While Glebe has a lot of cafes and restaurants to choose from the wife and I landed at this place after we read the menu.
While inside is nicely decorated with wooden tables and chairs, there is nothing better than sitting at an outside table in the Spring sun with live music from a solo guitar/harmonica player.
The menu has a good selection of pastas and pizzas to select, and not your usually sauces either.
I went with a gorganzola gnocchi and the wife had penne arrabiatta. My sauce was amazingly creamy. The gorganzola had just enough bite to be present without it overpowering the other flavours. The gnocchi was a bit soft but I could tell it was home made. The arrabiatta had soft delicate peppery notes lingering in the smooth tomato sauce. The penne was cooked perfectly.
The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and they knew the menu well. Well presented and very well spoken.
The wait time was average. I don't mean that in a negative way - it was neither long nor short. The place was fairly busy and they got our food out in a respectable time.
We would definitely come here again. Might try the pizza next time. read more
