Visited the pop up on the Christmas Walk in Union Square with my family and everyone loved the flavors they got! I tried the lavender one and it was light and a little crispy just how a macaron should be. We got the 6 piece box for $12 and we're NOT disappointed at all. Oui Oui is the latest addition to the local trend of macaron vendors (Paulette, L'Artisan, Christopher David, Miette, plus every French bakery and pastry shop in town). Worth mentioning that the macarons from popular Paulette are the only ones not made in SF, their factory is in SoCal. I'm happy to patronize local vendors like this one, rather than retail shops from out of town. These macarons are really well made, cute, delicate, crisp outer layer, and nice cream filling. Flavor is okay. In comparison, industrialized-Paulette has more variety, Miette is creamier, and Christopher David has sharper flavors. I tried 5 flavors ($1 each): chocolate peppermint, espresso, raspberry, lemon, and almond blueberry (w/almond bits on top). http://media4.px.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/QDOw_Q63-VUwElTBTObxBA/l They were giving one free when u buy 6, so I decided to get that offer. One of the chocolate macarons I got was crushed on one side (a center hole, size of a thumb). Not very nice to give me the damaged one. :( Get updates via Twitter.

Decent macaron. Nice aroma and flavor Texture are delicate and airy which is nice My favorite flavor are lychee, and black sesame. Some recommendations, Salted caramel, has to be a little bit more salty and spread/ sprinkle salt more evenly. Rose, I don't sense the aroma nor taste the rose. Simply too sweet. I have rose tea all the time, I know how rose taste. This can be improved.

I got the mint chocolate chip macaroon ice cream sandwich. Personally I think the texture of the macaroon is too sticky and too sweet compare to the other places I've tried. Though the combination with the ice cream is really good. I would recommended to eat it there because it will be somehow messy. Overall, great experience and great service. $4 for a large scoop of ice cream and macaroon shell was reasonable. I would like to to try other items in the future.

Grey sea salt caramel - yum!

Grey sea salt caramel - yum! not usually a fan of savory & sweet together but the sea salt here just REALLY worked. The macarons are huge and have a perfect slight crunch, soft inside, and great for sharing.

Oui Oui Macarons. Thai Tea, Chocolate, Vanilla, Blueberry, Rose, and Peppermint Candy.

The best macarons I have ever tasted. Do yourself a favor and visit during the food truck openings. This is a very fun place to be.

With the dark brown décor and brick, the interior reflects the neighborhood's industrial past. The assortment of snacks, desserts and pastries in the café is wonderful- everything is delicious. I've found Dandelion dark chocolate with its global origin of chocolates to be superior to the French or Italian chocolate brands I've come across in a Europe. It ended up being one of my favorite stops in the city, and I really look forward to coming back soon. It's an easy one to get to on a walk in the area. It feels like a cafe or coffee roaster, so modern and clean, but with a clear love of everything chocolate. I'm told on the weekends it gets super busy thanks to their menu of chocolate infused everything including coffees and teas. On the left to the inside is their full range of bars, which includes a placard with the location of the cacao and tasting notes. There are also free samples of everything, and the servers can help you with questions. They even have little tasting sheets for notes if you want to get serious and remember for future visits. They have a few tables and bar seating at the front, with more bar seating along the back right leading to the clean restrooms. Here you'll also find educational displays about chocolate and viewing windows to the roasting and processing rooms. Even though it was afternoon, it was so much fun to order things with caffeine just for the sheer joy of it. We had the chocolate milk, I had a chocolate infused black tea, we shared a special new bar, and were given their signature tiny cookies. Prices are reasonable for the quality, both the drinks and the bar. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they clearly love the place as much as we do.

But who makes the city's best croissants? The San Francisco Chronicle recently held a blind taste test to answer that serious question, and lo and behold ONE65's version ended up being the SECOND-BEST croissant in that competition. ONE65's building is quite the destination. Their croissants are found in the first floor patisserie, the second floor hosts a chocolate room where their in-house chocolatier crafts artisanal bonbons, on the third floor you'll find the ONE65 Bistro & Grill, the fourth floor is home of the Elements Lounge, and the 5th & 6th floors are where you'll find O' by Claude Le Tohic, a luxurious, fine-dining French culinary experience. Our breakfast at ONE 65 of course included croissants, one sweet and one savory. Yes, they were both amazing- soft and flaky and chock full of yummy fillings. There were also no trays, so I had to carry two separate plates to my table since I'd ordered two pastries for myself. Eventually, I brought everything back to the counter and asked to have it packed to go because the flies were bothering me that much. The whole experience was frustrating and inconvenient. The mixed berry toast was okay, would be better if they gave syrup, and the blueberry Danish was pretty good, but it was hard to enjoy either with flies everywhere. Based on my experience, I'd recommend getting your food to go.
