I really, REALLY wish I had read the reviews. What a terrible experience. I came in for a quick acrylic set and pedicure. My hands have been left swollen, painful, chopped up cuticles... he was literally filing down my skin! He did them almost shorter than my actual nails. He filed them crooked, literally in different directions. Every single time I said, stop you're hurting me, or you're filing them sideways, he would get very short tempered and tell me he 'knows what he's doing'. Obviously, that's untrue. Avoid this place at all costs. As well, while my nails were drying, a woman came in to complain that her gel nails cracked after less than a week. I admired her for telling them off like that, as I'm just as frustrated with the horrible results. read more

I went today only because it is a holiday and it was the only place open. I needed a new color asap. I had read the reviews and still took the risk. The reviews are 100% correct. Even the ones that "are not recommended" by yelp. They are not friendly and usually I can deal with that. I don't go there to make friends I go to get my nails done. However, if you aren't going to be nice you better do a good job. All I got was shellac nail color. No manicure or anything. My nails were prepped like I said I just needed a color change. Well the girl applied it horribly. I had to keep telling her to fix the nails. She also would not clean off the cuticles when she got polish on them. Everyone who gets shellac knows that once you go under the UV light the shellac hardens and it's almost impossible to remove with out cutting out the pieces. So I had to keep telling her to please clean up my fingers. I also had to ask for a third coat because the way she applied the first 2 coats was uneven and yiu could still see areas of my nail underneath. She was annoyed I asked for a third coat. She also kept wanting to pull my hand out of the UV light when she had JUST placed it there. Maybe 10 sec in? ... yeah no... I know it doesn't take 10 secs for shellac to harden. So I had to keep telling her NO that I wanted the full timer. I have experience with shellac and if taken out of the UV light too early it will bubble and crack when new coats are applied. I will edit and let you guys know how long this color lasts. Just all around a bad experience. I won't be going back. read more

My regular salon was booked up for the next 10 days, so while at the mall I made a walk in appointment. It was a big mistake!! The Girl burned 4 different fingers with the electric Dermal tool, and I told her that. 4 hours later it still feels like a bee sting, or sun burn. Under the UV light the nails,almost all felt like I put them on a hot plate, or burned with Hot Glue. I told her I wear them long, and she tried to tell me "too Long" 3 different times, I was nervous because she was burning me, so she kept tell me "don't be nervous, loosen your hands!" My nails are not as long as I like, but I needed to get out of there. I have been wearing Acrylic nails for most of 15 years, and this is the worse experience I've ever had. Went on a Saturday, so it was fairly busy. I was in and out in 30 minutes with a full acrylic set. I've had my nails done countless times, but I recently moved to Ottawa for school and was looking for a new, nice salon. At my last place, they would do the whole treatment - cuticle removal/care, a short hand massage to relax you, and then the sanding/buffing and application process. Here, however, it was extremely rushed. No cuticle pushback (and trust me, I needed it), just straight to sanding/buffing, tip application, and acrylic application. When he applied the tips, I noticed right away that my pointer finger was VERY crooked. I pointed it out, since I didn't want that to be a part of my final manicure (who would?), and the guy kind of rolled his eyes, laughed, and said don't worry. I was worried. But I kept quiet, not wanting to annoy the guy. Big mistake. None of my nails are the same length, he only did one coat of polish, and had me sit in the hand dryer area for 20 minutes before a different lady came over to apply my top coat. Yes, 20 of my 30 minutes in there was me waiting for a top coat. Will not be returning. I get that it was busy, but come on. I felt like I was getting kicked out and was completely rushed. Terrible experience. :( It was my first time getting a manicure and the manicurist cut deeply into my cuticles making them bleed. Now my fingers have swollen cuticles, hurt, and look 100 times worse than before - kind of defeats the purpose. I would not recommend this place, they clearly don't know what they're doing and were rushing so quickly without a care that my fingers were bleeding. The nail technician casually mentions my fingers "probably won't get infected"... how reassuring. Needless to say I probably won't ever get a manicure again - especially not from here. read more

