The salon Is clean and comfortable however where this salon lacks is in customer service and professionalism. I booked for a shellac pedicure and dip redo on natural nails. the tech broke 2 of my natural nails which is always upsetting as they take time and effort to grow. my nails were finished they were good but not perfect. After my nail service I was scheduled for a pedi with shellac appointment which I was suddenly told would not be happening because my nails took too long.i did not want to argue so I hesitantly said ok to. I sat down to get my shellac removed from my toes for no more than 3 minutes and was accused that it was dip and that it wasn't coming off. i was asked to "find somewhere else to go" and leave. bottom line I was rudely treated and sent away with my shellac chipped: peeling off on my walk home. very dissapointed In the way I was treated.

We had sat waiting for our toe polish to dry for 3-dryer sequences (as we were instructed) and afterwards one of the estheticians wrapped our feet in saran wrap and brought us our socks and boots. It did seem to be a rather quick time for polish to dry, but I trusted that the esthetician would most likely know better- assuming she had done this numerous times. After making the 20 minute drive home, my daughter and I both took of our boots/shoes to check the pedicure, and unfortunately all toes were smudged with larger chips from the tops of the toe nails. It was quite unpleasing to the eye and very disappointing considering I paid $75.00 each + tip. Understanding that these things do happen, I called and explained that the situation and rescheduled a touch up on November 7th. When we arrived the second time, we were told to find our nail color and then we waited for the estheticians to become available. One came out and told us to come to the spa chairs. I had mentioned to her that I was sorry that we had to return for the second time and she muttered under her breath "well, I'm sorry it smudged", sarcastically. I was surprised at her reaction, but tried not to read too much into it. We did not have the same two estheticians, as the one my daughter had originally was with another client. I had the same one. Neither smiled once throughout the entire polish nor made any attempt to speak with us. Their demeanor and body language was extremely negative and it was obvious that they were annoyed to be doing a touch up. My daughter's esthetician did not even remove most of the polish that was on previously and merely rubbed off the smudged part and slopped a bunch more coats back on to cover. They put us under the dryer and left us there, again for 3 dry sequences. Which was surprising considering 3 dry sequences wasn't adequate time in the first appointment. We sat for over 4 dry sequences when we decided that we would leave. No one came to check on us or speak with us this entire time, but the two girls could be heard chit chatting in the hallway. We starting putting on our shoes and one girl came in to help take off the foam sandals. My daughter wanted to keep the foam sandals on to prevent any possible scuffs; however her esthetician had put the sandals on the wrong feet. My daughter told the girl this and she chuckled before leaving the room and telling her friend (the other esthetician). After this interaction, the two girls laughed hysterically in the hallway until we got up and walked by to leave. Even then, they were suppressing laughter to the point that they could hardly mutter out a "good-bye". As we grabbed our jackets and things, the two girls could still be seen watching us, talking and laughing in the hallway. No one saw us to the exit or granted us any acknowledgment of leaving. Looking back, the entire experience was extremely unprofessional, unsympathetic and a costly waste of time. Even the second time around the pedicures were mediocre at best, which makes me want to puke considering (again) I paid $75.00 each for them AND went back a second time. It only adds insult to injury that the estheticians were annoyed and unfriendly.

They always manage to squeeze me in. It'll run you $18-20 with tip to get your brows done. They do also tend to push the upsell, so if you don't want to shell out on tinting and such, I recommend practicing saying no before you head on in.

I was a bit worried that I wouldn't…read morebe happy with it because this past summer, I had the most amazing facial at a 'fancy' resort in Vermont - I was worried that maybe I was now spoiled and wouldn't be happy with this, I was more than satisfied with the facial I received. First Nina cleansed my skin and did an analysis to determine which kind of facial would be best for me - on her advice, I chose the Ozygen facial. The facial was thorough, Nina was gentle and professional. Caryl Baker stores are not spas though, so you don't get the relaxing quiet that you would get at other spas, but the facial itself was very good. I will go back.

The pedicure I got was the best I have ever had. My nails looked so neat, and the colour is still on my toes! The massage chairs are divine- but don't be shy to ask how they work. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but once I nailed the setting, I was able to enjoy it. The gel nails I got stayed on for about 3 weeks, until I went into the salon to have them taken off. They were in great shape when I had them removed, but I had just grown old of them. The shellac stayed on for this full period too, without chipping-- which is more than what I can say for most salons offering shellac polish. I was really impressed that Vanessa stayed after the closing hour to complete my nails, without rushing me. Overall, the decor is a bit tacky, but I will come here again for the service. It is fantastic, very affordable and the products are the best I have received. They have a GREAT, fun selection of polishes, including the shellac too (many other salons don't have a great selection). I would recommend this salon to friends, and would definitely go again!
