I split my rating into 2 categories, Food and Service. As for the food, amazing as always. The wings, in which I've tried the OMG's, Heaven, and I believe the No-Jokes...and they were all amazing. First time I had the wings, they were sort of cold and we waited quite awhile for them to be done. The wings were smaller than I thought they would be but good all the same. Even cold they were delicious. And I agree with the other reviews about them being better than Quaker Steaks. I just love them! I also love the fact that there is ALWAYS extra sauce in the basket. I love being able to dip my wings in extra sauce if I please. I've also had a burger which wasn't bad either, but keep in mind you may need to ask for LTO on the side because it may not come with it. I've had the onion rings here too which are VERY large and were cooked just right! The food I've tried overall is amazing and will keep me coming back every time. The drinks are also pretty good. I've tried some of the specialty drinks including the Orange Creamsicle( which I now get every time I visit) the Summer Fling( another drink I now always get when visiting) and I've had a few sips of a Cherry drink that was pretty great too. I wish they had a bigger list for people like me who are alcoholic newbies looking for good drinks to try. Also, try to go up to the bar(if you aren't already sitting there) to ask for drinks. Most of the time, they are low on staff and have a hard time catering to each person at the bar and each person at the tables in a reasonable amount of time. I try to be as patient as possible and get a seat either at the bar or very close to it. Don't be shy to call someone over, or its possible you may not get someone for awhile. I'm sure that this will change in the future. I've been here a few times and the time you get there is VERY important. When it gets busy, you want to avoid sitting in the back room. Service is almost non-existant because of the many people at the bar and tables in the front, depending on the time of day. I've had days where I get in and get out very quickly. Other days I've had to sit there for increments of anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes waiting for service to cater to me, which is understandable on busy days, but at the same time, its also hard for the bartenders to see the people in the back room. Though the bartenders don't know me, they are very friendly and outgoing so that is always a big bonus with bars. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened there, problem wise. Just very busy. Was hoping to go out tonight for St. Patricks day and I know if I do I'll be in for a crazy night! Overall, the place is great. I used to love this place i've been going there for at least the last 20 years tthe service used to be great and the food even better! The last four or five times I went there I had horrible service poorly prepared food and just plain ignorant employees. The wings I ordered last night was the last straw! One of them had a giant tumor on it and a few of the other ones did not even resemble wings I didn't even know what they were wtf! And to top it off they charged my card twice and when I called in to tell them about it they acted like it was nothing. Now I have to go down there talk with someone explain thewhole situation just to probably get more attitude! Our gangs used to be my favorite, I will never eat there again and neither should you if you care about what you eat!! This is a popular wing spot in the area. The best thing they have going for them is their sauces. The boneless wing quality is sub par. It's not a solid piece of meat but rather something that you would expect to find at a fast food restaurant. The bone wings are a little better. The servers are all friendly but the place is never busy enough for the amount of time it takes to be served and food to come out. I had to go in and edit my review.. I had this place rated at 5 stars, but as much as I hate to do it...my last few experiences here have not been good. I really think to be fair you have rate this place in 2 categories...1 for the wings & 2 for the service and experience. 1st the wings....the wings have been really good as usual, but I've had 1 time where my wings were cold/luke warm and another time I got the wrong amount of wings. However..flavor was good and I still think they have the best wings in the area, but consistancy seems to have dropped. 2nd..service and at experience....the place has really failed to deliver. 1 time we went in on a friday at 5pm...sat for 20 minutes at a table and no one came over to ask us if we wanted a drink or said hello..we left without ordering food or drinks..Just this evening we went in at 700 pm..maybe 3 tables and 7 people at the bar.....ordered drinks...sampler app and some wings... waited 45 minutes to get the sampler..and the wings came out 20 minutes later... only had 2 drinks during this time because thats all the drinks we could get... I know places get busy, but when or if the kitchen is backed up for an hour....you should probably let people know BEFORE you order...Letting people just sit and wait to me is just not the right thing to do. I used to enjoy coming to this place and would tell people it was really a great place to go. After this last experience...I feel like something has changed and not for the good..What seems to be even more upsetting is no one in the place seems to really care???.....Sad to see.. my wife and I really miss Adrienne...If she comes back...I think I'll give this place another try....but moving forward......its going to have to be wings to go... read more

