I went today only because it is a holiday and it was the only place open. I needed a new color asap. I had read the reviews and still took the risk. The reviews are 100% correct. Even the ones that "are not recommended" by yelp. They are not friendly and usually I can deal with that. I don't go there to make friends I go to get my nails done. However, if you aren't going to be nice you better do a good job. All I got was shellac nail color. No manicure or anything. My nails were prepped like I said I just needed a color change. Well the girl applied it horribly. I had to keep telling her to fix the nails. She also would not clean off the cuticles when she got polish on them. Everyone who gets shellac knows that once you go under the UV light the shellac hardens and it's almost impossible to remove with out cutting out the pieces. So I had to keep telling her to please clean up my fingers. I also had to ask for a third coat because the way she applied the first 2 coats was uneven and yiu could still see areas of my nail underneath. She was annoyed I asked for a third coat. She also kept wanting to pull my hand out of the UV light when she had JUST placed it there. Maybe 10 sec in? ... yeah no... I know it doesn't take 10 secs for shellac to harden. So I had to keep telling her NO that I wanted the full timer. I have experience with shellac and if taken out of the UV light too early it will bubble and crack when new coats are applied. I will edit and let you guys know how long this color lasts. Just all around a bad experience. I won't be going back.

Went on a Saturday, so it was fairly busy. I was in and out in 30 minutes with a full acrylic set. I've had my nails done countless times, but I recently moved to Ottawa for school and was looking for a new, nice salon. At my last place, they would do the whole treatment - cuticle removal/care, a short hand massage to relax you, and then the sanding/buffing and application process. Here, however, it was extremely rushed. No cuticle pushback (and trust me, I needed it), just straight to sanding/buffing, tip application, and acrylic application. When he applied the tips, I noticed right away that my pointer finger was VERY crooked. I pointed it out, since I didn't want that to be a part of my final manicure (who would?), and the guy kind of rolled his eyes, laughed, and said don't worry. I was worried. But I kept quiet, not wanting to annoy the guy. Big mistake. None of my nails are the same length, he only did one coat of polish, and had me sit in the hand dryer area for 20 minutes before a different lady came over to apply my top coat. Yes, 20 of my 30 minutes in there was me waiting for a top coat. Will not be returning. I get that it was busy, but come on. I felt like I was getting kicked out and was completely rushed. And I have crooked, uneven nails for the holidays. Only gave 2 stars because it was cheaper than all the other places I've looked at in the area. I guess I can see why it's cheaper.

I had gotten them done approximately 9 hours ago, and 1 nail had already cracked and another broke off. WORST SALON

I can honestly say that this is the WORST salon I've ever been to. The staff are rude, they rush when they do their work, and when they put the nails on crooked, they'll insist on it "just being your finger". I had gotten them done approximately 9 hours ago, and 2 nails had already cracked and 1 had broken off. So ridiculous. Save yourself the money and time!

Wow i did this gel nail for 55$ dollar after a week or 2 it broke not even done none professional recommend dont go

I called the salon at 12:00 to make an appointment for both myself and my Bestie. They gave me a time (3:30pm) and while I was had them on the phone I had a few questions.. Welp the lady who I was speaking to hung up on my mid question.. Turned off by this , I went against my better judgment and decided to keep my appointment as I deserved a little pampering :) We showed up the the appointment early (3:15) and the place was packed, they had overbooked themselves (which was expected with Christmas in a week and them accepting walk ins) so we patiently waited for our turn. My manicure experience was greatly lacking, the lady was kind and showed interest in my pregnancy but went on to pretend to cut my cuticles with a little file and then onto the shellac. She took her time applying many layers to get the rich red I was going for, which I appreciated but once it was complete (And I was sat patiently waiting for my friend to be finished) there I realized I had nail polish on the bottom of almost every finger.. so I sat there removing the polish and also noticed a few blemished (but decided to not complain) Once I got home I realized the amount of bumps/bubbles and spots missing the "top coat". The following day I woke up only to realize my middle finger had chipped and started to crack. Im extremely disappointed with the service.. considering I paid 40$ before tip.. also note I live out of town and travelled 35 minutes to make this appointment... I'm now one day away from my "due date" and have the decide if I want to risk driving the 35 minutes to get the one horrid nail fixed.. suuuuper unimpressed!! I would NOT recommend going to thIs establishment, especially during busy seasons..

They were mildly insulted at the state of my nails and demanded who had done to this me. Everyone who works there is awesome, Everyone's friendly, chatty, and the two times I've been there now, the conversation has run the full gamut. The second time I went, I decided to get a full set of acrylics done because my fingernails kept breaking and peeling. It only cost 35 dollars, which I found to be a pretty low price. One thing to keep in mind is that even though you can use the debit/credit machine to pay for the work done, they do prefer that tips to the various nail technicians be given in cash. I myself try to tip the way I would a good waiter in a restaurant, though I don't generally know what is thought of as customary. I'm a 20% girl most times. They will make suggestions and may try to upsell a bit, but stand firm on what you want done. These are your hands, and they'll go along with what it is you want in the end. SO far, both times I've gone, I've been incredibly satisfied and pleased with the service and quality of craftmanship there. The place is very sanitary, bright and sunny, and the bathrooms are clean as well. It has a hair salon/barbershop type of feel to it, and all the customers usually end up chatting with one another as well. Friendliness REALLY goes a long way.

To say that I am disappointed, is a massive understatement. I paid around $850 for 7 threads and there is no visible difference in my brows before and after. I am a student to top that off, so I had to save for this procedure. I called their office back as soon as I got home from the appointment and explained the situation for them and Amy was able to see me the Monday after. She massaged my forehead to "engage the threads" but that made no difference either. I explained to Amy at my second appointment that I was only staying in Ottawa for one more week, so this had to be fixed before I left. She told me she would call me back to schedule it for Wednesday but I never heard back from them, so I called them at 9 am on Wednesday and the receptionist told me that there was no appointment for me on the schedule but she was able to squeeze me in at 2:20 pm. I showed up to the office at that time and it turns out that they did not schedule me in, so the receptionist asked me to wait 15 minutes in the car, and then Amy would have a chat with me. What an absolute clusterfuck. It turns out that the nurse practitioner would not allow any more threads to be put in within that timeframe due to liability issues. I am so incredibly disappointed because I spent so much money on this and did not have any visible results. I expressed my disappointment to Amy but was not offered any refunds or anything. I think the only reasonable thing for their clinic to have done is to offer me a refund for this service because it was so poorly done. There should have been more threads put in and they should have been more barbed to accommodate for the tension in the forehead.
