We are considering consigning some home goods. You don't need an appointment to do this. Before doing so though, I wanted to understand the details of consignment. The outside has mostly metal and patio furniture. Street parking and they have our own small lot. read more

I don't even know where to start. Such a great store with an incredible selection and staff. It was like being a kid in a candy store for sure. I got a great deal on a set of vintage Talavera dishes. Next time I won't take hubby that way, I can buy more ha ha. read more

Beware doing consignment here. Pretty sure I got majorly ripped off on a few valuable paintings. If you must use them, read the fine print and do not go by what they tell you. So sad when businesses do business like this. read more

What a cool store. Love going here to find random unique pieces. Keep up the great work.

Very overpriced and cave creek tourist trap vibe. If you like to antique and are looking for reasonably priced items, then this isn't it. Prices are beyond retail. Some nice items but plenty of damaged and incomplete sets as well, with no price breaks. Some nice art and jewelry pieces but again- did I mention the prices! Wow. read more

We moved to Sun City Grand when I retired. We left much of our furniture in IL. The Lazy Lizard is a "must visit" location when visiting Cave Creek. We have purchased several large unique pieces from them. We love Mike! Warmest regards, Alan and Margie Steffen read more

Lots of cool stuff.reasonable prices.fun place to kill some time & look for hidden gems!

Fantastic experience consigning items with Lazy Lizard! We bought a furnished home and needed to get most of it out before starting a renovation. Mike was a major help, in fact the whole family is very pleasant to deal with. It was such a relief to get rid of everything in one go instead of trying to sell it myself or going to multiple consignment stores, and the items I gave them sold quickly. Their inventory consists primarily of gently used, high end, unique items. Definitely worth stopping in if you're looking for some one of a kind pieces! read more

Great shop! They had a great variety of vintage concho belts. Very pricey! Worth the look of you're in cave creek and love thrifting. If I had over a thousand to splurge one concho belt. Maybe just maybe. read more

Needed last minute furniture pickup for house that sold quickly, called lazy lizard and talked to Michael. He totally moved things around to accommodate us on a last minute request and was able to take nearly everything we wanted him to take. What a stupendous job he did, the movers did and promptly got 2 checks for nearly every item. Amazing experience! Highly recommend. Thanks so much! read more

terribly crowded, genuinely gave me an anxiety attack. not to mention, all of their pieces are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. there was a garbage looking wood table there listed for $4k read more

Great items, vintage and newish. Very crowded with furniture and accessories, but that adds to the fun of browsing there. A bit pricier than you would expect from the outside, but much of the stuff is very high quality and/or unique. We love the entry table we purchased, and look forward to future visits. read more

Don't tell anybody how awesome this place is!! Shhh. Keep the cool stuff for those in the know! My wife and I bought some really cool stuff here on vacation and now have to rent a vehicle to take them back to Denver. Bummer. Next time we're bringing our van on vacation. Thanks to the Lazy Lizard staff for being friendly and helpful. read more

This company has outstanding bills and they refuse to pay them or pick up the phone. Stay away!!

Here's what happened... I'm from out of AZ and while touring houses to buy I came across this store. i purchased a framed piece of art for several hundred dollars and they stored it for me. Months passed and one day they called me asking when I'd be picking it up. I told them it'd be immediately after escrow closed. No problem they said. When I finally closed escrow I called them to say I'd be in to pick it up the clerk said the piece was right in front of him... at the register??? I thought that was an odd and vulnerable place to store art. When I arrived they quickly handed it to me in the UHaul truck and off I went... happy to hang it in just the right place. UNTIL I unwrapped it and saw mildew on the matting and water stains on the rear of the matt. Obviously it was water damaged while in storage; no one would have bought it in this condition. I immediately called and emailed 4 times to politely ask how they may wish to remedy this... NO CALL BACK or response. I was told all sales are final. I was willing to have it repaired and not refunded. STILL NO RESPONSE. So, I'm left to YELP about it and caution tourists and natives to enjoy the things they sell but don't expect straight-shooting when there's a problem. Guess they're too lazy to care once a sale is made. read more