Service here is absolutely terrible. Came here for the first time and waited over an hour for wings and fries.. while tables that sat down after us got their drinks AND appetizers before we were even taken care of. I will also add it wasn't even busy with multiple tables open so I do not understand why it took this long. When our food finally came, only our wings did and it took 15 more min for the fries. I'm not much for the story and you couldn't care less who I went here with, so here's the deal. This place is a small corner bar. The staff is friendly and so are the customers. I know there have been some earlier service complaints. They obviously weren't served by MEGAN, who was fun attentive and on the spot. The food quality was way above what I ever expected. The bacon mushroom burger served on a fresh bun at 6 bucks is one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. Wings were good and there is no problem splitting sauces even on small orders. My friend Ronnie devoured Jimmy's Chubbie. You can add fries to your sandwich for a buck. Megan recommended the fresh cut waffle fries...did I mention she was spot on! read more

This used to be our Penn State hang out, and we miss it. The wings are very good, and most of their other food is decent, but the service and time it takes to get served takes forever unless you catch them on a slow day. If you go there on a weekend or busy night, Forgetaboutit! (Lol, same name as one of their wing flavors). I took the guys there twice during our one hour lunch break and even calling and ordering ahead cannot get us in and out in an hour. One time the bartender left us sitting there for like 15 mins before even getting to us. She then says, it's busy and acted like it was our fault for not coming to her! We ate that day and it took 90 mins for wings and philly sandwiches; she never once said she was sorry for the wait or for not coming to us. There were 6 of us and we haven't been back since; that was over a year ago. I miss my college hangout and will give them some time to step up their service game before I return. read more

No joke, the best wings I've had in PA. I've yet to have a bad flavor but the Hot Gino's are the best. The staff is always super friendly and drinks are reasonably priced. Always good people in attendance (both employees and patrons) so if you're a social person you'll feel at home. The only downside is that when it's busy, ITS SLAMMED! And they don't have the capacity or staff to keep ticket times fast, so don't go on Thursday unless you have ample time and patience. An hour wait is a possibility to get your food. Until Friday night (3/1/19), this was one of my favorite places to eat. After my experience Friday evening, I will no longer be eating there. My friend and I arrived at 5:55 PM and sat down at an open table near the door. It was busy and we did not expect to be greeted immediately based on the volume of customers, but at 6:25, we still had not even been acknowledged. Not a hello, not an "I'll be right over", nothing. Making matters worse, the tables are in close proximity and the table right next to us had a party of 3 and a waitress delivered their food, checked up on them, and pre-bussed their table, and yet never acknowledged us, just a couple of feet away. I finally asked a bartender if I could order there at the bar. He said someone will be right over, which again, never occurred. My recommendation is do not go to this restaurant during any potential peak hours, or you run the risk of the experience my friend and I had. It's too bad because the food is good, but what took place that evening was customer service at it's very worst read more

Had to come in and update my review.. About a month ago I wrote one and decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt and try it again. This past Thursday, a friend of mine and I went in and sat at a table. Again, NOT the bar.. Waited a HALF AN HOUR for service. The bar wasn't too awfully packed and there were two bartenders. Outrageous. Other than having the best wings around, this place obviously could care less about quality of their customer service and have no clue on how to properly run a bar. The wings are so good here they need to get 4 stars....despite the service. The first time we came here, we had awesome service because Geno waited on us. Super friendly, really fast, awesome wings - love that you can split your order to get more than one sauce. Every time we've been back and had other servers, the wings have been consistently good (the Kenny V's are my fav, the garlic fries great, sandwiches just ok), but the service pretty bad. One time, the wait was over an hour and there were only four people in the bar. I understand there are take out orders, but the server just plain did NOT go into the kitchen to check on the food, when we could see there was a TON of food lined up ready to go out to customers. The servers seem to be more focused on making drinks at the bar than doing quick tasks that would speed up the process. One time, we went up to the bar and asked for a menu. The server, rather than just handing it to us, said she would "bring it right over" to us. We actually watched her serve 8 other people drinks at the bar, then go clean off a couple tables before she came over and asked what we wanted - not even realizing she never even gave us the menu we asked for. If they can train the servers, we will never hesitate to come here for the great wings. read more
