Removed a lot of the fuss. 2. The wineries chosen were really nice. We went to La Grange, Blue Valley, and Aspen Dale. Aspen Dale was the most thorough and interesting, although the view at Blue Valley was photo central. No shade to La Grange though, they were nice too. 3. Doni, the owner/driver, is really nice and engaging. She called the day before to confirm, and was just really cool overall. It's a new company, so I'd expect them to maybe add winery spots or more options, but for the money, it's fun and a good value. (Also, it sure as hell beats driving out there ourselves. Just sayin'.)

This 2 hour tour to hop on and off for a couple of photos of me is perfect. You see all the sites in the comfort on sitting on your butt. If your hoomin wants to spend time looking at everything on display, then this isn't for you. Your hoomin should rent a bike and just take his/her sweet time. This is perfect for my instagram. Juliana was our tour guide. She's a dog person. She let me sit in the front (where I had the best view). The sites were all outdoors so I could get off and just romp around. The guide talks throughout the tour, and shares the fun stories and the updates on the opening of the sites (you know, the pandemic is still here so only a couple of places are slowly opening up). On a hot day in DC, this is the perfect activity (see the stuff and don't have to get sweaty). I LOVE wind blowing on my face. I'd just stick my tongue out and eat it all. All you can eat wind! Don't know how to brew - NO PROBLEM Don't Have the supplies and equipment to Brew - NO PROBLEM Don't mind waiting 2 weeks for you Beer to ferment - THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU! So as I said our company offered employees a Home Brew experience as one of the options for our summer event this year, you can choose from 2 types of beer to brew, then you wait and about a week before the event a big box off supplies and equipment arrives at your door. The day before the event you get an e-mail with a zoom meeting invite for the actual event, along with some instructions so you are ready when the class starts. Our Instructors were Mike and Kevin, they meeting started on time and while the is some downtime while the water boils and the grains steep Mike and Kevin kept things interesting with helpful hints and tips, Brewing history, the reasons why you are going what you are doing at a certain time, what happens when you do certain things, why those things are good, bad or necessary and what to expect in the next two weeks while you are waiting for your beer to finish. There were some questions from our group and Mike answered them all, he was very knowledgeable about beer and the process of making beer. While I don't think I will become a master brewer and take up brewing as a full time hobby I did very much enjoy the experience and found it very informative and educational . If you like beer, or even if you are not a huge fan (yes we had one in our group and he enjoyed the class as well) I would highly recommend trying this type of event at least once, just so you know a little more about beer. Based on my experience with this home brew event I would be very willing to attend one of City Brew Tours in person events when things open back up again.
