Made it here for lunch today. The service was phenomenal. I had the 1/2 pound Outbacker burger and fries. The picture on the menu was much more impressive. The burger that I received look much, much smaller and I would be shocked if it was 1/2 pound. I have a tradition of eating most of my fries before I touch my burger. By that time, the grease had soaked through the bottom of the bun which made eating it not very fun or pleasant. Both the burger and fries were heavily over seasoned. We rolled in just after 11 AM, right when they opened for lunch, and were seated promptly. It's a great start already! Our server swooped in when we got comfy in our booth, ready to take our drink orders. We went for water all around, but as the proud beverage goblin that I am, I needed something with a little more pizzazz. Enter: Coke Zero. Yes, friends, Outback is a Coke establishment, and not only that, they have the holy grail--COKE ZERO. Diet Coke? Acceptable. Diet Pepsi? If I must. But Coke Zero? That's the gold standard, and Outback delivered. As we waited for our last diner, who was fashionably late due to office shenanigans, we decided to kick things off with the iconic Bloomin' Onion. Alongside this deep-fried beauty, we were blessed with a little loaf of that delicious brown bread--a true gift to humanity. Once our final party member arrived, they immediately ordered the Boomerang Margarita Flight, purely for team-building purposes, of course. Sharing is caring! The flight included house lime, blackberry, mango, and watermelon margaritas. The unanimous winner? Blackberry. It's so good that we all agreed a full-sized version is in our future. Then came the main event: lunch sirloin steak combos all around! Two of us paired our steak with mixed veggies (carrots and squash). I tried to finesse some broccoli into the mix instead of squash, even offering to pay extra, but alas--no broccoli graced my plate. The other diner opted for French Onion soup with their steak and added a side salad for good measure. The food arrived hot and seasoned well. My steak was tasty, and while I did my best with the carrots, the squash remained mostly untouched (personal preference, not an Outback flaw). Meanwhile, my co-worker gave a solid thumbs-up to the French Onion soup. But we weren't done yet--dessert was calling. Enter the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. This behemoth of a dessert arrived, piled high with ice cream and whipped cream, and we dug in with three spoons. I took a bite and... meh. The brownie was a little underdone for my liking and, plot twist, had nuts. Not my vibe, but my companions happily devoured it, so clearly, it hit the right notes for them. Service-wise, our water glasses were never less than half full, and my Coke Zero cup was refilled without me even having to ask. Bonus points for the take-home Coke Zero in a proper cup--none of that tiny, sad to-go nonsense. The total for my steak lunch? Just under $15, and with a tip, a cool $20. Do not come here unless you wanna have severe stomach pain and waste $50. The food was absolutely gross, the bread what road hard on the outside and kind of soft on the inside, we got the 8 oz sirloins and they were covered in salt and pepper to where it was almost impossible to enjoy. The fries tasted old and cold, we got potato soup as our second side and it came out luke warm and gave me extremely bad stomach cramps. My fiancé got the Caesar salad as his, it tasted like raw fish, i understand anchovies is an ingredient in Caesar dressing but it wasn't that kind of fishy taste it tased like old freezer burnt cocktail shrimp. The servers were nice but just genuinely didn't know the menu or what the specials included. We came at 9:45-10pm (yes a little late but they don't close till 12pm) just to grab a bite to eat and it was extremely loud and music blaring the restaurant seemed pretty clean but was very off putting especially the bathrooms. read more

The first blooming onion that we received tasted burnt, and our server immediately let us know that she would not be able to remove it from the bill. I didn't like that answer and requested a new one. My steak was cooked like I wanted, and asparagus was cooked/tasted perfect. Can't beat loaded mashed potatoes as your second side. Just had an excellent dinner at Outback in Bellevue. Service was very good. They checked in periodically, were happy to serve you, and many people checked in which was great to have. My wife and I split the Boom A Rita which is 4 of their mini margs and all of them were incredible. The flavors were original, watermelon, mango, and one more I cannot remember haha. I highly recommend getting these if you are a fan of margs. Our appetizer was the Blooming Onion which obviously was incredible. My entree was steak with bloomin fried chicken. We had not been to an Outback Steakhouse for 10+ years since we were living overseas. Our youngest son was intrigued so we decided to stop by one night for dinner. The restaurant was somewhat busy, but we were seated immediately. You could tell our server was busy because she rushed through drink orders and quickly disappeared. I went with my usual Alice Springs chicken, baked potato, and Caesar salad. My husband and son went with steaks. The first thing we wanted to try was the blooming onion, You could tell the oil needed to be changed or it was overcooked because it was very crisp and tasted burnt. Our server immediately let us know that she would not be able to take it off our bill, which was not what we asked for, but I requested a new one. We received a replacement very quickly that was cooked perfectly. My Caesar salad tasted pretty good. When our food arrived, I noticed immediately that my order was incorrect. The boys steaks were cooked perfectly, but my Alice Springs chicken was just seasoned chicken with nothing else. I waited three or four minutes to get the correct order, but I think I just received the seasoned chicken with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese thrown on it quickly. The chicken was kind of dried out, so it was disappointing when I'd waited over 10+ years to have my heart set on something. We