We haven't been here for years, and my son wanted to try it. We went for dinner one night after an appointment. They looked fairly busy, and our server was very sporadic to get a hold of. The first blooming onion that we received tasted burnt, and our server immediately let us know that she would not be able to remove it from the bill. I didn't like that answer and requested a new one. My steak was cooked like I wanted, and asparagus was cooked/tasted perfect. Can't beat loaded mashed potatoes as your second side. Overall was a good experience, but you can tell the restaurant was older and somewhat rundown.

Just had an excellent dinner at Outback in Bellevue. Service was very good. They checked in periodically, were happy to serve you, and many people checked in which was great to have. My wife and I split the Boom A Rita which is 4 of their mini margs and all of them were incredible. The flavors were original, watermelon, mango, and one more I cannot remember haha. I highly recommend getting these if you are a fan of margs. Our appetizer was the Blooming Onion which obviously was incredible. My entree was steak with bloomin fried chicken. The steak was cooked correctly but was seasoned a little on the spicy side. The fried chicken was great. It was juicy with a bit of heat which was enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

Always forget how great Outback is, and this Bellevue location is always on point. Our service was great, food was all correct and came out quick and hot! The restaurant is modern and well kept up! Complimentary parking out front. We have always been able to walk in and get seated but it is always just about half full! We got the margarita flight to share, which is a STEAL for $10, my husband wanted to try the Outback brewed beer but sadly they were out, but no biggie. We of course got a bloomin onion and it was yummy as always!

We had not been to an Outback Steakhouse for 10+ years since we were living overseas. Our youngest son was intrigued so we decided to stop by one night for dinner. The restaurant was somewhat busy, but we were seated immediately. You could tell our server was busy because she rushed through drink orders and quickly disappeared. I went with my usual Alice Springs chicken, baked potato, and Caesar salad. My husband and son went with steaks. The first thing we wanted to try was the blooming onion, You could tell the oil needed to be changed or it was overcooked because it was very crisp and tasted burnt. Our server immediately let us know that she would not be able to take it off our bill, which was not what we asked for, but I requested a new one. We received a replacement very quickly that was cooked perfectly. My Caesar salad tasted pretty good. When our food arrived, I noticed immediately that my order was incorrect. The boys steaks were cooked perfectly, but my Alice Springs chicken was just seasoned chicken with nothing else. I waited three or four minutes to get the correct order, but I think I just received the seasoned chicken with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese thrown on it quickly. The chicken was kind of dried out, so it was disappointing when I'd waited over 10+ years to have my heart set on something. We had to quickly talk to the server because she was in and out so quickly that we had to be ready to relay what we wanted before she walked away. Overall, it was not the bestexperience, but I'm going to try again in the hopes of having a better time.

Spacious seating, friendly staff, quick service, $7 drink specials every day. Everything on the menu we ordered was delicious. I especially liked the baked potatoes with.rock salt on the skin. My spicy mango margarita was delicious with a good kick to it! I plan to come back for their lunch specials.

We stopped in Saturday evening, mostly to feed my kids. I'm not sure what they put in the kids menu burger but it was spicy. Our blooming onion tasted like it maybe sat in the grease a little too long, the ends were burned as well. Margarita was fine, salad was good but the plates to go with the appetizer had finger smudges all over them.

The Drover, a review:…read more When you pull into the parking lot the outside of the place appears very unassuming. Once you walk-in, the modest decor gets even more humbling. It's a very old school, western, and rustic type of vibe. There's a sense of rugged individualism, resilience, and Western identity. Cowboys are a big part of the theme here, hence the brand name, The Drover. Various murals of impersonations of these vaqueros plaster the walls. The lounge area gives off old mafia movie feels, as you can picture how it could be filled with clouds of cigar smoke as mafioso Capos & soldiers belly-up to the dark bar sipping on their Scotch. Once the drinks start flowing and you get relaxed then the magic starts! You won't be disappointed in the Old Fashioned, or any other type of cocktail for that matter. The fresh baked bread comes out first with a significant portion of spread butter, which is absolutely delicious! Then you realize, that this place actually still has an old school salad bar. Like as soon as I seen the salad bar with all the fixings and the homemade Thousand Island dressing, I was hooked! Finding an open buffet style salad bar these days is as rare as finding a good woman who cooks and cleans. They're like unicorns. The Drover has several cuts of meat to select from. You honestly can't go wrong with the cut that you choose. They have seafood selections as well, just in case you want to get your Surf 'N Turf on. There's one thing that you can definitely say about this place, and that's the fact that it's a no-frills type of joint. They don't waste any time with any fluff. It's strictly meat & potatoes...literally. You won't find any bartenders here doing stupid bottle tricks and begging for clicks like they do out in Vegas. Instead you'll find Tony, who just keeps the glasses full with the concoctions that you wish to imbibe on. One of the female bartenders would fit right in at home in NYC as she drops an F-bomb or two. But, I'm no Karen, so I welcome the realness. She stated, "it's so fucking hot in here", as the bar fills up and the workers get slammed! Now onto the main course: I went with the 8oz Filet and the loaded baked potato. It was delicious! Simple, tasty, and loaded with flavor. They're famous for their secret "whiskey marinade" recipe. The baked potato comes out still wrapped in its foil, which will bring back memories of when your dad would cook them on an open flame charcoal grill. Did I mention the butter? I think I ate enough butter to kill a baby cow! And, I still couldn't get enough. Overall, this place is the epitome of Midwest Steakhouses. It gets right to the point and its customers will appreciate that! One guest told the bartender that he's not from Omaha, but every time he comes into town he comes directly to The Drover to eat dinner. He stated, "I've been coming here for 28 years". Later adding, "except for the years it was burnt down". Another female bartender quickly corrected him, "it was only shutdown for 9 months". Well, when your favorite restaurant is closed for any amount of time, "it felt like years", I added, as we all got a good laugh. As one old timer who came to sit at the bar said, "this is our favorite place". Well...old cowboy, I can see why. And, just like any Old Western movie, The Drover packs a serious punch. Pro tip: they open for dinner at 5:00pm, so get here early, unless you have Reservations of course. I got there at 4:55pm, no reservation, sat at the open bar, which is first come first serve and by 5:40 the place was packed! And, this was on a Wednesday.