The manager is very rude, aggressive & unprofessional. He tried to grab my arm and say "if you dont like it we will cut them off" Dont ever waste your money here unless you want to be assaulted. They dont value their clients and their spa is disgusting. If you pay $15 for an acetone soak to remove your nails instead they will take a nail tip and try to forcibly remove your nail, leaving them very damaged. The NASTIEST spa i've ever been to. I was tired of paying $80 for a simple re fill and them breaking off within a week so I decided to try a new salon and once the nail tech started to remove my nails from daisy nails and spa two of my fingers were green and infected. We had to remove all nails and treat my fingers with anti bacterial cream which to be completely honest I don't know what I expected considering they do not sanitize there pedicure tubs they just rinse them out after clients with the hose and I have always seen the workers take the dirty used tools and place them right back into there desks to use on the next client without proper sanitation or any sanitation of that matter. I went in on Saturday for a fill. On the same day, one of my nails broke. I went back the next day for a repair. Less than a day later, another nail cracked. (This is my third day in a row going into the salon at this point) I was fed up, and asked for a re-application. I didn't want to have to come in every day to get a different nail fixed. That's outrageous. I'm leaving for a holiday in a few days for crying out loud. Anyway, they REFUSED to redo my nails without charging me a FEE. My set didn't last one day and I had to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said "No, I'm not giving you any more of my money. I'll go somewhere else." Please avoid. Not the most sanitary place. It seems they are cutting corners to save money (I.e. Reusing disposable flip flops and toe spacers which I find so gross and unsanitary). The lady serving me kept checking her phone while doing my pedicure. Before I soaked my feet I noticed there were things floating in the water. I had to tell her to drain the water before (I regret not requesting it to be cleaned, keep reading to see why...) I had to keep telling her to clean my nails more (remove more hang nails or cuticles, she had barely worked on then and wanted to proceed with Polish). I accept I didn't do shellac but my Polish lasted barely 4 days (I don't do dishes or anything extreme that warrants the Polish chipping on my fingers AND toes. Normally regular Polish in my toes can last weeks, this time it chipped in less than a week.) While I was drying my nails the lady serving me left the salon for more than 20 mins (I was waiting for someone so I didn't mind all that much being there to whole time). I strongly considered up and leaving since she left and the owner did before I paid or tipped. They clearly didn't care for my money if they left mid service. For reference, the owner is responsible of taking payments (I don't know why). The only positive thing is I was service quickly albeit not having an appointment, the lady serving me allowed me to correct and give instructions on what she was doing. And I was satisfied with the end product (minus it not lasting long enough). I regret going there since I left my feet a itchy (I've never had foot problems before!) and I heavily question their cleaning policies. I hope it's nothing serious but it has been very annoying and disrupting my sleep. I only went there because I had a gift card. But please do not go there ever. I had even strongly considered telling a pregnant woman not to get a pedicure there as she walked in while I was drying my nails. Alas, at least I'm writing a review now. I hope an inspector passes by and gives them warnings about their conduct. Apparently the pedicure and manicure was 40$, I assure you you can get more seemingly sanitary service elsewhere for the same price. Worst experience with a mani/pedi ever! I went during a busy time so they rushed the entire experience. I didn't get to soak my feet before the woman started working on me. Calluses were not removed, my feet look just as bad as they did before the pedicure. When she was filing the nails, she started filing the skin too which hurt and i had to tell her few times. No soaking time for hands either which were manicured while I was in the pedicure chair. She filed and cut the nails right on top of me which grossed me out as all the nails and dust from filing landed on my clothes. My cuticles were not done well, in fact the skin is peeling around the nails now. The entire mani/pedi took about 20 minutes, followed by 20 minutes of drying time. I was highly disappointed. I was hoping for a relaxed treatment but instead was rushed. They only take debit or cash. read more

I love having my nails done there-the art they do on my nails is gorgeous, and they give great hand massages. The prices are also great! I've been going here on and off for the past 3 years. The last few times have been pretty disappointing... this salon is more focused on pumping out customers and making money then customer satisfaction. I was here less then a week ago. I had a full set of solar gel nails with white tips applied. The nail tips did not fit properly and there was an empty space between the artificial tip and my actual nail bed that filled with dirt despite being kept clean. My nails began to lift off 2 days after getting them done. I went back and asked if we could fix it and was told they were too busy and to make an appointment which I was fine to do. Then I asked how much roughly it would be and was told I would have to pay for a full set all over again.... when I asked why I was told it was because I was to rough with my nails the first day I got them and thats why they didn't set right and started to lift and that it wasn't the salons fault I wasn't expecting a freebie I was willing to pay a fair price for repairs but that was just crap service. At one point she literally dropped one of her tools on the ground and then kept using it on my hands which is in my opinion disgusting. My nails didn't look nice at the end either they were all uneven. I paid extra to have shellac put on and literally 2 days later the shellac started to chip which shouldn't happen I'm pretty sure????? Not even a week later one of the nails fell off already which should not happen and today a week and a bit later another one of my nails popped off as well. Not to mention at the end when I was paying I gave the girl a smaller tip because she really didn't deserve more and she gave me the dirtiest look, took the money out of my hands and walked away without even saying thank you. My gel nails took only 7 minutes from scratch. The drying time was longer... The "technician" (and I am putting this term very loosely) ground my nail so hard it was painful. I had already chosen my colour but yet he still tries to convince me to do COLOURED TIPS EW. He cuts my nails without asking me what shape or length I wanted and when I asked "shouldn't I wash my hands first" (to wash off the powder, ground nails, and residue off, as every other nail salon will ask you to do) he says no, we're almost done and paints over the bits creating bumps in the nail. I walked in and asked if they had anything available right now and they took me in right away, sat me down and started giving me my french manicure, the guy who did my manicure clearly did not have much experience and he was rushing, I was watching the other customers around me, there were at least 5 customers sitting around waiting, they were way over booked. i insisted on going to a non-asian nail salon but my friend suggested a guy named Kevin to do my nails, i was trying to explain how i wanted my nails (pointy) and the guy just grabbed my hand and started putting the tips and cutting them so long , i asked for shorter pointy nail so he started cutting them shorter, and twisting my finger (so painful)and when i was trying to choose nail polish he kept saying that just choose a colour and sit down !!! I have NEVER had such a HORRIBLE experience a a nail salon before. The guy, sorry I do not know his name, was not even looking at my hands while he was filing and shaping them. So after he had finished my cuticles and shaping on the one hand I looked at them. Like WTF did he do!? Where did he come from and why on earth is he working at a nails salon! My cuticles were a complete mess, I could tell when e was half ass pushing them back that they would be bad but I was still shocked at this bad. The shaping of my nails were all over the place. One was half a heptagon, most squared very unevenly and sloppy. I asked him to make them round. He still wasn't looking while filling. I showed him that he was not getting all my nail, the underpart wasn't filled down. Like incredibly sloppy. I asked him 3 times to round them evenly and pay attention to making them smooth. He didn't care, horrible attitude, once he did the one nail as I asked - which my the way took longer than him soaking, cleaning cuticles, and filing all nails geometric style- I looked at it and walked out saying I don't want a manicure from here. Worst part is I already payed! I pre payed because it was regular polish and I didn't want to mess them up as paying. I cant believe I payed for the WORST TREATMENT EVER!! It was the person, a guy, that is the reason I wouldn't never go back. I cannot say that the other workers are bad because I doubt they are. I was very unfortunate to have had to deal with him.