had to quickly talk to the server because she was in and out so quickly that we had to be ready to relay what we wanted before she walked away. I don't blame them, because the place was almost empty, at 4:00 p.m. Finally, one of them acknowledged my presence and said "hello", and I asked if the bar area was open seating. The person who brought my food did not bring me a set a silverware, granted I didn't ask, however he then brought my steak again without asking if I needed anything. I could have asked, but seriously! My salad was sitting there untouched??? The bartender came back and I asked for utensils, only because he asked if I needed anything. Yes, that was petty. After the 'manager' circled three times, he finally came over and asked how everything was. I said "fine" and he insisted on making sure I knew he was the manager. Good for you. I would not recommend this place and go to Texas Roadhouse if you want great service and the simple things expected when dining at a cookie cutter restaurant. When Outback comes to mind I think, not quite upscale but slightly below. It's been a while since I've come to one, and this experience wasn't what I was expecting. The bread is always fresh and delicious! I love that part. However, the entrees weren't as good. The chicken breast was an unmarinated breast with way too much seasoning blasted on top. The sweet potato was great though! Overall, I feel like I imagined a better experience than real life gave me. It was a while since we had gone to an outback. Was disappointed that they sat us down next to the only other family right next to us when there were at least 13 other tables open. Covid is still an issue. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Food came out fast and the food was good. I had the ribeye, broccoli and fries. The quality of our to go meal was below par last night. We ordered the Bloomin' Onion, Queensland Chicken & Shrimp pasta, kids chicken tender meal, two side salads, and to cocktails to go. The highlight of our meal was the cocktails to go. They come in glass Mason jars with all the cocktail garnish on the side. Also included is a qr code to scan with directions on how to assemble. A lovely touch! However, the food was atrocious. The bloomin' Onion was soggy and tasted of raw flour. Definitely not the crisp, pull apart, flavor packed appetizer we have grown to expect and appreciate from outback. The chicken tender kids meal had the same flour under crunch that the bloomin' onion had, while at the same time having an overdone microwaved texture. The chicken tenders were unappealing in every way. The Queensland chicken and shrimp pasta, the pasta was dry and somehow also oily, as well as tasting of fish (not shrimp fish!). The chicken was over saturated in the seasoning powder blend to the point you had to scrape the seasoning off. The shrimp was also over seasoned and overcooked and rubbery. Unfortunately, in the end, we will probably look elsewhere next time for our to go meals. read more

I genuinely can't believe how wrong this experience went, It was my husbands first time eating Outback and we've never heard anything bad about Outback a lot of people say It's a good place so it's saddening his first experience was soured. He ordered a burger as he loves burgers and he waited a while for his burger to come out and to his horror the burger was ice cold. I don't know if it wasn't cooked long enough or if the server took too long but it was as cold as it was outside. He sent back his burger because if he asked for no tomatoes and they left them on there or maybe the patty was a little overcooked it would've been fine but the burger was cold to the touch and it gets to a point to where you can't ignore the imperfections on a burger. I can only hope the servers were kind and didn't mess with his burger as it wasn't something small it was something that wasn't his fault and he got what i hope was a new burger and this one was warm and eatable. Food was okay service wasn't horrible but just a bad first experience I hope everyone has good experiences but sadly we did not. read more

I've been in dozens of times over the years, consistently receive good service and great food, and figured it was high time I wrote a review. I generally skip appetizers at a steakhouse such as this because, well... complimentary fresh baked bread. My son however loves the Kookabura Wings and gets them every time. I don't recall ever having had a bad steak here. (I always get the filet and am pretty sure I'd remember being unhappy with a filet...) The steak is always wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. (Side note on the seasoning - if you're from Wisconsin like my Mom and think anything more than ketchup is spicy, you're going to want to ask them to take it easy on the pepper.) The only thing I've frequently been disgruntled about here is their inability to cook the fresh vegetable sides. I should be able to pierce my broccoli with a fork goshdarnit! Lastly, it's kind of weird to go to a steakhouse for a salad dressing but I've done it. Their Bleu Cheese Vinaigrette salad dressing is delicious! My wife and I ate here yesterday (6/22/23). My wife had the blue cheese salad and the luncheon sirloin. She loved both. The salad was large and had tons of blue cheese on it. The sirloin was cooked to perfection (she likes her steak medium rare). I had the luncheon coconut shrimp (quantity 6) and the crock of Tasmanian chili (which was filled with pieces of steak and had no beans). Both were excellent. Just a couple of dings relative to our dining experience: - Service could have been better. We were never asked if our drinks (iced tea and iced water) needed filling, even though both were low at one point. So, I ended up conserving my drink as best as I could, so it would last through most of my meal. - Service could have been better. We were promised some more bread, but it never came, so we had to remind our server. By the time she finally came back with the bread, we were both pretty much done with our meals. - Please keep in mind that on the above two points, we arrived at 11 am on a week day, and there were only 3 other