Store is huge with an amazing inventory of outdoor clothing and accessories. You can pick up Keys-theme souveniers and some salt water taffy! There is a giant fish tank and in the center of the store you will find a replica of Ernest Hemingways's boat Pilar. You can climb up and enjoy a bit of Hemingways's history. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They will provide you with great gear recommendations. Store is organized and great for browsing even if you don't buy anything. However prices are great and reasonable so most likely you will not leave empty handed. You get beautiful view of the marina so definitely worth visiting!

We asked one of their staff member what we need to get up and running for some shore fishing at the resort we were staying at. Adam was super patient and got us all set up with poles, hooks, and live bait. We ended up going back to The Tackle Box the next day for some more live bait and ended up buying their fishing charter last moment for the next mid morning. Got to the docks about one hour early and Chris the owner and first mate Adam were there ready to go!! Chris and Adam were very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my boys and had fish on within a matter minutes! I have stopped into this shop a number of times over the years and have actually hired a guide…read morethrough their office. I know the shop and the stock they offer pretty well. On the other hand, I'm simply a tourist to them and no one yells Norm when I enter. That sets the background for this visit. I wanted to change the retrieve on two fly reels and called in advance to make sure someone was available. A young fellow by the name of Chris said sure bring them in so I went down immediately. They switched my Sage reel over and reloaded it. My Allen reel presented problems and they were unable to do that immediately. Instead they said they would call the manufacturer and seek assistance. They are going to call me when they hear anything. After spending 1 1/2 hours on reels that they didn't sell and wouldn't expect any sale from, the charge was $0.00. Now I call that going out of your way for a customer. They earned my appreciation and good will and that will probably pay off for them sometime down the road. In the meantime I'll spread the word that their customer service is above and beyond the norm. Thanks to Chris and Key Outfitters for providing such outstanding care.
