Before we knew it we were deep under Wynyard station emerging 5 minutes later (sans steps or traffic lights) to the breathtaking Barangaroo, a completely new part of the city. Our dinner (and table) was fabulous (I chose the Lamb), with good conversation, wine/beer, and great service flowing freely. And of course, Sydney had one last parting gift on our way home. That was a memorable ferry ride with front row seats to see Darling Harbour, Sydney's iconic bridge, and Opera house lit up and shining ever so bright in the utterly perfect early Autumn night sky.

If you come on a Saturday night, you can also experience some belly dancing and Turkish music - yes it is a bit cliched, but also a lot of fun. You can take one away for a couple of bucks and they'll wrap it up in butcher's paper for you. Grab one of these (they're huge), plus a few small dips and you're set for a picnic in the park. If you're dining in, treat yourself to a bunch of yum vego sides like stuffed vine leaves and falafels. There's also a huge selection of pides. Seriously huge. The flat kusbasili with diced leg of lamb, onion, tomato, capsicum, parsley and spices is brilliant, as is the folded potato with onion, spinach and cheese. I'd also recommend trying a few bits and pieces from the grilled menu (the mince kofte are good) and of course a few traditional desserts. (Hey, you need to try them out, right?!) To be fair, there was nothing really wrong with it all (except it was a bit greasy) but nothing really memorable or especially right with it either. I have had food like this before under other labels but the Lebanese spin seems to be unique added spices and ingredients, like pomegranate seeds in the side salad, and a distinctive pita-like bread with thinner texture but equally delicious and perfect for dipping. The kebabs were tender and the side dips were garlicky and yummy. All in all a cute new place which I recommend trying, especially since there's not many restaurants with similar Middle-eastern cuisine in the immediate vicinity.

Biggest tip call in before showing up and order small first, food comes out quick so don't worry.