customers in the entire restaurant, so it wasn't like they were swamped. - I know about the inflationary state our country is in right now (I experience it daily), but even so, I thought the pricing was a bit high. My family ate here recently and the food was just ok. The service was slow and inattentive for an early Saturday dinner/late lunch. We started with the Aussie cheese fries and those were just as good as I remember from past visits. For dinner we had the Outback-Style prime rib, a ribeye with over the top brussel sprouts, and the sirloin with lobster mac and cheese from their seasonal feature menu. The steaks were good and cooked as ordered. The prime rib was tender, but I regret the Outback style seasoning. It had a heavy smoky/blackened flavor that I just didn't care for. It came with creamy horseradish that taste like sour cream mixed with horseradish - it was not the type of creamy I was expecting. None of us cared for the brussel sprouts and we usually love them. These were overly charred and the flavor literally stayed with you for hours after. Lastly, the lobster mac and cheese was good, but it was dry and overcooked. I think this is from the crusted bread crumb topping because the regular mac and cheese was more creamy. I was surprised by how affordable the menu is since I always thought $$$ when I thought of Outback; I was able to get a lot of food for not much money off of the lunch menu. What a fabulous time... definitely want a do-over! After trying several other steak houses in Omaha, we finally tried Outback's in Bellevue. It is by far my favorite of all the places we've tried. We walked in- no reservation & was seated quickly. Our waiter was second to none (wish I could remember his name!) He was on point with meal & drink recommendations (Down Under & BLOOD ORANGE Rita's are AMAZING!!) as well as frequently checked on our table to get us whatever we needed. But what stood out to us @ Outback's vs the other places is the quality of meat,flavor & how it was cooked to perfection. They know how to cook a steak & I'll leave it @ that. We had dinner here a few weeks back and unfortunately did not have a very good experience. We hurried in before a movie and while there was a decent wait time we were able to snag a seat in the bar area which is first come first serve. We waited quite a while to meet our server but once he arrived he apologized for the wait and was really nice. He seemed pretty overwhelmed and was running around and apologizing to most of the tables for being behind. Our drink orders became quite the problem. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our drinks. I ordered the Wallaby-Darned with rum instead of vodka as its a safer alcohol for people really allergic to gluten. This actually wasn't my original idea to substitute it but rather the bartender at the Lincoln Outback Steakhouse location suggested it and it was super delicious. This location's bartender was incredibly rude about it. I watched him argue and be very condescending to the server multiple times and the server came back apologizing and said the bartender "refused to make it". I felt bad for him, it wasn't his fault the guy was being a jerk, so I asked to speak to him. Again, remember I'm sitting in the bar area hearing everything. The bartender threw his towel down, grabbed the book, and came over without introducing himself or greeting me and shoved the book in front of me. He pointed to the mixing instructions and said it comes with vodka not rum so he couldn't make what I was asking for. After telling him I'd had it at another location, and some annoyed comments from my fiancé he reluctantly agreed. The drink was terrible, and not because it had rum in it. It was full of ice chunks and tasted like watery alcohol. Finally the food started coming out. The salad had croutons on it and had to be taken back. The salad plate that came out again was dirty with a smudge of reddish sauce on the plate. My steak was cooked well but we'd literally just been at the Lincoln Outback the week before and this steak was quite a bit smaller. They forgot my fiancé's side and sent out a very messy plate, he didn't get his side until he was completely done with his meal. The server kept apologizing over and over again, none of which was his fault. He actually got the manager on his own and she came out and apologized and sent us home with a free dessert and comp'd our drinks. She was really nice but wow, what a fiasco. This a great representation of why I've started reviewing chain restaurants, each location is not equal. This usually would fall under 2 stars for my review consistency; however, the server was very nice and did his best to be accommodating and the manager did offer some unsolicited compensation which was appreciated. The new beer cheese fondue with pretzels...pass on it. Sure, the cheese tastes good but its so thin and runny it doesn't really grab onto the pretzel. If you get it, make sure you get a couple extra loaves of the complimentary bread. We didn't and so at least half the cheese was still in the pan when they took it away. The steaks and coconut shrimp were good but a little chewy. The sides and salads were good. For the most part, the service was good. Right up to the part were we had the bill, put a card in the little folder and waited...and waited...and waited for the waiter to come pick it up. I tried to get the attention of any of the waiters or the manager. Nobody would look our way. After about 15 minutes I took the bill to the bartender and asked to pay. I was encouraged by the waitress to get the Bloomin Onion but when I commented that I didn't want the grease, she offered an alternative, Onion Chips that were much less greasy. The first thing I did was cause the butter to go flying off the table across the floor and my wonderful kind server Martin just cleaned it up and made no big deal about it, he was very professional and had strong knowledge of the menu to answer all my questions. I highly recommend that Ahi tuna, it's my favorite and I have it every time. Ask for a little extra sauce on the side for dipping. Don't forget your military discount! read more
