The space felt welcoming, and the menu had a wide range of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I started with the Egg Rolls and Wings, which were both flavorful and cooked just right. Each dish had its own unique flavor, but the Chicken and Waffles stood out as a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the Rockfish was incredibly fresh. To finish, I had the Chocolate Cake and Bread Pudding. Both were rich and comforting, and I would definitely order them again. What really made the experience special was the customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out perfectly. I left feeling like I had found a new go-to spot in the city.

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

That said, the overall bar experience was "incredibly average" The drink selection was pretty typical for any given DC bar, but that also came with price points that made me raise an eyebrow. When my friends and I also arrived, they did not have any food offered (perhaps because we went during H Street Fest). The service at the bar seemed impersonal... don't know if that was intentional for us to focus on being together with friends, or they just wanted to serve us as quickly as possible. I probably wouldn't go back here anytime soon, but I'm glad to try this place.

The bar and seating are decent sized and the staff is very friendly. The reason for such low stars is no matter what day of the week or how busy it may seem they only have one staff member to service the bar and the seating areas and the poor bartender is usually pulled in so many directions at once. The area can be completely dead on weekends and then extremely packed on weekdays. It is really a tossup to what you'll run into. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and would easily bump to the next star if the staff wasn't so overwhelmed.

There weren't too many tables for people to face each other which is also a little bit strange they do have outdoor seating but the view honestly isn't something that I would recommend for outdoor seating even though it's on the wharf Parking in this area is really tough.
