We would have never thought that walking into an Outback restaurant would be a horrible experience but it was. We were shopping in Bolingbrook and decided to grab dinner. It was 8:15 pm so there weren't many people there . The restaurant definitely needs some maintenance inside but the worst part, the restaurant was truly just filthy. They sat us at a table that was sticky, gave us menus that were sticky and the floor literally had napkins, French fries, straws food all over it and quite a few of the tables had dirty dishes on them The carpet was filthy and there was an odd smell. We waited at the table for about 10 minutes and when no one came over, we left, not because we were tired of waiting but because the more we looked around the more uncomfortable we became about eating there because we had our doubts about how clean the kitchen was. We have eaten at many Outback restaurant chains in different states and you can always count on a clean, great food experience but definitely not the case in the Bolingbrook mall location as far as a clean restaurant read more

Didn't have a reservation just walked it and it wasn't that busy. We got seated right away and helped right away. Drinks came quick and bread too. Overall it was a clean environment and all workers seemed to be paying attention to detail around the restaurant. Appetizer: Two cesar salads. They were okay, the dressing was pretty overpowering and there was just a lot of it where it wasn't that enjoyable. Oh SO disappointed! Having dined at this Outback in the past I was expecting a similar experience. Not so. "Daniel" was our server on Easter Sunday. While he might have been assigned too many tables, upon our 11:30AM arrival the restaurant wasn't busy. After being seated I ordered Blooming Onion" to be added to my bill, not our tablemates. After than Daniel ignored us for a lengthy period. Finally I stopped him so I could order a glass of Pinto Noir. The Blooming Onion finally arrived, the table enjoyed it. Still Daniel did not approach the table to take our luncheon orders! Those having iced tea had to flag him down to get a refill. Upon receiving our checks I found the Blooming Onion wasn't on my bill, rather on my friends. (I gave him a twenty dollar bill, he gave me a ten and we were close to even.) The manager at this location is absolutely terrible and completely lacks customer service. I ordered a salad and when it came back it had definite mold in it. The manager was notified and tried to tell me the cook said it was tiny pieces of towel from the back it "accidentally" rolled onto the food.. like what??? not only did he not compensate any of the bill he also didn't seem to care at all. I literally had to ask him to do something and all he did was offer us $ off at our NEXT visit. I will never be going back simply do to how the manager handled the situation. It's been years and years since we've been back to an Outback - mostly b/c we lived in the city and weren't close to one. We tried this Outback last night and we were quite impressed. First off - we got two blackberry martinis - they were delicious. And I'm sorry - to go from extremely high prices in the city to $7 martinis made them taste even better. We both started with a cup of their chili. It's marked as spicy and it was spicy. Thank you, Outback for actually being spicy, too! My husband commented that he would have gotten the chili as his meal if given the chance. It was one of the best chili's we've had in years. I then got the Crispy Blooming Sandwich and he got the Blooming Chicken meal. Pretty much the same thing - but one was a sandwich and one was not. We loved both of the dishes. The spicy pickles on my sandwich really added to the appeal. The fries were also tasty. Why I mention them? B/c at the last restaurant I ate at, they were so bland. These were really good in comparison. The place was quite crowded - yes it was a Saturday night, but it was frigid and snowy out. I would come here only for the soup and Aussie cheese fries , I had the chicken and shrimp pasta and it was OK. It wasn't worth the price , it's something you can make at home but probably better, since the nest they use is cheap .. They just charge you a lot .. don't get the pastas there ! I thought it was kind of like a steak you'd make at home. Fair prices, and $7 drinks all the time. The margarita wasn't very strong but tasted good. We shared an 18 oz. Ribeye and each had onion soup. Sides are included. So for about $70 we had two drinks, iced tea, two soups, and the sides. I have ordered twice from this location within three months. I have ordered my steak cooked the same way both times - medium well. Neither time was the steak cooked medium well. At a STEAK HOUSE. Not sure how they train their cooks in regards to steak or if they do to begin with - but at least have a standard on how to cook a steak. I haven't had Outback Steakhouse for a few years, but I can't remember having a bad experience! When I first walked in, the hostess seemed a bit uninterested in talking to us. The manager (I believe) came around and was extremely friendly and welcoming so it was nice to have someone more concerned with our presence. We were seated right away. Our server came around quickly, and got our orders in right away! He was amazing all around. He made sure our drinks were filled and that we were satisfied with our food, even though he was very busy. We had the bloomin' onion to start which is always crispy, hot, and delicious! For the main course i ordered the sirloin with a side of coconut shrimp. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and I was really happy to see that the coconut shrimp were huge and not just full of breading! I will say, I was not a huge fan of the sauce that came with the coconut shrimp. It was very overpowering, and just not my cup of tea. The shrimp themselves were very good though!
