I say crispy, I mean burnt. The fries were so hard, they tasted like they had been cooked and overcooked multiple times. The cheese was clumped and hard. Since she didn't come back to check on us, we sat there and ate it. She never once asked us how it was. We were prepared to tell her the cook cooked the heck out of it. In the meantime, I was due for a water refill. She checked on the table behind us several times, but continuously walked past our table without stopping. Finally, I asked her if I could get a refill on my ice water, which was so obviously empty. I hate to have to stop a waitress and request a refill. I feel like that should be a given; especially since we hadn't even got our entree yet. She brought out more water, but no lemon. I then had to ask for more lemon. The entree took forever to come out; it literally took an hour from the time we were seated to get it (yes we timed our experience). Our waitress hadn't brought it, but someone else from the back. Nobody had us cut into our steak to see if it was done to our liking. Expecting that our waitress would be by soon, since she was assisting the table behind us, I took a couple of photos for Yelp as I always do, and waited. The steak looked delicious! Cutting into it however, it was bleeding and raw; especially near the bone. It wasn't medium well, but more like medium rare. I waited, looking around for our waitress, who was now no where to be seen. At least 10 minutes had passed and still nothing. Even if our steak had been made to our liking, I would have liked some A1 steak sauce, which is not provided on the tables, but she again, never came to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. By now I was clearly upset. Our appetizer was horrid...burnt and overcooked, my water was not being refilled on this hot summer night, we weren't asked if we'd like more bread and now our steak was not prepared correctly. At this point, I hadn't even checked the vegetables. I saw the host seating new people and requested a manager. JT came over immediately. I explained the situation to him. He took it to the back and they made it better. It still wasn't right, it was now just 'well done', but at least it wasn't 'mooing'. He pulled up a seat and had us cut into it. We said we were good. The vegetables were completely raw. I mean, the carrot was cold and when I crunched into it, it was so hard that it tasted like they sliced it and served it. Whatever! The night was ruined. We go out to dinner for the experience, and Yasmeen solely ruined that experience from her lack of professionalism. 2 stars because JT did comp the steak. My husband and I ordered the Aussie 2-Course Meal today and I was anticipating a good meal. Our salads were good and my husband's meal was too. We both ordered the 8 oz center cut sirloin steaks. His well done steak arrived as ordered. My medium-well was rare. I showed it to our waitress and she offered to take it back for more cooking. She said I could eat my baked potato while I waited for my steak. I told her I was had planned to eat them together so she said she would bring a fresh potato with my steak. The manager brought my re-cooked steak and had me cut it to ensure it was right. Luckily it was. She also brought a fresh potato. My husband told me I should just order my steak well done since I've had the same problem the last few times I've ordered steak at a restaurant. I feel like I should be able to order my steak the way I like it and have it cooked correctly - especially at a steakhouse!! Then we asked for our cheesecake to-go, but another waitress brought it out to eat there. So I asked for boxes and boxed it myself. Sadly, service is just bad everywhere. But I was really disappointed this time. My husband had finished his meal before my steak was returned to me. So again, a disappointing dining experience. My significant other and I usually stop here in our way back down from a trip to Washington, D.C. Every tine we've gone, we have received excellent service and good food!! Expect to wait for at least 20 min on a weekend (Friday or Saturday night). The food & service will be worth the wait!!