I made a reservation for five of us, and we were counting down the days like it was a holiday. When we arrived, we valet parked and made our way inside. The restaurant is a little tucked away. Head downstairs past the hotel lounge and you will find it. It kind of gives the place a secret, speakeasy vibe, which I loved. We were greeted warmly and led to a private dining room that was beyond charming. It featured a renovated poker table that now serves as a dining table. It was unique, intimate, and perfect for our group. We were offered still or sparkling water right away, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Joe, our server, was fantastic. He knew we were celebrating and made the experience feel personalized from the moment we sat down. He also knew I was there for the Beef Wellington. I had noted it in the reservation, which I highly recommend, because they only prepare a limited number each day. They saved one for me, and I am still dreaming about it. Since it was our first time, we went all out. We shared Caesar salads, a small chilled seafood tower, bourbon-glazed pork belly, and an artisanal cheese board. Everything was top-notch. I do not even eat seafood, but the tarragon sauce on the tower was absolutely incredible. I would put that on toast, fries, maybe even a shoe. It was that good. For mains, most of us ordered the New York strip steaks. My husband chose the Summer of Steak flight, and I finally got my hands on the Wellington. Every entrée was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. These were easily some of the best steaks we have had in Omaha. We also ordered four sides to share, which was just right for our group of five. The truffle fries were hot and crispy with a lemon aioli that I wanted to take home in a bottle. The asparagus was fresh and perfectly done. The mashed potatoes were whipped and fluffy. The aged cheddar mac and cheese was everything it should be--gooey, rich, and ridiculously satisfying. Naturally, we did not stop there. We sampled a few desserts: Baked Alaska, Coconut Torte, and the Blackstone Butterbrickle. All three were excellent. There was not a single bite left behind. The cocktails were also a standout. Some of the best margaritas we have had in a while. The bartender deserves his own round of applause. Yes, it was a splurge. With tip, the bill came to around $1,200. But it was a birthday, and as my dad always says, if the food and the experience were good, it was money well spent. And this absolutely was. The Committee Chophouse delivered at every level: flavor, service, ambiance, and attention to detail. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can go back.

For starters we went with the blue cheese potato chips, jumbo lump crab cakes, beef carpaccio, and bacon wrapped shrimp. For dinner I went with the miso glazed sea bass and a cup of the crab bisque soup. While waiting for our food I went with the blood & marriage drink and boy that was delicious, I actually had two of them! After we tackled the appetizers, I dove head first into the crab bisque soup. We tried to get last-minute reservations (nobody even answering the phone at the Drover - boo) so we turned to a new choice flor us: Johnny's Cafe, a 100 year Omaha institution. While waiting, we enjoyed nice fresh rolls (yay!) with a chives and cottage cheese ball (not my taste but it's a signature item). Daughter ordered the Petit Filet; it was a bit overcooked but she ate it (bless her heart). I ordered the Prime Rib. It was tasty - perfectly cooked but less tender than what I normally experience. It had no real seasoning crust, but it did have a lot of external silver skin/gristle that should have been trimmed off before cooking. But the meat was tasty, and the price/value was very good. We ended the meal on a high note, sharing Caramel Chocolate Decadence. It was outstanding, marred only by YOG's efforts to shield it from the rest of our forks. Service was exceptional: friendly but not familiar, attentive but not cloying, informative and professional. Kudos to management.
