They sell nice things, but very overpriced. You'd be best to stick with the others like Ortega Int'l (Scottsdale, AZ), Retablo (Cave Creek, AZ), etc. where the inventory is sourced from the same suppliers all in Mexico, not contrarily the USA. We are excitedly out to update our new home with new furniture and spent the weekend shopping in Cave Creek as we heard there are a number of retailers, artisans, etc. in a convenient compact locale, much like Old Towne Scottsdale, our usual spot. Including Out West, we were not disappointed. Although not a lot of money for some people, we spent just short of $8,000 over the weekend getting started with our decorating quest. I hope the following helps and apologize for the "confused" Review I did not intentionally mean to cause confusion with . . . I use reviews of peers to get a feel for products, services, retailers, etc. and since I use reviews, feel the obligation to reciprocate with reviews of my own to keep this helpful tool (Reviews) mutually helpful. I did a quick glance at my history on Yelp and see that over the years I have written a total of 318 Reviews with 259 of those 318 being 5 stars, trying to do my part. My reviews are written from the perspective of consumer-to-consumer only, so again in the absence of speaking with you I hope this helps. To clarify the "100 percent incorrect" comment you made, my feedback to others was indeed to state we were told by the Out West employee Out West DOES source from the USA. While over the years like most others we have wanted to purchase items made in the USA, we have discovered furniture pieces sourced from Mexico are often better quality and at lower prices; a powerful combination. But when we were in Out West, we listened and kinda liked the idea of buying a couple of cool pieces 'made in the USA'. We purchased one of your 1) mesquite with turquoise and copper infused cutting boards and 2) centerpieces consisting of a flight of 5 handblown tequila jars mounted in a metal serving rack. Our goal for our 2-day shopping spree was to first and most importantly purchase a mesquite table with turquoise and copper infused top with either 6 chairs or a 4 chair and bench combo. We found a nice table in Out West but there was no price. So, we asked the young lady who said she had to ask someone else. So, a young man came out and said it is $5,900 but would sell it to us for $5,300. While that seemed high, we felt good about the USA sourced 1) cutting board and 2) centerpiece so we purchased both. Continuing our 2-day shopping spree weekend (Out West was our very first stop of the 1st of the 2 days) we continued to other places such as Retablo (Cave Creek, AZ) and Ortega Int'l (Scottsdale, AZ) to name a couple. In all, we spent just under $8,000 that weekend. As we had hoped, we found the mesquite table and chairs we had hoped for. At 88" and 86" respectively, they were much less expensive than Out West. We purchased the 88" one for $3,800. The 86" one was even less, but we liked the 88" one better. We also discovered the same mesquite cutting boards we purchased at Out West for $100 each to be $60 at Retablo and $75 at Ortega Int'l. The handblown tequila bottle centerpiece we purchased as Out West was likewise that much more relatively priced higher than Retablo, but a different design and color combination. Those would be the "proof of base" you mentioned as applicable to how we arrived at our decision . . . the basis of my review which I thought would be helpful to other shoppers. In response to your question "Did you take the time to speak to some of our staff and educate yourself of what we carry?", yes, we spoke to the young lady and the young man she called from out back. They are the ones who educated us on Out West products being sourced in the USA (so, again, you and I are on the same page with the 'made in the USA') and the young man even educated us that the same $5,900 / $5,300 table would cost $12,000 in Scottsdale, AZ. Having mostly shopped and purchased in Scottsdale, AZ before discovering the hidden treasure of shopping in Cave Creek, AZ when educated that the $5,900 / $5,300 table would cost us $12,000 in Scottsdale, AZ, we chose to wait on that particular purchase which, of course and as you can see above paid off for us. We had taken photos and measurements of the Out West table which were helpful and seeing the better design details, finish, etc. (for our personal wants / needs), again at much lower [Due to Yelp's character limit, please see attachment the rest of this update]
Zack and his team are great to work with. He always has unique, custom built and beautiful furniture. Plenty of other southwest style accessories. We recently bought a rustic bed that looks amazing in our home.
Nice custom furniture at reasonable prices. No pictures allowed in store which is fine, because the store is worth the window shopping!
I am so thankful to have found Out West when my husband and I were trying to accomplish a mixture of Western, Santa Fe and Spanish style. Our first purchase was the chairs, where I hand picked the fabric, cowhide, color and shape- all made here! After that experience, we were sold and so came the dresser turned media unit, the dining table & bench, tequila bottle centerpiece and the ottoman (which we purchased used and then Out West made our vision a reality). Such a great, friendly, family-owned business that we will continue to shop for other parts of our home!
I am so thrilled to have stumbled across OutWest Interiors. My hubby and I have been looking for the perfect coffee table in the Southwest style for months. When we entered the store, I knew we had come to the right place. Everything in the store is unique and worth every dollar we spent. Zack, you are amazing! Out West is a furniture and home decor store on Cave Creek Road. This store focuses on the western motif. You find large animal hides, large leather couches, cowboy sculptures and much more. The owner is very nice and happy to help anyone who needs it. Large parking lot. read more

I found the perfect bedding at Out West. The quality is amazing. This is a heavy, substantial spread and pillow set that will last for years. I can't recommend Out West enough. If you're looking for beautiful unique furniture or accessories for your home with a Southwest flair, this is the place. read more

I am so thrilled to have stumbled across OutWest Interiors. My hubby and I have been looking for the perfect coffee table in the Southwest style for months. I would give them more stars if I could!! We have an unusually high bar top in our kitchen and have been looking for a reputable, custom furniture maker for over a year that could bring our vision to life!! After engaging 2 companies who messed up our orders, I found Out West from a Google search and they did not disappoint. They knew exactly what we wanted, made great suggestions and delivered them in 8 weeks, not 6 months like everyone else out there with custom orders. Zach was wonderful to work with and this family-owned business in engaged to make sure you get quality pieces at affordable prices. We will be back soon!