I try to check in here at least once a week. They're constantly getting new treasures. Purchased a custom leather sofa. Got it home - tried it out for a few weeks, and decided that the pattern on the back didn't really work because of the open area of the decor. Inquired with the owner who allowed me to return it and swap it for a brand new one with a different design. Who does that these days? On several occasions, I've found items that would cost a ridiculous amount of money new or even in a Scottsdale 'shoppe' and were ver reasonably priced. In fact, there's room for negotiation on almost everything. I highly recommend you check them out if you're looking for something different. read more

Like everyone else said... LOVE IT. I could furnish my whole house with their stuff. It's all southwestern/cowboy themed - they have furniture, wall hangings, dinner services, knick knacks and trinkets, and even some boots and hats. Everything is usually on sale to some degree. The mustached gentleman that took care of us was very nice and helpful. We purchased a picture frame, a cute hanging piece and a cowboy boot piggy bank for my godson - it all added up to about $20, and unlike some stores in the area, I was glad he treated us like we were still worth his time even though we weren't buying anything big. Can't wait to come back with my whole week's earnings to splurge on some more decor! read more

High quality, good prices, unique stuff and the people working there are as nice and helpful as can be. We bought a wooden dining room table and a set of outdoor furniture for a fraction of the price new and it was all in excellent condition. There are also some cool tchotchkes, cowboy hats, boots etc. I bought a cool framed wooden John Wayne poster for $80. If you are looking to furnish your home in a Southwestern style this is a place you must come to. read more

I went in last weekend and wanted to purchase a light for over my table. The only person on there said the bulbs and hardware had been accidentally put in another storage building. He said he would call us as soon as he found the parts. We have heard nothing from him. I called and left a voice message asking him to call me s I can purchase it. Just keep this in mind if you are considering this place to sell something read more

LOVE THIS STORE! Everything country and such neat finds. Some day, I will clear out my house and head to Cave Creek and the Lazy Lizard to completely redecorate it (will wait till the teens have flown the nest because it might make them crazy).. 5 stars for their beautiful collection of treasures, but unbelievably expensive. I moved to Carefree a month ago or so and I wanted to check out this place. I recently visited the Lazy Lizard. Great items, unique and different. Additionally, I unknowingly dropped a $50.00 bill out of my wallet when I went to purchase my" find". After I discovered my money was missing, I called all of the stores I had gone to see if anyone had found my money. When I called Lazy Lizard the gentleman said "I've been waiting for your call". He actually sent me the money in Seattle, where I live. So refreshing! Thank you Lazy Lizard!! read more

Almost daily switch up of cool items in the Lizard keeps me coming back. Like other reviewers I wish I had more room for their items in my house. Maybe I just start over? If you need great rustic, Mexican, Western furniture and accessories this is definitely the place to go! I've furnished my entire house from this fabulous consignment store. The prices are great and the staff is really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And don't forget to take a look at the wonderful jewelry and great selection of gently used cowboy boots. Definitely worth the drive and Cave Creek's awesome (and cooler!) than the valley!! read more

I will never shop at this store again. They had a large piece of pottery on a shelf with two small pieces and a painted wooden plate behind leaning against the back of the cabinet. I had removed the large pot to see the price on the bottom and was returning it to the shelf when the painted wooden plate slid and ejected one of the smaller pots on the floor. The pot that I was replacing never touched the wooden plate, it was the sliding and subsequent vibration that caused the wooden plate which was in a precarious stance to slip. Of course the clerk insisted we pay for the broken small pot which I agreed to even thou I was not wholly at fault for the accident. This is the grievance: the large pottery pot was $24 (as marked) and the small pottery pot which had no price marked on it was assigned a price of $11 by the clerk. The clerk decided to take advantage of the situation and flagrantly over charge us for the small pot. This is opportunistic and in my opinion lacking in character. I will never shop at this store again and I encourage you to do the same. (See attached picture) read more
