Sefa kitchen is this creative / adventurous middle eastern eatery in Bondi. It is indeed creative and the dishes were good. I especially liked the roasted cauliflower on hummus. But... i don't think you get a good value for money. We paid $105 for 2 people with 3 dishes (not mains, the dishes are smaller as they are designed to share) + 2 desserts and 1 glass of wine definitely overpriced. But the quality was there...

Dessert (almond cake, sahleb & sumac watermelon)! Delishious and surprising flavour combinations.

We had the pumpkin, the haloumi, the duck, the cauliflower (MUST HAVE) and the basturma: all nicely seasoned, balanced and well presented!

They have a killer breakfast menu that's served all day. Took my family here when they were visiting from the states. We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast which came with poached eggs with truffle oil on olive sourdough, served with char-grilled haloumi, crispy pancetta, semi-dried tomatoes, spinach & chorizo! Very delicious, I highly recommend. We also ordered the trio tasting plate so we could have a little bit of everything. My husband ordered the shakshouka (middle eastern breakfast) it was ok, we were expecting more from this dish, it was a bit bland. They offer some great coffee! If you're in the mood for some booze, they offer some great cocktails, beer, and wine. The staff are friendly and the place is always packed. I would recommend making a reso before you show up.

It was a busy Sunday afternoon but we accepted the 1 hr wait and boy was is worth it! The food was amazing!!! I had the brunch breakfast burrito and being a Cali girl it was hard to order because you know all the awesome Mexican food is in SoCal :D if not Mexico, it was so yum! My breakfast burrito was deconstructed and delicious. Look at my photos, the burrito included chorizo cooked fancy, spiced up perfectly scrambled eggs and flour tortillas (or corn tortillas). I also had a bit of my aunty's white truffle oil scramble eggs WOW! I will never be able to eat normal scrambled eggs again! We will definitely return before we leave Australia! I forgot to mention how wonderful and helpful the waitresses and hostess are! My apologies for the multiple updates as my international cellphone and wireless connection at our temp home was acting up.

When I questioned the bill, was given a receipt with a list of random prices he typed in. He got incredibly aggressive and threatening when questioned, in front of my child and mother. And had the nerve to say he Undercharged and told me to pay MORE!!! Felt little choice as he was so threatening and didn't want to get into an altercation in front of my family. Be warned! He should have his license removed. I've lodged a complaint with the fair trade commission so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I spoke with others who have told me that my experience is not unique. What a horrible person!

Crunchy on the outside, moist yet fluffy…read moreon the inside, and laced with a concoction of finely chopped herbs, these deep-fried, chickpea puree balls are so much more than the typical garlic laden, late night snack edible only by drunkards' standards. On the corner of Wairoa Avenue, this unassuming diner sits further enough back from the beach and Bondi's busy bars that it doesn't typically have hoards of people walking through the doors. This lack of patronage I initially took to be an indication of local's disapproval - a recent visit disproving this theory altogether. For $14, I ordered the unexpectedly massive falafel plate - five of them, plus the sauce of your choice (I went for a rich tomato puree) along with three salads (I ended up with the roast eggplant, tabouleh and cucumber and tomato options). They even gave me a little pot of tahini upon insistence. The restaurant space is pretty big considering the tiny counter from which to order, and is rarely populated in full, while the fluoro lighting doesn't do much in the way of ambience. Dismiss these minor points, and you're in for a deliciously affordable meal, Israeli style.
